On all the 135 games I have on Switch, only one still have compatibility issues and it's NieR Automata, to the surprise of absolutely nobody...

@DennyCrane Apologizes accepted and I'm sorry if my previous comment seems rude. This make total sense then. Technically you play tabletop, since they aren't directly connected to the console, but the way it's build you play like in handheld mode. It makes sense that it work for you with NexiGo and not for me, who had the joycons attached to the console

@DennyCrane I played 120 hours and outside of the Manta and Star Ball, you cannot use the gyro for the pointer in handheld. I won't reply next, this is not the place to argumenting. Have a good day.

@DennyCrane It's in All-Stars, but not in handheld (except for the Manta and the Star Ball). The pointer was only witht the touchscreen. The gyro wasn't used for the pointer before, you had to play TV and Tabletop Mode. But now you can in handheld too, as highlighted by this review. I hope it clears the misunderstanding

I was one of the 10 people in the whole world who like the touchscreen in handheld mode, but I'm looking forward to gyro in handheld mode. Gyro on Switch 2 is much more accurate, so I feel this might be the better way to play in handheld!

@TrueBlueYoshi I don't need key-card, but if it has a free update to look better on Switch 2, that will be enought. In amy case, Switch 1 version will still look great, as it's a console above the PS3 in term of power

So Square Enix offer an S2 upgrade for your physical version of DQ3 Remake. But not for DQ1-2 Remake. But hey, they will offer one for FF Tactics... But not for Octopath Traveler. Weird how to go in both directions. They should just offer upgrade for physical S1 version, because many will reject game key cards

Finally! I can play Mario World and Yoshi's Island with their GBA controls (I already complete the GBA versions on NSO and was turned off by the SNES controls). Jumping with A, B for running and R for spin jump, that's what I use since the GBA games and still use in modern 2D Mario thanks to controls options since NSMB1! Now only the option to purshase the titles is needed to make Nintendo Classics 100% better than Virtual Console

If we want to show Square it's bad, buying collectively the Switch 1 and the Switch 2 upgrade of Final Fantasy Tactics and totally ignoring the Switch 2 key-card MIGHT give show them to stick with this path instead of this awful decision for DQ...

Anyone can tell me if there's good deals in Canada (Québec) for 4K TV that have 120Hz and HDR? I don't want a super big one, but not a small one, like the one we have since the Wii era. I hardly see myself spending more than 350$CAD, but if it's impossible, even on upcoming black friday, maybe I'll have to cut in other things.

No More Heroes 3 loading were a nightmare on Switch, but they're now non-existent on Switch 2! And Fire Emblem Three Hopes runs much smoother!

@Krull Exactly! Hopefully, a Switch 2 app might release soon. Since it released on Switch 1, in 2022, I don't watch Crunchyroll on phone or computer anymore.

I will definitively wait for more sales. Donkey Kong Bananza, unlike the US, is 10$CAD more than Tears of the Kingdom, in Canada. Marvelous often do sales, so I'll wait before getting Fune Factory Guardians of Azama (full on cartridge!). Witcher 3 was on sales only some weeks after its Switch release, so I'll wait a little before getting Cyberpunk. I will still get ASAP a Switch 2, as it's pretty much the price range I expected.

This and VGP planning to work with publishers to made their disappointing key card into REAL physical games are really a glimpse of hope for physical enjoyers!

That's why I'm not a fan of Key Game Cards...
I'll focus on 1st party and for 3rd party, I'll stick with Switch 1 physical games with upgrades as long as possible. One 1TB card come out, we'll see.

Square Enix and Capcom should take note, because their games are key game cards in Europe and NA. Hope Nintendo clarifies soon that region lock is only to their japanese-only console and that the games are still region free, so I can continue to find games complete on card from eastern Asia!

I'll continue to use my current Pro Controllers for multiplayer, but the AUX Jack is a game changer for me! No need to use a wireless headphone on TV, back to the good and more reliable wired one!

@SBandy1 Hori is my way to go with 3rd party! D-Pad Joy-con, multi-USB ports, etc. I xould use my Split Pad Pro/Compact controllers on the Switch 2 if the Split Pad Pro attachement work on the USB port, but I'll need new one for handheld. No D-Pad for 2D platform is a no go and it would be a sin to use circle pads for these type of games for me!

This will be my first time playing, as I only own Nintendo consoles.

@FishyS Same here. Fortunately, Xenoblade Chronicles X DE will keep me busy for a while, so I'll just buy a physical copy and play it on Switch 2 instead. The upcoming Atelier spinoff should release on the new hybrid console (I hope at least).

For anyone curious about the Xenoblade Chronicles X songs that will play with this theme, according to the trailer:

Interesting to see all that. So it will be the first Xenoblade game to be 1080p is not that much of a surprise, since the original was already 720p, but I'm not complaining. I'm surprised however that the cars are not ghosts anymore, but it's good news for all improvements Monolith Soft did. Seems the text in cutscenes have the same font as XC1 DE, which is the best IMO. Like everybody says, it was a nighmare on Wii U and one of the main reasons I never finished the original, unfortunately. I was sold day 1, but I'm even more excited now! 15GB was already insane and now it's even smaller!? That considering it will look better than its Wii U counterpart and will have even more content. This is insane!

