I would absolutely go for them. I'd want the 3d though. One regret I've had for a while is, apparently, I was offered a VB for $14. I don't actually remember saying no, but it seems that's the answer that got through.
@johnvboy I'm not necessarily thinking about the immediate prior games. Like in the case of Super Mario Party. It's definitely a step up from some of the more recent Mario Party games, but imo it pales in comparison to early titles in the series, if only due to the scale of the game. And, Paper Mario: The Origami King, I have yet to play it. I've heard good things about it, as well as some complaints. But I'd not see it holding its ground with the first three Paper Mario games. Yet because it sold a lot on switch, it's considered the "best".
@ImBackBB Haha, it's not dying. If anything, its success is overwhelming. And I mean that in both a good and bad way. Anything that releases on switch seems to instantly become the most successful in the franchise it's from. I don't think a lot of these games deserve that extreme of success, because it takes away from what the previous "best" entries did that were amazing. Basically okaying a potential step down.
Huh. Neat! Way back when, I had wanted to use a Snap Station to print stuff from Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2. Unfortunately, we live in the middle of nowhere, and the chain that had the kiosks shut them down before I ever got to see one.
Honestly, I don't remember who the staff were back when I was active on the site in say, 2012, but that is indeed a familiar name. Congrats on your return @ThomasBW84!
Wow. This brings back memories. I've definitely seen video footage from that SMG demo. Iirc, there were three paths, the others ending with Megaleg, and King Kalimari. I think it was official footage way back then. I can't be bothered to see the rest rn though.
I probably won't play any of these new things. My Minecraft is apparently no longer compatible with my laptop. And if I wanted to rebuy the game, there's that new snooping/permaban policy they have.
I'm deliberately waiting for the price to go down. Also, Sakurai has a really nice setup! I wonder what it'd take to get my setup that easily accessible.
Wasn't expecting this. At least I can still play courses others have uploaded. I enjoyed SMM1 far more than I did 2. I've yet to make a course on switch.
I remember when I only knew Virtual Console Reviews way back when. I don't check as often as I used to back then, but I do still come by. And I absolutely wonder where the staff from back then moved on to. Happy 15 years NintendoLife!
@rjejr Aww. True points there. I'm pretty much in the middle of nowhere, so it's never convenient to just pop over to a store. Gaming stores are a dying breed out here. Only one I'm sure of is Gamestop. Anyway, there might still be a chance for TRU. Just depends on if there's a reason to be near one.
@Darknyht Yeah. I feel like they're running off of pride.
@rjejr Were the majority of the games discounted that much? I wasn't quite early to the TRU closing stuff. Wondering if I should go a bit further to possibly get a deal.

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Receives Its Second Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Meanwhile, I'm comparing this to the original HW expension pass, which was the same price, but included a lot of content.
Re: Best Miitopia Miis - Access Keys For Zelda, Mario, Sonic And More
So, uh, is it worth getting the demo just to see these designs?
Re: Talking Point: If Nintendo Released Them, Would You Play Virtual Boy Games In 2021?
I would absolutely go for them. I'd want the 3d though.
One regret I've had for a while is, apparently, I was offered a VB for $14. I don't actually remember saying no, but it seems that's the answer that got through.
Re: Random: Did You Know The Wii U Can Burn eShop Games To Discs?
Ppl be talking like you can lose everything you bought?
Also, this is neat, but kinda not as useful as I'd thought it would be.
Re: Sonic's Second Movie Wraps Up Production In Vancouver, Canada
I'm surprised everyone didn't just assume it was Mushroom Hill to begin with. Probably with a twist, like Green Hill.

Re: Mother 3's Fan Translation Patch Has Been Updated
I do want an official release, but as it's unlikely anytime soon, I may have to get an unofficially translated cart.
Re: Lawson Will Offer New Pokémon Snap Photo Printing Services In Japan
Huh. Neat!

Re: Introducing Second Wind, A "Free Large-Scale DLC" Expansion Mod For Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
I would actually like this. Problem is, it's a mod. :/
I don't really wanna mod my main systems. I'd rather buy a spare system to mod.
Re: Indie Dev Shares 'The Last Levels', 36 Super Mario Maker Courses To Play Before Servers Are Shut Down
I thought any levels already uploaded on SMM would still be playable after the shutdown. Am I wrong?
Re: Rare's Cancelled N64 Project Dinosaur Planet Originally Starred The "Cute Tiger" From Diddy Kong Racing
I always wondered what happened to the cast of characters from DKR. Maybe someday we'll get to see something.
Re: Random: Twitter Has Completed Its Playthrough Of Pokémon Red Inside Someone's Avatar
Ah. Makes sense.
I barely remember Gen 1. It was so long ago.
I do remember you had to save every time you switched PC boxes though.
Re: Random: Twitter Has Completed Its Playthrough Of Pokémon Red Inside Someone's Avatar
Dare I ask what the final team was?
Certainly impressive.
And, why was "release" even a feature to begin with?
Re: This Week's Super Mario Bros. 35 Event Serves Up A Course-Limited Special Battle
So, to unlock Luigi, you need to clear each stage at least once?
The later ones virtually never show for me.
Re: Random: Fan Reimagines Pokémon Sword And Shield As Game Boy Games
This could be DLC.
I wasn't able to sit through the whole video, but this definitely makes me miss the older games.

