@dudujencarelli I definitely agree that post SNES the X series got worse. That's why I hope an X9 can return to basics similar to how MM9 did at the time for the original series. Guess it all comes down to the direction.
I beat The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom this weekend, so that's done. I was gonna dabble with Rocket League and probably finish Karateka the game, then play the remaster at a later time.
The castle on a bland background seemed lazy for a Mega Man cover to me, so I always hated MM6's box art 😆 I prefer the intended artwork any day over interpretations, so JP ftw today.
I'll take it. So no more series numbering huh? Is Mega Man:DO short for dozen? I'm just glad Capcom is still showing the series love. Just wish we could get MMX9 or MML3 still.
Huh... I hadn't realized it was for Switch 1 as well. Not really a big deal-- Method to play is the next thing I gotta figure out. I'm poised to drop a G investing in NS2 next year...
Sigh... I remember when I was that kid myself. I stared 6 Switch 2's in the face at a local Target recently, helpless to do anything as my wallet has been decimated this year, and not because of gaming. When Switch 2 dropped this past June, I already resolved to circle back on it June 2026. Being a life gamer only gets tougher with age, and in my household, I'm the only gamer, so no one "gets it". I'll manage it until my dying day, that's all I know.
Continuing with The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Just rescued the king, so it's time tour greater Hyrule now. Finished up the documentary portion of Karateka, so I'll leave playing the games for another day. I beat the Over the Horizon portion of the Over the Horizon x Steel Empire game.
Crazy the highs of Shovel Knight and the era that followed... and with only their sophomore effort, they're reduced to this. Damn, nothing's promised. I'm pulling for you Yacht Club, and I'm looking forward to Mina the Hollower. Just... don't keep it at release date 2030 please.
I love these comments. Secret of Evermore mentions, Mana fans missing opportunities to play LoM. On the former, it's criminal it's locked in SE jail since the defunct Square USA developed it, so we we'll likely never see it outside of emulation. On LoM, I myself had just come off the glory train that was Secret of Mana, so when I knew there was a follow-up I was very hyped, but I didn't have a PlayStation and wasn't likely to have one soon in those days. The worst part is though I have yet to play it, I've heard that it's a divisive entry, so I constantly stay on the fence about giving it a shot or not. I don't know if I'll ever play LoM...
I'm continuing through The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. So nice to play a 2D Zelda again; Lots of fun. I just scooped Over the Horizon X Steel Empire for my retro weekend fix... I felt like playing some old school shmup action. I may get in some more Karateka if time permits.
PiT was fun, if not sometimes tedious for me with the 4 character, 1 button each setup for fights, but I loved it. And the surprise about the Koopalings being in it? Loved it too. Decent music as well. I honestly didn't know it got flak, but mileage varies, I guess.
Picross honestly is my favorite of all the puzzle games I've ever played in my lifetime. I first started with Mario Picross on Game Boy and completed that, and I'm slowly working my way through Mario's Super Picross on NSO. If I ever finish that, I'll join in on Jupiter's work play some of their games, maybe even one of these crossovers.
I inadvertently became a fan of R-Type by playing Super R-Type from my local Blockbuster for SNES back in the day. I've dabbled on and off with the series, got a chance to realize just how hard it can get, and even took a stab at Final until I got locked in a stage that I could not get out of so bad that I had to just put the game down. Yet, I love the gameplay mechanism of R-Type, so I will give Delta a shot when I can since I've heard lots of good things about it.
I'm just here to say that it hasn't begun in NA yet, perhaps starting tomorrow? But this gives me hope for a lot of games having a hard sale real soon. I don't know if my wallet is ready, but I am 😂
Activision would be amazing and I'd be all over it. This collection is amazing too, though. Probably one of the most impossible deep cuts I'd love to see would be Donkey Kong for Atari, but I'm sure Nintendo wouldn't budge on that.
I don't have a Switch 2 yet, but this is one thing of note that I need to keep in mind. My grand plan is to give my Switch 1 to my mom but I need to make sure that all of the remaining games that I still wanted to play are compatible on Switch 2.

Oh yes, this one's worth it. Good drop.

Re: Higround Launches Sonic & Dreamcast Keyboards, And They're Stunning
Ouch that price, but damn they look nice.

