@UltimateOtaku91 The visuals are totally fine lol. I don't know why people expected Square Enix to release an Dragon Quest game with the same budget as the main series. At the end of the day it's leagues better than Scarlet and Violet which alone is still better.

It's kinda odd that not a single website has reviewed this game yet especially when just about every other game gets reviews even if bad.

It's not really that surprising tbh, not many people have nostalgia for this game and it's not something that you have to rush and buy immediately. It's doesn't help that just about every month is one Mario game after another and I feel like people are already burnt out with just two games.

It's pretty odd that we haven't gotten any new information on what Nintendo game Bandai Namco was working on remastering/remaking for them back when the job postings came out.

@EaglyBird Intelligent System are the ones that does the Fire Emblem series not Bandai Namco.

I really hope Nintendo has something big at the Game Awards because we need more than just Mario games.

Yeah, this game looks so hideous that is quite laughable at times because of how bad it is. Pokémon Company proves once again that they don't care about the quality of their games or fanbase. It's 2023 and we're still making PS2 looking games.

The main problem is Square Enix was calling this an Action RPG game when it's mostly an Action/hack and slash/ brawler arena game. Square does the same thing with Final Fantasy where they'll call it RPG even though it's more action focused.

@Stamina_Wheel His involvement with the writing for the story of the game really didn't help much as it wasn't up to the same level of storytelling as the previous two games.

Yeah, this might actually be good news for Platinum and Bayonetta fans with how disappointing the third game was. I overall wish him the best of luck with future games just hope it's less drama and better roll out compared to Bayonetta 3.

This Direct really showed that Nintendo has ran out of new first party titles and is selling old games until whenever the next system comes out. How is Princess Peach: Showtime the only new major title in that whole presentation lmao?

It was one of those directs that you watched but by tomorrow you'll completely forget most of what you saw. It was pretty much another Mario focused direct that lacked variety in big title announcements.

@emhardesty Yeah, was surprised that Dai didn't get any mention in this article. I understand that the game is digital but you can buy an physical copy of the game on Playasia with English option.

Whatever happened to that Nintendo game that was supposed to be getting remastered/remake by Bandai Namco? Feels like we haven't gotten any update on what that game was or whether or not it's still being worked on.

@Lizuka It's quite sad that you people have come to accept mediocre content instead of trying to push for something better. If you think technical and graphical messiness is fun than I truly feel bad for you because you can get something of better quality.

They'll do all these updates with Home but don't provide updates for SV that needs the support more.

Yeah, Pokemon Company needs to start teasing some patches for this game because ain't no way I'm wasting anymore money on this garbage franchise.

Fire Emblem Engage being in the second spot is quite surprising but then again the series is most popular in Japan. It will be very interesting to see whether or not we get another Fire Emblem Echoes game before the next system.

It's quite disappointing that Yo Kai Watch never managed to find the same level of success in the western market like Japan has. I always thought this franchise was like the better version of modern day Pokemon and really looked leagues better too.

Yeah, I really hope September has something better to offer because that Nintendo Direct was pretty disappointing. I'm at the point now where I just want to see something different like F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Star Fox or even Donkey Kong because I'm really getting tired of Nintendo and the same franchises every Direct.

Come on Nintendo, announce some actual games instead of things that nobody asked for.

Man, I really wished Square would release an physical version of this game instead of just digital only. I'm really loving the art style and the game looks even more cleaner compared to the previous footage we saw of this game.

@Waluigi451 Yeah, Fire Emblem Engage & Three Houses should of been added to the list especially with how much content the DLC had for those two games.

This whole game is just one big mistake that continues to make even more mistakes lol.

Tbh, it looks far more interesting than any Pokemon game released in the last 10 years. Gamefreak won't have to worry about them rushing this game out for it's deadline unlike Pokemon Company with their games.

After playing Fire Emblem Engage I wish Nintendo would release some of the older titles on Switch for those that missed out on the previous titles. Roy, Sigurd and Leif have been so important to the franchise for years and we still have no localization for their games.

Honestly, I hope we get that Genealogy of the Holy War Remake because Engage felt so lackluster in story and was too cheesy.

@JohnnyMind People will always demand Nintendo to bring back some forgotten series and then when it finally happens they don't support it. It would be nice to see some of these forgotten franchises receive new entries.

For everyone that complained about Nintendo showing more love to Fire Emblem than Advance Wars better go out and support this game. You guys wanted the series to return so badly so go out and show some love to people that worked to bring this franchise back.

I like his performance as Chrom in Fire Emblem Awakening and Yusuke in Persona 5 so I think he will do great as Ganondorf.

People will end up jumping to conclusions that Miyamoto is hinting at some brand new 3D Mario game for the Switch when it could just be him talking about the future of the series. I'm not expecting for Nintendo to release another 3D Mario game until the next system but they'll probably continue to release more games like Mario Baseball or some 2D game for the Switch.

It was 10 minutes of just basically showing everything that you experienced in BOTW but with some new elements. I think the main issue is that we need to know more about the story of the game but Nintendo is just more interested in showing us nothing special. You're pricing this game at $70 which should be even more of a reason to show us why it deserves that price but instead it's okay let's show them more of what feels like DLC for BOTW.

Nintendo already has plenty of amazing GameCube games that needs HD Switch releases or some type of remaster. I mean you guys already have Ultimate why would this be anything worth an port?

Yeah, I'm sorry but for an game like this to be price at $70 that looks like DLC for BOTW is kinda asking for too much. The graphics and visuals pretty much look no different from BOTW which is also an disappointment considering that every new release looks so much better than this game.

One thing we know for certain is that the DLC will run as horribly bad as the base game.

Pokemon is such an embarrassment of a franchise now. I'm really glad I didn't waste time buying the expansion for this mess game.

@Torakaka Seems like Nintendo might have another FE game for the year or probably trying to hurry up before the next system comes out next year or something.

@Korsica_Is_Best_Girl I highly doubt Engage underperformed in sales. With TOTK coming out in May along with SF6, FF16 and possibly Xenoblade DLC in June I feel like their trying to not to have so much going on in with those two months.

@adh56 Bro, I live in Buffalo and couldn't find any copy in GameStop or anywhere else except for digital copies.

I feel the biggest issue with this game so far is that Nintendo isn't really showing us anything to feel excited about or what separates itself from BOTW.

Unfortunately, these sales just gives Game Freak even more of an reason to not put any effort in their games. I really wish people would stop supporting games like this with no effort put into them and just buy better games with time and money poured into them.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo had another Fire Emblem Echoes game in development which would be cool. We kinda reached the point now with the Switch where it's time for Metroid, Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong, Star Fox or F-Zero to make some comeback. The Switch entire lifespan has pretty much focused on the same franchises that we pretty much seen since the beginning and now it's nothing left for them to focus on other than franchises that haven't gotten much love.

I also feel like people are confused when the sales are based on physical copies sold. Fire Emblem Engage is still #1 on the EShop which seems like the digital side is having the most impact for the game. Digital purchases have started to become even more popular today with games finding better numbers in digital markets.

Tbh, strategy games have always had a rough time reaching audiences in gaming so not surprised. I just hope Engage continues to do well at least.

@Arawn93 These are the physical sales for the game which we still don't have the numbers for the digital sales. With gamers going for digital copies these days I think most of the sales could be there.
