Very good over all! Enough big games, many smaller interesting ones. Surprisingly the most exciting things were third party titles from Bethesda and Square! Of course Mario Odyssey is awesome, but we already knew loads about it and it's coming very soon so I don't want to see nothing more.
I have mixed feelings about Xenoblade 2 though. The segment was boring and too long. Voice acting was so-so and the game looks a bit generic at the surface level.
Lola Pop has pretty fun moves! You can perpetually shield bounce if you dash midair, and when you bounce back, press dash again and again to keep bouncing!
Her double clapbacks can get pretty annoying in able hands though...
Hopefully there's a bunch of new titles for the Holidays!
Some kind of a new multiplayer would be good, but I think it's too early for Smash Bros. since we already got Mario Kart, Splatoon and Arms this year. They might announce some big updates for Splatoon 2 and Arms.
I rather enjoy the rotating levels and modes! I get what the Amaro is saying.
It's the same like when you had to wait the week to see a new episode of a show, and it was an event, but now you can watch thousands of episodes from hundreds of shows on demand, thus devaluing them all.
It also makes the game feel like less of a videogame that you can play whenever, and more like you're participating in events that happen whether or not you're there or not.
Not trying to sound salty, but looks inferior to the original pixel art.
I don't get it why these big corporations won't utilize modern pixel art techniques. A "remaster" with the same art style, a modern engine and modern "3D accelerated" tech could be awesome. The same pixel style but more details and advanced effects. Or maybe use hand-drawn paintings for backgrounds and hand-animated sprites? (That might be too expensive though..)
Instead they opted for this weird mobile 3D that lacks any shaders or lighting effect? I mean, it's okay, but just inferior.
Haha, can't wait for my pre-order (that I made a million years ago) to be cancelled!
@MarcelRguez Ain't that image the truth. I was looking to buy one for my niece, since the SNES mini would be a handy way to introduce him to the world of Nintendo.
@victimOfNirvana Yeah, there's nothing wrong with fixed camera angles as such. I enjoy the likes of the original Resident Evil games too.
At least they are promising "tweaked controls", so hopefully they forego tank controls in favor of regular analogue stick controls that are relative to the screen.
Haha, it's definitely gonna be the Pocket Edition if it ever comes to Switch. Even the base PS4 has trouble running the full game with a pleasant framerate, so I find it incredible that it could ever come to Switch.
"Fear not, however. Those original fixed camera angles will remain in place"
I'm not sure if that's a good thing.. The fixed angles and tank controls where compromises they had to make back in the day. I'm not too keen on holding on to obsolete gameplay mechanics just for the sake of being preservation.
If they're not going to bring this game to the west officially, then they should just include an English language option in the Japanese version of the game. I mean, there's very little new text to translate compared to MH Generations.
With all these component shortages piling up, we might be seeing a lowkey hardware revision sooner than anticipated. I'm not expecting anything noticeable though.
The performance issues should drop the score even more. If the get it to run solid 30 fps, then 8 seems about right, but as of now I'd say it's a 6. I like the game a lot, but it's not very fun running all jerky.
"In addition it's also possible for anyone to download a free app that means if you have two Switch systems you can enjoy the dual-screen gameplay with only one full copy of the game."
I wish more games did this - especially Nintendo's First Party titles.
@Rontanamo_Bay Sorry for returning to you so late. But updating the controllers should be as easy as going to System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Update Controllers.
I was playing the original freeware version on PC! It's rather good, quality through and through! Would buy on Switch, only might on 3DS ~ A good fit for the platform though.
Of course it's non-ideal, and maybe a bit cumbersome, but if you're playing somewhere where you can sit and have the equipment laying on tables and whatnot, then it's just a matter of connecting two cables, firing up the app and start playing.
I hope that the reason they haven't sold us any VC games on Switch yet is that they're working on a way to allow us to transfer our Wii U and 3DS VC purchases to the new account - without additional fees.
Or they're figuring out how to maximize profit by selling us new improved versions of the same games. x)
@Ryu_Niiyama Alright, I think I know what you mean.
I kinda took it in "as is", and the trailer was fun and the world and characters seem interesting. (I thought the swearing was a bit unnecessary tbh. Maybe Ancel thought that the original fans are all matured so it's okay.) I don't mind them making the game different to the first one, as long as it's good.
Where did you read about an "online emphasis"?
EDIT: Oh, it's mentioned in the official site. I wouldn't call it an emphasis though.
For the record, Michel Ancel appeared on Live at E3. He was asked about the Switch, and he didn't say anything about BG&E2. Might not mean anything, but it happened.

Re: Netflix Renews Castlevania Series For A Second, Longer Season
I rather enjoyed it! Even if it started a bit slow and the dialogue was clumsy at times, the tone was right and it had mostly great action scenes!

Re: Hardware Review: SFANS Adapter For Switch: The World's First Truly Portable Dock
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Well that's awesome if they'll add the ports! I was just going off on what was shown at E3 and their official site.
@gohanrage They don't look exactly the same.
Re: Hardware Review: SFANS Adapter For Switch: The World's First Truly Portable Dock
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Nyko's portable dock would be perfect were it not for the lack of USB ports!
Re: The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ Is Finally Getting Its Euro Launch This September
@Rontanamo_Bay And the issue doesn't occur with other games?
You should probably try updating the controllers too.
Re: Beleaguered UK Retailer GAME Blames Lack Of Switch Stock For Profit Warning
Finland seem to be reasonably well stocked. Although they cost 350€ in here, tax included. That's equal to £308 or $400.
Hey, I'll cut you a deal! I'll sell you guys one for £350 or $450 a pop, plus postage and possible toll fees.

@antonvaltaz Default Switch controllers don't have pressure sensitive triggers, which many GC games require. :
Re: Fret Not, Pikmin 4 is Still "Progressing"
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I'd imagine they're either looking to increase the scope of it, or they're modifying/adding to it Switch specific features.

For goodness sake, Nintendo announced more new Amiibo than games in this year's E3!!
Re: Random: Xbox Wishes Nintendo Well for E3 2017, "Hope you all SMASH it"
Sometimes it feels a little bit condescending how these "big" companies pat poor ol' Nintendo on the head. ;p

The trailer was awesome and I'm very excited for the game!
It just feels like it's too big and high tech for the Switch. I hope I'm wrong and the Switch version will be excellent.
