Really interesting rankings. I appreciate that the switch games are at the bottom. So much more could be done with the games at the point we're at now. Also, Diamond&Pearl might make me a girl? 0-0'
Huh. Really interesting. I missed out on the hotline days, but I have heard about them. Wondered what it'd be like. And yeah. 100 NES games in a month sounds like it'd be torture. To a degree. But it'd make sense if they were all working together, and they had to complete them as a collective.
Well, I'd go with the energy theory, if I decided not to be boring and vote. Funnily enough, Metroid Prime actually give some detail on space pirates trying to replicate her morph ball, with predictable results.
I'm impressed it's that bad. Game development really does seem to be going downhill now compared to what they used to accomplish, given hardware restrictions.
@AnnoyingFrenzy Oh, absolutely Emperor Ing! I actually ran out of ammo a couple times. I also sometimes suffered against Quadraxis, and I forget the boss of the bog.
I still carry my 3ds with me everywhere, hoping for some. But mostly, I just get steps for the step counter. I never had much luck with streetpass outside comicon and other events. Kinda goes with living in the middle of nowhere.
I remember this chapter. It's been a while. Yeah, Nintendo had it right closer to the start. While I can understand them wanting different styles to keep the series from getting stale, limitations like what they have shouldn't be for the rest of the series.
@Lone_Beagle I still need to learn how to dump the discs then. @Jokerwolf That's been sorta my justification for playing mods and stuff up till now. I just don't wanna go too far.
Well, I just tried downloading stuff first time since the update. It's stuck. I've tried changing the DNS, clearing the cache, and powering off and on again. Any other suggestions?
@SortingHat Eh, I never even heard of that game. Which era was it? And, I think switch can be differentiated from an oversized 3ds. 3ds had more original games for it, though I will note a lot of the sequels weren't quite as good.
@SortingHat Ohh boy don't I know it. I felt Wii era had unbalanced difficulty. That was when I first had an issue with Nintendo's games. This whole switch era, with the exceptions of a few key games, has felt really shoddily put together. It's pretty much riding the coattails of Wii U and 3DS, only, because of the attention they're giving it, it's become their definitive console in a way. Most of the big name games are ports, or sequels that aren't completely their own thing, (Splatoon 2), or, they feel like mobile games in terms of bulk. Not quite AS bad as mobile games, but certainly far too compact. And ofc, because the games are releasing on switch, they're the best recognized games in the respective series. It's infuriating. And that's even before getting to joycon issues, NSO, and some of the limited time marketing strategies, though I will admit, if FE 2-6 came out of Japan with that strategy, I'd likely buy them.
@ModdedInkling I see your point. I played the original from pretty close to day 1 though, and got the dlc well before the 3ds version was announced. Only to have similar happen when I eventually caved and got the 3ds version. :/ Though, as someone who's played both, the original version of the DLC is absolutely harder.
@ModdedInkling Yeah, I was thinking more that the original HW got 4 new major expansions from the one dlc at $20, while AoC only gets like, 2. The games themselves are different on some levels, but I still look to see what worth I'm getting for my money. And, as luck would have it, I just finished P5 Strikers. I still don't know the new ending of royal, except, I think it's optional?
I would absolutely go for them. I'd want the 3d though. One regret I've had for a while is, apparently, I was offered a VB for $14. I don't actually remember saying no, but it seems that's the answer that got through.
@johnvboy I'm not necessarily thinking about the immediate prior games. Like in the case of Super Mario Party. It's definitely a step up from some of the more recent Mario Party games, but imo it pales in comparison to early titles in the series, if only due to the scale of the game. And, Paper Mario: The Origami King, I have yet to play it. I've heard good things about it, as well as some complaints. But I'd not see it holding its ground with the first three Paper Mario games. Yet because it sold a lot on switch, it's considered the "best".
@ImBackBB Haha, it's not dying. If anything, its success is overwhelming. And I mean that in both a good and bad way. Anything that releases on switch seems to instantly become the most successful in the franchise it's from. I don't think a lot of these games deserve that extreme of success, because it takes away from what the previous "best" entries did that were amazing. Basically okaying a potential step down.
Huh. Neat! Way back when, I had wanted to use a Snap Station to print stuff from Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2. Unfortunately, we live in the middle of nowhere, and the chain that had the kiosks shut them down before I ever got to see one.
Honestly, I don't remember who the staff were back when I was active on the site in say, 2012, but that is indeed a familiar name. Congrats on your return @ThomasBW84!

