Re: Talking Point: Metroid Prime 4 And The Burden Of Being 'Good Enough'

Mariotag

To me, the game has an identity crisis.
Haven't finished yet, but I've yet to reach a point where I get meaningful branching paths at all, like any other metroidvania, or any other numbered Metroid game, Prime or not.
It makes the open world desert feel like a "We forgot to give you exploration, so here".
The controls are also a point of contention for me. Twinstick is too slow. Motion controls would be nice, if you could actually use them normally. And strafe was removed from the list of things you could do not in the presence of something to lock onto.

@foursider
I have no sympathy for their CEO. The local once a store employees have consistently commented on how poorly they are treated toward being allowed to do their job for little reward, they are always at risk of demotion if they do not meet a sales quota.
Same CEO has a busted af online system that will cancel your order at a moment's notice, doesn't care about customers, will sweep your story under the rug.

My store had plenty of games. I'm honestly shaken. There's basically nothing else here for casual entertainment.

Sooooo, my local store I've frequented for 15+ years, gotten to know multiple generations of employees of, the community involved, my preferred game store that does not hesitate to rag on "corporate" and their decisions, closed down because one man wanted to get a bit richer?

I hate GS corporate as is, but this makes me despise one dude all the more. As the one in store person put it, they hired Reggie, then refused to listen to him, so he left...

Re: The Game Awards GOTY For 2025 Is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Welp, at least Genshin didn't win GOTY yet again. :/

MKW I'm unsure of if it deserves the win over Sonic. They're relatively close, but I lack experience, so just an imo.

Silksong deserved something.

I've yet to play E33. Hoping this can help change the games market for the better.

Re: Feature: The Tightest, Briskest Mario & Luigi Game Turns 20 Today And Deserves More Love

Didn't know there were softlocks.

Anyway, I really appreciate this game.

I sorta feel Broship s a different enough style to be its own thing, and that both 3ds games went the collectible/perfectionist route, so this is still in the top three for me.
The darker tone was impressive. The whole Yoob chapter, coupled with an article gave me an impression on Yoshis that I won't soon forget.
