I love the fact the rank at the moment isn't what you'd expect. Of course it will change, but still rather refreshing to be surprised.

I almost didn't go through the track listing as I could only remember a couple tunes, but I'm glad I did-- Yo-Yo-Yoshi!, Yoshi's Disco, Dub Master Spider, and Play It Again, Yoshi were the truth for me. Absolute fire.

I'm guessing they will play a hand in The Legend of Zelda movie considering the collaboration with Sony.

Not one of the greatest controllers, but definitely one of the most beloved. Definitely A1 when it comes to Nintendo style games or other niche type games. I still always wanted a bigger D pad, a true right analog stick, and a true ZL button, but I digress.

I wasn't crazy about non-Mario characters being in the game anyway. It was cute, but it would have forced a Nintendo Kart inevitably, which would not have been a bad thing, but it ain't Mario Kart if you don't keep it in the family. I feel the same about Smash Bros. and how they need to get back to it being mostly Nintendo characters. It's been nice branching out into other worlds but they need to reel it in. Just my two cents.

JP sells the fun, Europe does the same but excessively, and North America just has a crazed gorilla slamming congos with no other subtext (too on the nose).

Speaking of drip feed, I wonder when Nintendo will get around to some more known releases like StarTropics II, Faxandu, Wario Land 1, or Wario Land 2, or even some lesser knowns like Shatterhand or Power Blade. I'll always take obscures.

Continuing on with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-- I utterly got destroyed when I went to the floating coliseum. I will return you damn Lynels!

It will come when it comes. With DKB, MKW, and MP4 just to name a few, the hype has to die down for these before we can even talk of a next 3D Mario. Or next 3D Zelda for that matter.

The Gamecube. This was during a time when I finally FOUND friends to play with. SSB Melee and MK: Double Dash!! were our top go to's. It was on in my parents' basement every week. If it wasn't these games, then it was Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, F-Zero GX, Ultimate Muscle, WWE Day of Reckoning 1 then eventually 2, X-men Legends 1 then eventually 2-- And I know I'm missing some. Glad this article came out today-- I guess I can say my nostalgia for GCN is because I had the most fun with friends during this time in my life, and that's no rose tinted glasses take, either.

Meh, still no Mega Man news from Capcom.

I'm definitely feeling the lore sting, but I'll hold off til the credits roll for hopefully an explanation of why Pauline is young and all the "present and correct" Kongs being still the ages they are. Until then, my head canon says this is an origin story and there are multiple generation Crankys, Diddy, and Dixies 😆

I remember getting so fed up playing outside, getting the sunlight, washing out the screen to where I couldn't see it, then just breaking down and asking my mom for a UV lamp lol. Good times. Still a fun game, this and part 2. I did enjoy Lunar Knights too, actually, even though the sun sensor mechanic was dropped.

Looks like the current climate in the games industry hasn't changed. It'll probably stay that way till further notice unless there's a serious shake up.

Dilemma, dilemma... Shall I pursue the game I got so far in and never finished, or let it go. Choices, choices.

I plan to go with the case that has the least chance of my analog sticks getting caught from shifting inside the case or getting squished when the case is closed.

Back in my day we had hard NES controllers that stabbed your fingers and palms with those corners and we survived. EVERYTHING is something that can hurt you, intentionally or unintentionally. Live and learn. Watch those fingers. It'll be OK I promise...

As long as I get a firm case that does not press on my analog sticks as the case gets jostled in my bag then I'm fine with that.

I don't have a Switch 2 yet, so I'm going to shoot my shot on this question even though I kind of know the answer. Since it has a USB slot on top, can the Switch 2 actually be placed in the dock upside down?

So they're... specifically, Xbox Play Anywhere handhelds?

It only got the hate back then because Nintendo revealed a realistic looking Zelda tech demo at Spaceworld 2000 only just to reveal a cartoony version a couple years later-- It was like betrayal, what with GCN battling its kiddy image and all on top of this. Kids back then were none the wiser, which is why they cherish it so today without batting an eye, while a lot of us older folk were cranky about it. None of this had anything to do with the quality game on hand, and didn't keep me from missing it... I loved it all the same. Zelda fan for life.

I may one day yet play this game to see what all the fuss is about. I'm glad it scored well.

Two things: 1) I thought the wait for Metroid Prime 4 was killer, but this has been almost as bad for me. 2) Yacht Club Games needs to find a way to speed up their releases, for real.

Hmmm... I was just wondering how I would play Ring Fit Adventure on Switch 2 and this article helped me answer my question. I'm sure inevitably there will be a Ring Fit Adventure 2 anyway.

Ha, very Nintendo. I wonder if you hold a trigger or something, along with holding the left stick , will it make that alternate GameCube boot up sound? You know, the squeaky one with the laugh at the end?

He's not getting his hands involved as much as he used to since he's preoccupied with Nintendo's other projects. All things must change in time but he will ultimately always be known as the father of many Nintendo projects.

This 100% should have... oh wait, we said that already. This is going to be a game missed by many unfortunately. Seems like for all Nintendo put into it that they would've lined it up better for mass consumption-- It feels like a missed opportunity. When I do get my Switch 2, if this isn't the first game I get, then it's highly likely that I will pass it altogether as the march of other new games will take precedence.

... But did you guys taste the vent...?

@RasandeRose so the Dpad on the Pro Controller 2 is better than the first? I'll take all opinions.

200cc is a wacky fun extra. With the amount of terrain to cover in MKW, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it's added, just not initially.

A lot of people have been asking for this one. Hopefully this makes a lot of people happy. I'm astounded that there's that many tracks. I think the main reason there won't be any tracks next week is they want to make sure all the focus is on the Switch 2 as much as possible.

If I happen across this, and I feel like throwing coins at it, I'll bite, but it's currently low in my list.

Even though I won't be getting Switch 2 right away, hopefully by the time I do, they will add even more GCN games. Truth is, I've played all the games I wanted to play except for Skies of Arcadia Legends. It's a slim chance, but maybe Sega will find it in their hearts to allow it to appear.