Re: Nintendo Is "Replacing Its Multiplayer Server System" Dating Back To The Wii U And 3DS Era
So, basically, we're losing Wii U and 3ds online soon?
Re: Random: Twitter Just Defeated The Water-Type Gym Leader Misty In Pokémon Red
Impressive talk on corporate rights.
And really neat idea to play Pokemon Red in Twitter.
And, I'm not really sure which information is fake anymore.

Re: Anniversary: Pokémon Stadium 2 Launched 20 Years Ago Today In Japan
Honestly, I feel old reading this. I was maybe 8 when it came out, and I remember being so hyped. I still need to finish it though.
Re: Video: 11 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In December
Fire Emblem here.
I am curious how comprehensive the SaGa collection is.
How many of the games are in it?

Re: Sega Reveals Never-Before-Seen Concept Art For The Sonic Adventure Games And Sonic Heroes
This is seriously neat! I wonder what the games would have been like if they kept this beta design stuff. Free-flying the Tornado?

Re: Random: Crash Bandicoot 4 Dev Has A Cult Classic N64 Game On The Brain
Ohh, I remember this game.
I still have my copy. Only beaten it a couple times though.
Re: Poll: Have You Won A Game Of Super Mario Bros. 35?
Two consecutive wins.
I still get thrown off by the physics.
Re: Video: Here's How Crazy Super Mario Bros. 35 Becomes When Played At Its Highest Level
This is horrifying.
I'm glad I got my two 1st place wins how I did.
Re: We Almost Got A Pokémon MMO Back In 2005
Ahh. A real shame.
Yeah, one of the current era things I worry about is how everything's trying to be online.
Re: We Almost Got A Pokémon MMO Back In 2005
@nessisonett Curious, what was the fan MMO?
I'm generally on the lookout for good fangames.
Re: Random: One Metroid Fan Has Fixed Other M For All Time
Honestly, Other M was just over the top.
I didn't really have much of a problem with it.
Re: Video: A Look At The Aliens, Dinosaurs And More That Were Cut From Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Honestly, this article explains the feelings of emptiness I had when playing the game.
I'm hoping the potential sequel has some of this.
Re: "The Virtual Console successor is Nintendo Switch Online" Says Reggie
Seriously? This isn't gonna work. Like, at all.
At the least, the existing catalogue should be made totally available.

Re: Grab Yourself A Bargain In The Big Nintendo E3 2018 Sale
@rjejr Just to be sure, TRU is Toys R Us, right?
I'd love to get SF0 for $5 tbh.And maybe some amiibo.
If that's the kind of discounts going around.
Problem is, nearest store is an hour away. About $45 travel expenses maybe.

Re: Grab Yourself A Bargain In The Big Nintendo E3 2018 Sale
Unfortunately, yeah.
My first time seeing it though.
Re: Guide: Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition - How To Unlock Zelda, Link, And All Other Characters
Interesting. I see you don't have to unlock the main story cast this time.
Re: Freedom Planet Is Officially Coming To Nintendo Switch This Autumn
Yet another game I have on Wii U being ported.
Honestly frustrating for me. Cause I'm pretty sure the DLC won't ever have a Wii U release.
Re: Guide: Nintendo E3 2018 Press Conference Schedule, Rumours, Hopes, And Dreams
Random hopes for new Golden Sun and new Chrono.
Re: Zelda Fans Can Finally Welcome True Form Midna Into Their Homes, Thanks To First 4 Figures
This looks great!
Sadly, it's out of my price range entirely.
Re: Toys R Us Is Preparing To Liquidate Its U.S. Business, Reports Claim
This is a sad farewell indeed.
I never really had much of an experience with the stores, but it's only too apparent that it was a staple.
Re: Gallery: The North American SNES Classic Mini Is Boxy, But Good
As an original SNES owner, I'm more impressed by the games in the pictures. 0_0
Re: Editorial: Farewell to the Flawed Miiverse, But Thanks for the Memories
Certainly, the community was the best part.
The people made MV what is was both good and bad IMO.
I didn't pick it up until late, but I'm glad I did.
As for Wii U Chat, it was an option at least.
Re: Meet The Mario Maker Player Nintendo Wants To Ban For Keeping The Game Alive
Well, glitches can be awkward, sure.
But they bring the hammer down too easily.
Plus, I've gotten the impression that they're trying to more or less erase Wii U.
Re: Fan-Made Zelda Title Breath Of The NES Gets Hit With Inevitable Takedown Notice

What Youtube practices?
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Will Require a 3GB Install on Wii U
I'm probably screwed by this. Gotta check storage space remaining.