Damn, what a trailer. Got my interest.
Re: Video: Here's Your First Look At The Street Fighter Live-Action Movie, Due Out 2026
I'll end up seeing this one way or another, but I couldn't get with the trailer. Maybe a future trailer will help.

Re: R-Type Dimensions III Blasts Its Way Onto Switch Consoles Next May
Ah ok... so first and foremost R-Type III. Did I play this? Ugh, I can't remember. I like R-Type, I just wish I kept up with the series better.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's N64 Library With Two Classic Platformers
Some more curios for me to dabble with. Like all games in NSO, I'll give them a go.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's N64 Library With Two Classic Platformers
@Mattock1987 Like, really though. I thought this was a shoo-in ever since Sin & Punishment launched day 1. Still waiting.

Re: Review: Simogo Legacy Collection - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Nothing Less Than Essential
Good to know this exists. I loved Year Walk particularly-- So haunting, and I played it at the end of the year in the dark just for ambiance.

Re: Surprise! Another Square Enix Switch Game Is Now Compatible On Switch 2
Oh well too late, I already played and beat that recently, but glad they gave it some TLC nonetheless.
Re: "I'll Get In Trouble" - Yuji Horii "Can't Talk About" Future Chrono Trigger Developments
I'd still take the long lost Chrono Break if that's what's in the works. Otherwise, I feel they might go for an HD 2D look of CT.

So maybe a Shadow spinoff? Knuckles Chaotix? Tails Adventure?

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Bionic Commando (NES)
I agree about NA having the classic comic book look, and it's still a fav. I voted for JP because it went hard, like ALL the way in.

Re: Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection Has Been Rated For Switch
It's likely been said already but, Mega Man Legends Collection is what I want to see next.
Re: Star Fox Programmer's Next Game May As Well Be A New Entry In Nintendo's Series
StarFox seems to be in limbo anyway, so I'm fine with a StarFox-alike by one of the original programmers. It looks REAL nice.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's NES And Game Boy Library With Four More Titles
Nice lineup. Since it took them this long to release NGII, that means StarTropics 2: Zoda's Revenge is right around the corner, right...?
Re: Beyond Good & Evil 2 Job Listing Shows There's Signs Of Life In The Old Hog Yet
Still vaporware until further notice.
Re: Ongoing MicroSD Shortages Could Have A Knock-On Effect For Switch 2 Storage Availability
This is more my goal than getting a Switch 2. I shouldn't be surprised about this news, but... 😮💨
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd November)
I'll continue on with Karateka and chip away some more at Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Those guys went MIA from the news... I wondered what they've gotten up to lately.
Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade's File Size On Switch 2 Is Making Us Sweat
This reminds me of the days where I had several memory cards for GCN-- I guess those days are back. I don't like it, but...

Re: Official Zelda Movie Photos Give Us Our Best Look Yet At Link And Zelda
I'm impressed, they fit their characters even better than I thought they would.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (15th November)
I beat Chrono Cross last weekend, so this week I'm just trudging slowly through Pokemon Legends Arceus and getting formally into Karateka.
Re: Video: Nintendo Just Dropped Its Best (Worst?) Song Since DK Rap
To quote Charlie Brown, "ARRRRGH!"
Re: ICYMI: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Teases Rosalina And Bowser Jr. Scenes, Here's A First Look
Junior is so confusing to me visually and aurally.

Re: It's Official, Red Dead Redemption Is Coming To Switch 2 This December
Guess its official-- The Switch 2 prints money. Seems no 3rd party can resist, even those that resisted Switch 1.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 System Update 21.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Seems like this update was more for Switch 2 even though Switch 1 updated as well.
Re: PSA: Don't Forget To Update Your Switch 2 Pro Controller
So you can update the Switch 2 Pro Controller over air? Good to know compared to the Switch 1 Pro Controller that needed the cable.
Re: Kirby Air Riders Looks To Be Powered By Bandai Namco's New In-House Engine
SOL-AVES seems so close to Solvalou in my mind... Coincidence?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Dragon Power (NES)
Key art will always win for me, so even though NA is endearingly cheesy, JP takes it for me. Europe is ok but too busy for me.
