Update #2: It looks like Nintendo has fixed the dreaded Error Code 2123-1502.
According to Nintendo's maintenance schedule on its official website, it performed network maintenance on 20th June. It would appear that the maintenance has fixed Error Code 2123-1502 – according to some reports, at least.
We've also noticed that a game we were having issues with downloading last week now downloads without issue.
Distribution of Switch update data will also take place next week on 28th June. This also includes maintenance of the Nintendo eShop, Switch parental controls and Switch Online app.
Here's what went down on the 20th (and what will happen on the 28th), according to Nintendo:

Update #1: As several of you have written in to tell us, the issues relating to Switch firmware 12.0.3 have still not been resolved almost a week after the company restarted distribution of its latest update.
We've contacted Nintendo for comment and will update this post as and when we know more.
Original Story [Fri 11th Jun, 2021 15:30 BST]: Earlier this week there was the unremarkable occasion of Nintendo releasing a Switch firmware update that offered "general system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience". Then, in what seemed to be a first, problems arose and Nintendo paused the roll-out, eventually restarting distribution a couple of days later.
The problems of the original roll-out were stated by Nintendo to relate to connectivity issues and issues when adding new microSD cards. However, some users are still having issues on version 12.0.3 despite Nintendo's updated roll-out, with error 2123-1502 coming up as attempts to download games or updates fail.
We noticed a surprising number of users in the forum thread on this very website, and there are some struggling to download games today. There's also a lengthy Reddit thread full of Switch owners with the issue and sharing potential fixes.
For those having notable and ongoing issues it's certainly worth contacting Nintendo Customer Services for assistance, while some are being pointed to this page for a process to try.
Here's what Nintendo suggests:
- Attempt the download again
- Select OK to close the error message.
- A message indicating that the download stopped because an error has occurred may appear. Select Continue to attempt the download again.
- If the same error code appears again, please try continuing the download a few more times.
- When the message "Downloading data..." appears, the download should complete normally.
- Restart the Nintendo Switch console.
To restart the console, press the POWER Button for three seconds, and then select Power Options, followed by Turn Off. When the console has turned off, press the POWER button to turn it back on again.
- Clear the cache on the Nintendo Switch console.
- Test your internet connection
Test your internet connection to ensure that your Nintendo Switch is still connected to the internet.
- Create a new internet connection.
Set up a new internet connection, ensuring that you are attempting to connect to the correct network, and that you are receiving a strong wireless signal from the network.
- Manually enter an alternate DNS.
If the DNS you are attempting to use is not working, entering an alternate DNS may resolve this issue.
- Ensure that the MTU value in your network settings is set to default (1400).
- Connect to the internet at a different location or access point.
Some are also reporting that when a download fails to process they simply keep selecting 'retry download' and it eventually works. In other instances clearing your Wi-Fi settings and re-entering may also help.
It should be noted that this seems to be affecting an unlucky minority, but it's not an ideal look for Nintendo - which has typically been very reliable with its firmware updates over the years.
Have you encountered this issue since Nintendo rolled out the fixed firmware update? Let us know in the comments.

Happened to me trying to get picross S6 to update... Eventually worked through repeatedly forcing it to try downloading again. Super annoying to deal with, I'm sure it'll be a nightmare for anyone who is downloading full games
I'm glad my consoles haven't updated yet.
I'll just wait until Nintendo sorts this out.
I keep getting the same error. Was on a chat with a Nintendo Rep for an hour. They kept having me change my internet connection information. I kept asking about the error Code and they would not even acknowledge it. Probably the worst customer service I have ever received from Nintendo over the last 30 years.
Not enough stability.
Lets just come out and say it.
That last firmware update was not stable at all.
I'm feeling unstable.
Thanks for publicising this. I'm one of the people experiencing issues too. I currently can't download games or updates for games. I've emailed Nintendo and they seem completely oblivious to the fact that it's fairly obvious 12.0.3 has caused this problem. They've sent me a further reply asking me to check my DNS settings...
@Ralizah
I forgot.
If i turn my Switch into Airplane Mode immediately after I turn on my Switch, will it disable internet connection ?
I haven't updated my Switch yet but I don't want to get into trouble by playing Switch games offline.
Been unable to download Game Builder Garage and Short Hike because of this problem.
I used to be able to hear Epona neighing from deep within my console it was so stable
To be fair, they did say it was “general system stability” being added, not “full system stability”.
