While true, the mechanic of dropping your money after death and having to retrieve them doesn't exactly encourage diverting from your chosen path even when you hit a roadblock.

The entitlement of some fans is just insane. You're not owed anything just for being "hyped" for a game. Good on Team Cherry for sticking to their guns.

Crypt Custodian was one of my surprise favorites of 2024, so this is an instant buy. Really liking these backgrounds and character designs.

I did experience some discomfort with the default settings, but turning the screen shake down helped considerably and I've been fine since.

The game itself is a 10/10 platformer, but all the issues surrounding the HD version (price tag, performance, not crediting the og developers) drop it to like a 6/10.

As someone who played through Emio, this is another case where the people shouting "spoilers!" from rooftops are doing more damage than the actual trailer itself.

It's been heartening to see aspiring game devs in his comment section pick up all the insight and techniques he's introduced in the videos. Sakurai's stated purpose for the channel was to "help make games around the world a little more fun", and while the effect may not be immediate or even readily apparent I'm sure he has succeeded.

Blasphemous 2 is already in my top 5 metroidvanias, and if the dlc can sufficiently improve areas the first game still exceeds it's sequel in (replay value and challenge) it might just become my absolute favorite. What they've told so far seems very promising.

Would've been an 8, but at the very end they do some really surprising and inspired stuff that raises the whole experience to a 9. If I liked the command select gameplay style more it could've even been a 10 for me.

Never bought a figure before aside from amiibos, but I love Ganondorf and especially his TotK design enough that I'll try to get my hands on this.

Save Me Mr. Tako might be a bit rough around the edges, but it oozes a sort of positivity, earnestness and love for the medium that makes it impossible not to root for the dev. Definitely backing this.

It's great. I had some problems with the camera, but otherwise I enjoyed it very much. A must-have for a fan of the original games.

I've finished the story but still playing. I want to at least do all the sidequests, upgrade most armors to level 2 and find all the shrines, caves and wells.

Somehow Evermeans have been the thing to scare me the most. Even when I'm expecting one I tend to lower my guard too early. "I'm this close and nothing's happening. Must be a normal... GAAAH!!!"

I'm not sure where the writer is seeing Twilight Princess elements in SSBU Ganondorf. That's just straight up his adult era design from OoT but with the short hair of the child era.

Koroks and amiibo gear aside, I don't think I've upgraded all my armor to the max yet. Don't think I will either since grinding for the dragon parts isn't all that appealing.

Very excited for Layton's return, but Decapolice looks interesting as well.

Interesting you stuck Prime 1 together with the sequels since the suit in 2 and 3 is way different (and for the better).

Still one of the best trailers I've ever watched, though I will say it set my expectations for the story a bit too high.

I obviously haven't played all of these, but Crisis Core Reunion blew me away not just because it looks so good but because the load times, the bane of many Switch ports, are so short. Great job on that front.

Alien Storm is good fun and Golden Axe II is the best in the series, so I definitely recommend those for any hack 'n' slash fans.

Still missing a good amount of Korok seeds (100-200 IIRC) and haven't really done much of anything on Master mode, but otherwise I've seen everything the main game and DLC had to offer.

All the DLC for 1st and 2nd party games should really be free to make the expansion pack worth it. I was actually surprised that Xenoblade 3's DLC wasn't included in the deal.

I remember watching a Let's Play of this a while ago and being disappointed that it wasn't on Switch. Definitely picking this up.

It was the GameCube collection, but I can't remember which one I played first. Might've been TLoZ or the Wind Waker demo.

I don't think Splatoon is a series that really needs big additions or changes. New single-player levels, multiplayer levels, Salmon Run bosses and weapon types are enough for me to justify a sequel, though one thing I wish they'd added was a new multiplayer mode (I guess it might come later, like Rainmaker and Clam Blitz originally did).

Big oof. This just makes me sad and disappointed. Hard to believe this is the same company that gave us all the great Professor Layton games.

Happy to say I own most of these. The remaining ones I'm not that interested in, with the exception of Dillon which I plan to get (along with the sequels most likely).

Just a few genre groups so far: Platformers, Fighting games and Horror games.

Wow, none of my favourites made it (Whip, Beetle and Staff).

One thing not mentioned in the review is that at least in handheld mode the framerate drops frequently, even if you turn off all the effects. This can get very annoying, especially during speedruns. Hope they fix this issue at some point.

I missed out on Klonoa and Shake Dimension so I wouldn't mind those getting ported.

For me Other M was a good action game, but not a good Metroid game because of the overbearingly linear structure.

Storywise it's the same thing as with The Last Jedi: I enjoyed the narrative just fine, but seeing people on the internet pointing out all the flaws and inconsistencies has kind of soured it for me, even though I don't share all the criticisms.

Been unable to download Game Builder Garage and Short Hike because of this problem.

Probably gonna get it, but to be honest, I hope there'd be an option to buy Bowser's Fury as a standalone at a lower price.

I spy 6 games that I've played, but at least 13 that I'd like to play. Money and time, that's all I need.

That centaur mech armor made me redownload the game. Just the perfect combination of ridiculous, original and kinda cool. The new battle theme's no slouch either.

@Spoony_Tech I liked Pan-Pan quite a lot. Short and sweet little adventure, and definitely worth it at the current price.
