TT Games' LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has just received its first update on Switch. In what has become the LEGO game with the biggest launch of all time, The Skywalker Saga has been upgraded to version 1.0.4 to give the game a little bit more Force. Or just make it a bit more stable, really.
Little fixes are always welcome, and there are a couple of Episode-related issues that might have tripped a few eager brick Jedi up. Here are the patch notes straight from Warner Bros.' LEGO Games Support:
Release Notes - May 2022 (Version 1.0.4)
Numerous fixes to stability, quality, progression and performance issues throughout the title, including fixes for:
- Issue in Episode 7 where in certain situations Maz would not be present on Takodana to continue Story mission ‘Friends of the Resistance’.
- Issue in Episode 3 where in certain situations the level trigger for ‘The High Ground’ could fail to appear.
- Issue in ‘Green Harvest’ freeplay mission where under certain criteria the camera would be stuck on Tatooine indefinitely.Implemented 4 new Capital Ship encounters in Local Space adding 34 additional Kyber Bricks to collect:
- Fulminatrix
- Home One
- Invisible Hand
- Venator
Oh, a few small new things to do as well? Thanks very much for that! We'll be heading out into Local Space a bit more to find those extra encounters and get those extra goodies then.
Does this update help you out at all? And will you be trying to hunt down these new encounters? Let us know in the comments!

Only had one crash so far (halfway through Episode 2 and playing chronologically) and that was blank screen with audio when meeting Jango Fett which I had to reset the game, luckily it saved all Kyber Bricks before reset and getting to the point was not difficult.
Oh there was one bit of weirdness but not a crash, in the lower city of Coruscant, (also episode 2) where some boxes were stacked on top of nothing, so guessing there should have been boxes underneath them, but not enough memory to display them.
The biggest crash in the game was Order 66.
I've had some minor performance issues when things were "a bit busy on the screen". Ep III & IV mainly. Had an issue where story wouldn't progress in ep II where I was certain everything I done was right. Replicated everything again after re-starting and it did progress.
Really enjoying it. So much so I get side-tracked in exploring the open world, breaking , re-making and making.
Anyone else getting buggy cutscenes with no faces on the minifigures? Seems to mainly affect Palpatine but lots of others too.
Excellent, I had some crashes on first boot that I hope were caught in the update! Looking forward to continuing the game!
More kyber crystals? Luckily I got that kyber trophy already.
@timwright42 Before or after the update? And do you quit the game after playing or keep the game on in standby? Haven't experienced these problems myself.
Annoying they still didn't fix the notification dots, these yellow dots keep coming back.
A great game but it definitely needed patching. I have had about a dozen crashes in various levels and it can seriously chug at times. Still having a lot of fun though.
@HotGoomba What about the droid attack on the Wookies?
My game is glitched to the point where I have six playable characters at all times in Free Play, many of them duplicates. Nothing seems to fix it. I’ve tried resetting, going into story missions, changing planets, etc. It’s obnoxious and game breaking and it’s ruined my desire to play the game, which is disappointing, since I’m at 70% completion.
Anyone else found the game underwhelming? I can't deny it's stuffed full of content, but I've found it to be all quite repetitive & I've lost the motivation to continue.
Fine additions to my ship collection.
@sikthvash I found it's very mixed bag. There's a lot of creativity in some of one-off puzzles. But then also a ton of repetition on side missions that require you to just go between planets and grab random things and go back to the mission giver. Takes a lot of time to constantly load in all the planets for those things. Sometimes more time to load than it takes to grab whatever random thing you are looking for.
@sikthvash it is a very repetitive game, especially when cleaning up those final kyber crystals on the planets. But it is a Star Wars nerd's wet dream. So many nerdy, goody, smart references and throwbacks. It makes fun of itself so often and doesn't take itself seriously. It's left a smile on my face, even though it's a grind on the collection side of thngs.
they need to fix the one bug that crashes the game while unlocking/purchasing the ships thats the most annoying bug.
Such a mediocre game, even compared to the older Lego titles. You'd have a much better experience watching the movies at 16X speed, and building any random lego set as you watched. Best lego game in years! Ha!
Best Lego game out of them all and I think the guy above is in the minority with that sentiment. As for crashes I haven't had any but I'm playing on PC.
@sikthvash This is what all Lego games are like. Just curious but is this the first Lego game you've played? not having a dig btw as I can understand your sentiment. I grew up with these movies so I suppose I would get more out of this game than those that didn't grow up with them.
@RubyCarbuncle Similar, Star Wars is very close to my heart. I played most of the previous Star Wars Lego games & Lego City Undercover, so maybe my expectations were a little too high and I'm maybe a little burnt out on collectathons shrugs
@sikthvash Ahh right no worries.
@squidgybuffalo I’ve had all minifigures disappear from all cutscenes a few times. Most odd seeing lightsabers and hair (no idea why the hair remained) twirling around in the intro.
I only played Lego City Undercover before this Lego game. I played it for 90 hours thus far and the game was definitely worth my money. Playing through the story is great. But I find the collectathon part of the game too much. 50% of the Kyber Bricks in the game would have been enough. Also the upgrades you buy with the Kyber Bricks doesn't seem to change the gameplay much.
I currently have played through 5 Episodes and Galaxy Freeplay mode is completed 45%.
I'll give the game another look at then, because the freezes and crashes kept killing my mood to keep going. I only managed to get through just Episode I, too.
@sikthvash where did you get to? The Prequels are quite repetitive but once you hit the Originals and Sequels it gets much better.
How can this be the first update? Its 1.0.4 so 🤨
@Bunkerneath When I was still playing it, the game would crash at LEAST thrice a day, for me, usually after or during my purchasing of characters/ships.
@timwright42 I've had the audio for cut scenes load in but not the visuals
@Joeynator3000 the only issues im having on tha game is constant crashes from trying to unlock multi ships everytime i try unlocking a third one the game crashes.
I'm stuck on rise of skywalker after starting c3p oh no! After the cut scene it just gets stuck on lightspeed loading screen. Seems like lots of people are having the same issue. Frustrating as I can't continue
@Moshi Ah that's a shame! It would definitely crack me up to see glitches like that though!
I hope it's fixed for you
Did they add the mini interactions with the the DLC characters?
I wouldn't want to buy characters that are there, just to be there. They have got to update them.