12.0.3, now officially the first instability update. Twice has this update screwed things up.
@Anti-Matter If your wifi router is in your home, you can turn off the router before you turn on your Switch to turn on airplane mode. Then turn your router back on after. If you don't have access to the wifi source, then disregard.
My Switch and my children's switches all have the same issue. Total nightmare, Nintendo as per usual are just ignoring the issue......
Well, this is one way to keep me working on my backlog instead of adding to it.
I just bought trials of mana and I kept getting an error when trying to download the update file. I had to press start on the thumbnail and go to update manually for it to actually work.
So it was lie about the stability that everybody posted here! lol
I demand a stability update!
I got 12.0.3 when it first rolled out. So far, I appear unaffected - knock on wood. I downloaded a small demo as a test, and it worked. I'm not sure if any of my games have been issued updates since the issue appeared, so I'm kind of nervous about that.
Ah, so that's what that was. Bought physical Astral Chain, then had to retry several times for it to get updated but it worked just fine after that.
This is happening to me too. I'm one of the "keep trying and it eventually works" people. This is not stability.
@Anti-Matter Why do you think you would get in trouble for playing Switch games offline?
Anyway, yes, airplane mode will disable access to wifi. I don't think it's necessary, though: the update was downloaded on my system, but I haven't installed it yet. It'll prompt you to update your system before when you try to play a game, but you can just ignore it and tell it to play the game without issue.
@Ralizah i havent updated my console either i just go skip it and go straight to gaming till they fix this.
Here's the page Switch owners should actually be going to. Nintendo official support directions for that error code:
https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/55529
Short version: Keep trying and it eventually works
@Ralizah
Ah, I see.
I downloaded and installed 12.0.3 when its distribution restarted and received that error-message after purchasing "Alba: A Wildlife Adventure" on Thursday morning. A system reboot made the game files download working, finally.
I thought it was supposed to make it MORE stable. But maybe they've reached the peak, maybe they instead of making more stable, they have to make it less stable! Seems rough.
Same problem. I couldn't download an update file for Ori and the Will of the Wisp
I had previously updated and had this same download problem last night I kept trying to download and after about about 3 or 4 tries the game downloaded.
I have now changed my DNS settings and dumped the system cache. Just tested redownloading HOLLOW KNIGHT and it worked no problem.
this reminds me; i haven't updated the firmware on my Nintendo switch in a while. i was going to update it this week, but i guess the updating will have to wait.
I refuse to update my Switch until 12.0.4 is live.
I just did a hard reset and it fixed it.
I was getting it before the update a lot, was worried it was my Switch what was the issue.
I have the fix. Keep trying
Welp, at least i haven't used my switch lite in over a week!
I’m in the minority… Downloading Wave Break failed about 30ish times. Thanks Nintendo 😵💫
@WhiteTrashGuy This is why I haven't bothered contacting Nintendo, as I can tell it would be a waste of time. It always is with issues like this that clearly aren't the end user's fault and are complex issues.
@Mr_Humpf I erased my current internet connection and then connected to it again and that seemed to fix the problem for me
My download didn't start, but when putting Switch into the sleep mode, it downloaded just fine.
@thomasbw84
I was able to fix this problem by clearing my current internet connection and then signing back into it. Don't know if it's a universal fix or not but it's worth a shot.
Looks like mocking stability updates has finally backfired.😅
Can't download the game garage demo and when canceled it leaves the spinning gray icon on my home menu. I was able to try redownloading and it still failed, but I could delete the icon this time around
I have the problem as well. Thanks all the ppl for telling me it was now safe to update the system! 😉
You could say this was an infirmware update.
This morning, I had this error. I tried a hard reset (holding down the power button for a few seconds, then back on), and downloading works fine now for me.
Updated Hyrule Warriors and DOOM 64, and downloaded a few smaller games, no issue on my end.
I updated after they put the update back online. Really hope those having problems get this fixed and working again.
@Zachuratedphat I guess a hard reset worked for the both of us. Will admit, it's sometimes easy to forget the Switch sleeps and never shuts off fully.
Won't let .e download games this error code keeps popping up
I was affected but clearing the cache worked, thanks NL!
@Darkyoshi98 try erasing your current online connection then reconnecting to it.
@d-slice I got stuck with the spinning image icon as well.
