Its sold out at eb games here in Australia too. I hope this sells well, & sends Nintendo a message that its their games we cherish, not the wiggly waggly gimmick based fluff. (And a nice regular controller) I bet this sells better than the Wii U this year!
@GrandpaPixel good point! I guess because I'm not a handheld gamer myself that this doesn't appeal to me at all. I just hope that for whatever reason the home console versions don't get watered down to accommodate the handheld portion.
I feel this would take off in Japan, the rest of the world not so much.
Plus with the PS4 remote play, & the Xbox play anywhere feature coming in September, this rumoured hybrid thing isn't exactly a revolutionary idea. I just don't see anyone really caring.
Am I missing something here?!
I would like Nintendo to go back to the Mario 64 template for a future game, still my fav. As for Sonic: great 2D games on the megadrive & gba, but things really does turn to crap once they turned 3D. The Sonic Adventure games are a fantastic example of style over substance, and play like absolute trash. I remember as a kid being so excited to play Sonic Adventure 2 on my Gamecube way back. I rented it & hated it so much. As someone who played real 3D platformers on the N64, the SA series felt like 3 steps back. Awful awful controls too
I'd be all for it. MS and Nintendo are the only ones with IP's worth a damn (Sony has Ratchet & Clank, the rest are meh)
Mario, Halo, Zelda, Gears, Smash, Forza etc on a single console?! Not to mention the multiplats on top. You'd be mad to say it's a bad idea (see above)
I remember seeing this being played in a video game store a few months before release (import console) & just watching it for around 2 hours in a stunned state of disbelief. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was mind blowing at the time. This was the future & my god was it exciting. The first few years of the N64's life were easily the best I've had in my many, many years gaming. What an an incredible time to be alive!!
So Nintendo are bringing their biggest, most ambitious Zelda game to the NX while also working on a port of the most linear, restrictive Zelda game for the NX also? Ah what a load of crap lol I don't believe it for a second
Breath of the wild sounds like the latest Garnier fruit shampoo line. Game looked decent though, not as great as say Horizon Zero Dawn but still sweet. I think some people are still in disbelief that Nintendo can actually create games which fit in with the modern era of gaming, took me a while to wrap my head around it! Lol
One day Nintendo fans will realise that Nintendo does not give a toss about them. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the staff at Nintendo had no idea what the Mother series was until the fans started begging for it!
Hell yeah!! I've wanted a Lego Goonies game for years now, I'll be all over LD2!! Can't wait to see the truffle shuffle in lego form! Fingers crossed for a Labyrinth set somewhere down the line!
It would be nice if they surprised us with a teaser for a new Mario game, set for NX. They don't even have to show the game, just a brief Mario head on screen telling us that he will see us soon on a new home or whatnot. Another hope is that a few 3rd party devs drop the NX logo in their game trailers, giving us something NX related to look forward to. Could happen lol
In a new strategy to generate hype for their next console, Nintendo will have a single NX unit on display at e3, completely surrounded by guards who are authorized to taser anyone who tries to get anywhere near the thing.
I actually just sold my first print edition 10 minutes ago, just wasn't a fan. But I had great chat with the guy who bought it off me about all things Nintendo (mainly the new Zelda naturally) and it was a good feeling giving a fellow Nintendo fan a great deal.

Re: Devil's Third Online Servers To Close At The End Of The Year
And nothing of value was lost. The game is an absolute trainwreck. And yes I played it from start to finish. Kill it, kill it with fire
Re: Review: Mighty No. 9 (Wii U)
Not a bad game, not great either. Certainly better than Devil's Third or any of Sonic's latest outings though (the cheeky little bugger)

Re: Talking Point: Considering the Possibility of the Nintendo NX Having Virtual Reality Features
Don't care for VR, or this hybrid console nonsense. Either make the SNES 2 or go third party.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo UK Hints at More Mario Kart 8 DLC
Knowing Nintendo, it's probably just going to be Mario Kart themed Mac n' cheese or something

I still think SFZ would have been much better as a VR game, but hey at least the title screen music is awesome!
Re: The Servers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex Are Down
Good on Activision for keeping the servers running, if only Nintendo would have done the same for some of their Wii games, such as Mario Kart.

Nintendo seem to be releasing everything except games these days
Re: Tatsumi Kimishima Reiterates That Nintendo NX Is A New Way Of Playing Games