Re: Review: Cotton Fantasy - A Joyful, Mischievous, And Incredibly Varied Shmup
My question is, is this game fully translated, unlike the earlier Cotton games?
Re: Editorial: Happy New Year From Everyone At Nintendo Life
So, uh, just a note, but you do realize in filming Back to the Future part 2, they used actual hoverboards that were banned, right?
Re: Editorial: Merry Christmas And Happy Holidays From Nintendo Life
The codes site doesn't appear to use the same login?
Well, I would go for it, but, seems like a poor idea rn.
Merry Christmas!
Re: Video: Boundary Break Takes Another Look At The "Out Of Bounds Secrets" In Wii Sports
@Yosher Ah. Sounds about right.
Tbh I've been curious about your OC/persona for a while.
Re: Video: Boundary Break Takes Another Look At The "Out Of Bounds Secrets" In Wii Sports
@Yosher Would that be your Yoshi persona you were gonna make? Can't help but be curious about it.

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Calls For Industry-Wide Support Of Game Preservation Via Emulation
Yeah. I see no Sonic 06 added.
I'm probably the rare person who'd want that. Also the original Halo saga. Most of my Xbox games aren't supported.
Re: Feature: Where Does Competitive Pokémon Go From Here?
@redpanda0310
This is so glaring.
I agree.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Dada Zarude And Shiny Celebi Distribution Is Rolling Out Right Now
@JellyPop
It's a bit frustrating as I don't recall my login info.
I definitely had an account though.
They really need to get their act together.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Dada Zarude And Shiny Celebi Distribution Is Rolling Out Right Now
I haven't gotten their newsletter in years.
I dunno why, cause I have had it checked and everything.
Re: Introducing Super Mario Eclipse - A New Super Mario Sunshine Mod Featuring An Expanded Story And Much More
Why do they release demos this early??
It's basically begging to get itself torn down.

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Had A Core Dev Team Of Four, Surprisingly
Agreed.
I did have some trouble at first, as I didn't know the boost ball had been upgraded so it can attack.
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Had A Core Dev Team Of Four, Surprisingly
@AnnoyingFrenzy
Oh, absolutely Emperor Ing! I actually ran out of ammo a couple times.
I also sometimes suffered against Quadraxis, and I forget the boss of the bog.
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy Had A Core Dev Team Of Four, Surprisingly
I never actually had trouble with Spider Guardian on either version.
Only Boost Guardian.
But the bosses in general were harder in MP2.
Am I the odd one out?
Re: Tales Of Monsterland Is Yet Another New Game Boy Game, And It's Getting A Fancy Limited Edition
This looks neat honestly.
Hopefully it isn't too short a game.
Re: The Fan-Made 2D Metroid Prime Game Has Been Forced To Shut Down
This looks really neat! It's a shame it got a C&D, though not too surprising.
Re: Feature: Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix, Or That Time Mario Got Movin’ To Mozart
I really enjoyed this game.
I'd love to set it up again. Never enough room to do so however.
I don't know if the dance pads still work or not. :/

@Pokester99 IKR?
I never got hit by any LoZ softlocks, but I'm definitely afraid of them.
It's amazing.

Only two games I don't have the plot mostly remembered for are Hunters, (Idk if First Hunt counts), and Federation Force, which I haven't played.

Eh. I dunno when I'd be looking.
Thanks though!
Re: The Original Nexomon Game Is Coming Soon To Nintendo Switch
I thought it was gonna be an old flash based game remaster.
I barely recognize the name.
Re: 'The Lost Records' Is A New Fan-Made Expansion That Brings Skyward Sword To Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
@SortingHat Perhaps so.
I'm just awkward.

@Jokerwolf That's been sorta my justification for playing mods and stuff up till now. I just don't wanna go too far.
Re: 'The Lost Records' Is A New Fan-Made Expansion That Brings Skyward Sword To Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Heh. If there were a way to play stuff like this without having to mess with the game, system, or piracy, it'd be great.
Re: Bahamut Lagoon
I'd honestly never heard of this until now.
Worth giving it a go if the chance arises?

Mario Party for N64 was my life at one point.
I want it done justice. Not a half measure.
What's this about datamined SMP DLC?
Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure
Human ghost girl thing?
Anyway, I'm excited!
Btw, agreed more or less on switch vs Wii U.

Meanwhile, I'm comparing this to the original HW expension pass, which was the same price, but included a lot of content.
Re: Best Miitopia Miis - Access Keys For Zelda, Mario, Sonic And More
So, uh, is it worth getting the demo just to see these designs?
Re: Talking Point: If Nintendo Released Them, Would You Play Virtual Boy Games In 2021?
I would absolutely go for them. I'd want the 3d though.
One regret I've had for a while is, apparently, I was offered a VB for $14. I don't actually remember saying no, but it seems that's the answer that got through.
Re: Random: Did You Know The Wii U Can Burn eShop Games To Discs?
Ppl be talking like you can lose everything you bought?
Also, this is neat, but kinda not as useful as I'd thought it would be.

Re: Introducing Second Wind, A "Free Large-Scale DLC" Expansion Mod For Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
I would actually like this. Problem is, it's a mod. :/
I don't really wanna mod my main systems. I'd rather buy a spare system to mod.