@whanvee Thanks for that, and I think a few others have done the same. I added a note to the article.
Isn’t it already resolved? I had some trouble downloading stuff yesterday, but now everything works just fine!
This is obviously all happening because this was supposed to be the update that makes the new Switch pro and old Switches share eShop etc, but the update broke downloads on the old switch /s
@Slowdive
If you don’t mind me asking, what exactly is TLS 1.3 and what it does? 🤔
I’ve heard of it since this update, but have no idea what it is. 🤔
Been trying to update No more heroes travis strikes again for two days now got to 50% then failed then consent error and X when attempting to download frustrating.
I don't know seems fine to me...but I don't play games all that often anymore. Thanks Nintendo for not releasing games I want to play.
I had no issue with mine but my brother did got hit by the error when attempting to download the recent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update. He manage to get it to work though by resetting his router and restarting the connection again.
@Slowdive Removing TLS must be what's tripping up people's wifi access/downloads. The question is, why would Nintendo remove TLS and replace it with SSL?
I had to clear wifi settings on the switch and reset my modem. No problems after that
Huh. I did have trouble downloading an update last night but I thought it was my Internet. It worked eventually, the 4th try.
Not had any issues so far <touch wood>
Edit: Touching wood did sweet FA. I now have issue with downloading. But I finding that downloading is ok, as long as the Switch is not sleeping, or not playing any games
I have them on my Normal switch but not on my switch lite
@Slowdive
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
I’m a little confused, I thought that TLS was an upgraded version of SSL.
IIRC, I also thought that was some sort of movement to get SSL (or another encryption method) replaced with a more secure encryption method.
Maybe it has to do with the rumored Switch Online revamp, and they might be testing what works and doesn’t work before they completely redo the Online infrastructure. 🤔
All firmware updates should be optional, and the system should stop bugging you for it every time you try to boot a game. Same garbage happens on Windows 10 with all the forced updates breaking things. Windows 10 was the OS the caused me to move to Linux. If you are mildly computer savvy, I highly recommend Linux Mint, it’s great and all my windows games run perfectly on it.
As for Nintendo, at least 95% of their library is also on other platforms.
I was balancing pretty high up in the air, standing on one foot upon my switch, when this update came through. Everything became less stable and I fell.
Thanks nintendo!
I haven't updated anything yet but I'm sure my little brother already updated the console, he doesn't stop playing miitopia
Yeah. It hit me too. Had me Switch since launch, never had the issue until this update.
I think adding folders, new backgrounds and native voice chat would alleviate these stability issues.
Demo's won't download. My Switch says the update is ready to install, but I don't want to install because of the problems.
I've had issues too. It's annoying Nintendo don't offer the option to refuse an update (or have I missed that option?) as if you don't install the update it pesters you to install it every time you switch between apps.
@BulkSlash,
The only way to avoid those notifications probably is to just Switch-off (hah) your internet connection on the system.
Either way, not a good press just days before E3. Especially since those E3 discounts are coming up...
It has been 5 days now, this really doesn't look good on Nintendo...
I had this issue last night when I was trying to download Game Builder Garage. I found that if you leave it on the download progress screen it seems to work, but the second you leave that screen to browse the system menus or launch a different game while it downloads, the download would fail.
Nintendo better fix this quick if they have any surprise games dropping right after their Nintendo Direct (which they usually do). A lot of developers will miss out on early revenue because of this.
It's a shame really. I was looking forward to trying the demo to game builders garage to no avail.
It's a regular occurrence, as in not always, and frequently, that I have to manually update save data on titles, before I start that title. In addition, sometimes, my Switch will give me errors that I can't play certain software, or update/download save files because my NSO sub can't be verified. Usually, making 2, or 3 attempts finally allows me to update/download save data, and/or play the specific software. These issues I have listed here been with my Switch for some time now. Again, it doesn't happen Everytime. It happens enough to be considered frequent/ medium level frequency.
The Switch has a huge stability problem. I have never had a system with as many instances of games crashing. Some games are basically UNPLAYABLE because they crash all the time.
Yeah, got this earlier when trying to download the Game Builder Garage demo and getting the update earlier. Restarted my Switch and it eventually worked, but hope this gets fixed soon.
I've just bought Alba half an hour ago, and I have the 2123-1502 error !!! Nintendo, do something please !
Nintendo you had ONE JOB TO DO! STABILITY!
