Re: Guide: How To Farm Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Star Fragments, And What You Can Do With Them

Moshugan

One of my biggest gripes with the game is that there was no way to craft, or have a blacksmith make, weapons for you (save for a few specific ones).
Some materials have too few uses in my opinion. It felt a little pointless to get Opals and Ambers etc. as rewards when you can't do much with them for the majority of the game.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE You did visit Hateno Ancient Tech Lab and got the Rune there though, right..?

Re: Aonuma Says That Open World Is Here to Stay in Zelda Games

Moshugan

I'm very excited for this!
It can only get better as they get more comfortable with creating open ended huge worlds, listen to criticism on BotW and study open world games in general.
At least the physics and chemistry system should stay, even if every installment wouldn't be as open as BotW.

@FNL I completely agree on more enemy/boss variety being needed! There should be more region/area specific enemies, small and big, like the desert dwelling Molduga.

And yes, more traditional, bigger temples should be a thing. And I'd like them to be region specific/themed.
One of the biggest disappointments in BotW was the Forgotten Temple. It looked so cool on the map, and going there was so awe inspiring, but it would have been better if there was a dungeon inside.

Re: Round Up: Yooka-Laylee's Scores Are In, And Critics Appear Divided

Moshugan

I think 6 to 8 out of 10 was to be expected. (And I have to say, 6 is still okay on a scale of 0-10) I'm pretty sure I will enjoy it, but it won't blow me away or anything. Ultimately it will come down to the particulars of the game if it'll become loved or not.

Playtonic might have succeeded in creating a pure bred successor to the N64 era platformers, but it might have payed off to modernize the concepts a little bit more, and try to put some AA (or even AAA) polish in there.

Re: Snake Pass Update Improves Rumble on Nintendo Switch

Moshugan

@GameOtaku Most games don't require a day one patch. It's just that bad cases tend to stick out more.

Besides, making games is hard. I've tried. There's a lot of things that might be overlooked and slip by unnoticed. Maybe the rumble wasn't so bad on their dev kits? Maybe it was fine in a build just before release, but some line of code was changed and it affected unexpected things?

The important thing is that it was fixed, and fast at that.

Re: Report: Amazon UK Offering Partial Refunds Following Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Complaints

Moshugan

I have had some issues, and easy to repeat. I was very close to the console, under a meter away, reclining on the sofa, the RIGHT Joy-Con partially obscured by my thigh and hands, and the controller didn't respond at all if it was too low behind me.

Feels bad man, considering I have had next to no issues with any of my other Nintendo products.

I just wonder if I should contact my retailer Amazon France, or my local Nintendo personnel? I'm situated in Finland.

Otherwise the Switch has been amazing for me! The portability and versatility have been great.

Re: Breath of the Wild's Art Director on Why Link's Classic Hat is Missing

Moshugan

The Hero's Tunic is a fine tradition, and we have accepted it as The Look for Link so most of don't think it looks strange on him. It is a bit quirky, and that only adds to the personality of Zelda games. Everything doesn't need to be "cool".

But he does have a point! It might look dorky to new players.
Besides, foregoing the compulsion of having the Green Garb opened up the possibility of adding a plethora of gear and clothing in the game, and that is so liberating!

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd March (North America)

Moshugan

@bubby444 Haha, you're valuing the US Dollar pretty high.
In reality 1 US Dollar is 0.95 Euros, or 0.82 British Pounds.

So $60 would translate into 57€! Conversely 70€ would translate into $73.5!! (And £70 would translate into $85.9 or 81.7€)

So the European eShop price is over 13 Dollars more expensive than the US price if NLife's info is correct!!

Re: Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons Are Disconnecting, And No One Seems To Know Why

Moshugan

I think that the theory about a glitch might be correct.

The idea is that the Joy-Con are still communicating with the Switch console via bluetooth even while connected. When they are that close to the console they don't need a very strong signal.

Usually when they are detached it should boost the signal, but the glitch prevents the bluetooth from switching modes, so the signal stays too weak.
