Ah the Miiverse was so cool, seeing everyone flood the plaza upon booting up the console was awesome. Booting up the Switch in comparison feels like buying a game from a guy in a back alley.
I do miss e3 though, the buzz was always fun. Being spoken to like a kindergarten student on a Direct or State Of Play just isn't the same to me.

2017 gave me such a hope for future Switch titles. Odyssey & BOTW had me thinking that Nintendo were going back to making the grand single player adventures I really loved from them, almost giving the vibe of their crazy experimental Gamecube days. But with the exception of Luigi's Mansion 3 & the wonderful Bowser's Fury, everything else has just felt like a side dish, low effort, or the same old same old. I wish they'd aim a little higher in the future, make the big epic adventure games we know they can.
But that's just me😁

Do the picks break after you pick up 2 jellies with them?

I've started Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope. Which is alright, but not really grabbing me like the first game.
Also, adding voices to the characters was a terrible idea Especially considering the Rabbids just go back to their "wah!!" sounds in the cutscenes anyway!

My personal reason for boycotting this game is that it looks like crap compared to the other 2 Bayonetta titles🧐

Double Dash was such a disappointment to me, even playing when it was new. The tracks felt like weaker versions of tracks from MK64 (Wario Stadium destroys Waluigi Stadium for example), and the AI racers spam items like crazy, & the 2 characters per cart was & still is a terrible gimmick.
I've actually been playing it over the weekend, along with Twilight Princess.

Screw the narrative, what's with Sonic's giant, long hands?!! Is this part of the lore?

I'll be playing through arguably the greatest 2D platformer of all time: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. What a game

Such a mediocre game, even compared to the older Lego titles. You'd have a much better experience watching the movies at 16X speed, and building any random lego set as you watched. Best lego game in years! Ha!

Hopefully next time Nintendo release a console they give it specs so that everyone can bring their vision to life, and not just Nintendo themselves.
Then again, this has been the case since the N64....

Man, I remember banging on about this in the comments here around 5 years ago. I eventually stopped because I figured people were sick of hearing it!
But yeah, this would be a perfect fit, especially with headphones on to fully soak up that soundtrack & atmosphere.

I always imagine that Koei Tecmo have some giant squid employed, working on no less than 5 musou games at once.

A bit late to the party, but I'm finally paying Mario Odyssey for the first time this weekend. So far its crazy good, like the best parts of every 3D Mario game blended together...and on crack for good measure!

Clearly there's a Switch shortage! Microsony paid Capcom to keep MHW off the Switch obviously! (Which I'm enjoying on XBOX ONE! It really is lacking though, can't play it on the crapper, or while trying to drive my car to work, for shame Capcom!)

The only good thing about these Sonic games are the great soundtracks (well apart from the unnecessary cheeseball lyrics)

I want to see a new DKC game, but with claymation style graphics, kinda how the original Snes games looked. I feel they could nail it now that the tech is there. Also no jetpack nonsense, talk about cheesing it!

If you don't twist your body in the correct position while playing online, the motion sensors in the controller picks it up & kicks you offline. You must do a hoola hoop dance with the joy cons in order to reconnect!

Yet to play Mario due to all my gaming funds going towards the Xbox One X next week. But in that time I've almost convinced myself to get the Odyssey console bundle & give my current Switch to my niece for Xmas. I've wanted red joy cons from the start & now that I've planned this idea in my head.....yeah It's gonna happen lol

Ugh this madness has to end! Apart from the analog shoulder buttons, & a nice grippy thumbstick, the GameCube controller is a pile of piss. The dpad is practically unusable, the c-stick is dreadful, the buttons are like jellybeans and irregular oreos!
Let it go people!!

Soon enough Nintendo is going to have armed guards on patrol at stores, with orders to shoot on sight any customers walking out of stores with new Nintendo games or products.