@UltimateOtaku91 I get the old port thing for XCX, theorically. But in practice, people will be so surprised by how good it looks, how big the world is (I think it's 3 times Skyrim?) and how much content there is. But yeah, Pokémon and maybe Metroid (Switch 1 ver.) will surpass that. We'll see!

I might be one of the only of my generation to prefer CDs and avoid streaming services at all costs (I respect if you don't share the perspective, that's just my preferences). It will join my dozens of gaming soundtracks asap! Funny enought, this will be the first Mario soundtrack that I'll own (Wii Mario All-Stars CD excluded).

Which one should I choose, I love them all!!! Dark chocolat is not too sweet but tasty, milk chocolate is creamy and white chocolate is delicious and more rare. I have some time to choose, but it won't be easy!

@Nintoz Yeah, the rumored said it would be "BEE" for Switch 2, like "HAC" is for Switch 1, which made me believe strongly these pictures are legit. But we'll see!

Finished. I wrote at the end the bring the remaining mainlin titles to Switch 2. I didn't specify which ones, but I refer to FF 13 Trilogy, 15, mayyyybe 16, and of course the famous 14. Could we see, for the first time since 6, a mainline title releasig day 1 on a Nintendo console at the same time as the other platforms? Who knows, but with Square wishing for less exclusives, there's hope!

Most played are Pokémon Scarlet + Expansion Pass (104 hours), Baten Kaitos I & II Remaster (100 hours) and Splatoon 3 + Expansion Pass (87 hours).

So many choices, it's hard to choose! Emio The Smilling Man? Mario & Luigi Brothership? Tsukihime Remake? They are my masterpieces of the year, but it's hard to choose!

Planet Robobot is my favorite Kirby game, that would be the dream!!! Return to Dream Land is my 2nd favorite, so you can guess I was so hype when it got remade on Switch! It was so fun playing it on handheld for the first time, so I would be excited to play Robobot on TV with a controller in hand for the first time. Don't get me wrong Triple Deluxe fans, it's a good game, just not in my top 10 Kirby games

This is an easy reminder why Xenoblade is my favorite Nintendo franchise and in gaming overall!

It may be too early, but maybe some other remasters announcement, like Bandai Namco previously said? I don't expect it until after Graces Remaster release, but who knows!

That's the only things I needed! I'm gonna pick that sweet PHYSICAL version (either on the current Switch or the successor) when it will comes out!

@Vivianeat A trend that will unfortunately not change. One of the many reasons for me to visit Japan. They even have a Kirby Café, which seems a must to go!

After being disapointing with Ryza trilogy, Yumia feel finally something exciting! Unfortunately, it might be the first game since I discover the series in 2018 that I won't be buying day one. Xenoblade Chronicles X DE will release the day prior and it'll take 100% of my gaming time for at least a month. If you ask me what are my favorites 3 Atelier games, they are Atelier Lulua, Atelier Firis and Atelier Shallie!

@LadyCharlie I also hope for a physical version! I think Digital Eclipse said they will do it if their is demand, but considering what they did with Atari, I think it's only a matter of time!

Glad I'm not the only one! That's probably my only concern with the game, but everything else is perfect! I hope Acquire will take this feedback seriously and fix it in the next entry (yes, I want them to carry the series from now on!)

@MjJmediablogger Respectfully, I have to disagree. January is usually a weak month for Nintendo (with few exceptions). People who wanted a Switch would have buy it on Christmas, so it won't be them who will buy the next console. Like the current Switch, it'll be the hardcore gamers who will buy it first, followed by the casual gamers eventually. Beside, the Switch presentation was held in January 2017 and NES minis (who was sold during Holiday 2016) still performed well. So I don't think it will affect anything, IMO

Before last week I was so impatient to have Switch 2 news, but now that we have Xenoblade Chronicles X DE coming up, I can wait as much possible. I believe January would be the perfect month, IMO.

@Ham-n-jam Ho, I totally agree! I prefer fantasy style with deep story, but thinking about the community as a whole, X and a sequel would bring more people on board and bring more people to the numbered games after that. But only Monolith Soft know what will happen next!

Hopefully, this will translate in the sales. While I prefer fantasy focused games, I feel society prefer science fiction games. It made me believe this remaster could become one of the best selling games of the franchise. It sold around 800K units on a console that sold 13.5 millions units, so it's certain to become a million seller! While it's my least favorite Xenoblade game, I still consider it a masterpiece and hope this second chance will boost this game popularity. I just hope the text will be visible this time, it was because the text was so tiny that I never finished the original...

The games soundtracks I wish to see coming to the app eventually are the Xenoblade and Fire Emblem series. other Animal Crossing and Kirby games that are not here are also my wishes.