I haven't updated the system, should I wait until the next update is available?
Nothing above works for me !
I commented about this on the other topic several times, but I'll post here, too. I'm one of the few(?) who started getting Error 2123-1502 last week, around Thursday, June 3rd, several days before System Update 12.0.3 even came out. It started when I tried downloading the Game Builder Garage digital preload.
I contacted two different branches of Nintendo Support about this issue on Sunday. None of the advice they offered helped. I was finally able to download and install System Update 12.0.3 using public Wi-Fi on Wednesday. The next morning, I was finally able to download the Game Builder Garage preload and a couple of game updates. But then I started getting Error 2123-1502 again and haven't been able to download anything since.
Nothing has worked for me. I've tried restarting my router and modem, restarting my Switch, powering down my Switch and turning it back on again, changing my DNS settings, resetting my Internet settings, etc. No matter how many times I choose "Continue" on the download screen, I keep getting the error and it fails to download. I haven't gotten the error on my brand new Switch Lite yet, though that could be a coincidence and I haven't downloaded much on it, either. Just thought I would share my experience again.
Three days after the update, nobody are able to download anything ! Well done Nintendo !
I've been having this issue the entire I've been on 12.0.3 (since it's initial rollout). Still having issues today. I have to tell it to "continue" the download several times until it eventually completes. Not the end of the world, but certainly annoying.
Yeah, I have this issue. Did want to play Switch over the weekend but I think I'll only play XB1 until this is resolved. Hopefully there's a patch before the E3 Direct.
For this kind of work at least give us new themes and folders! FFS 🤦♂️
@Mr_Humpf
I had an issue with the update with a game updating. Did a soft reboot and it downloaded…..
If you haven’t tried that maybe give it a go.
Hope they fix the issue.
Do they actually test these “stability” updates before they go live?!
Same problem. Whatever they did to fix it is unfortunately also 12.0.3 so we're stuck with the faulty one for a while.
At least I've had no issues playing games. But do fix this mess before you drop E3 stuff, please and thank you.
Yep this is got me as well, trying to download patches or games and get the error
Having issues today dl games but after a few attempts to stop the dl and try again it eventually works. Annoying but not the end of the world.
This is happening to me and i really hope Nintendo fixes it and gives us who exlerienced the issue maybe some like eshop credit or something.
@Domino same here
This error is happening to me. I downloaded the update before they pulled it and now I cannot update any games. Very frustrating. I’ll take a free eShop game as compensation, Nintendo. Post haste, please.
Luckily I have no money to download anything new! So long, suckers
They need to fix this before Mario Golf! I might have to go physical, tho I bet there’s a day one patch.
Never had a problem downloading anything before this. Now every time I try to download something, be it an update or a game, I get an error. This update broke the system.
It apparently doesn't seem to be a small minority problem either if we have this many people reporting the issue considering how this isn't exactly the largest website around.
Yep, same repeated error...
Today, Nintendo has become "just another tech company." I spent months refusing to connect a USB HDD to PS5 for the same kind of "it's broken but we won't acknowledge it" nonsense.
I haven't updated yet but I almost accidentally did several times already. It's only a matter of time.
I'm getting the error, too. They need to fix this ASAP. Buy a game, can't download it. Sux.
I did not do the system update and I will wait until this is cleared up.
For anyone who hasn’t yet updated, just wait. Like everyone else is saying though you can kinda just force it to download games by just hitting to okay/continue button over and over. It’s kind of a pain but I got it to download 2 different titles today that way
Had a bit of a panic this evening when a new purchase refused to download. Turning it off and on again did nothing. Connecting to BT Wifi instead of my Hub, then reconnecting to my Hub seems to have fixed it finally.
The really annoying thing is I'd deliberately been cancelling any prompts to update because I wasn't convinced they'd fixed the issues, but it must have gone ahead and installed it while the console was sleeping today... Not cool, Nintendo!
What the hell is going on at Nintendo??? First the are extremely secretive about the 2nd half of the year. ZERO E3 updates or Super Switch updates. Then putting out two botched updates.
Can confirm this update is boinked as well. I bet this this update fixed the users who were broken by the first update but screwed the users who were never affected by the first....lol....days before their E3 "conference"...wow....smh
@Bizzyb
Being secretive is kind of the point though. The excitement wouldn't be as great if they were to give us a steady flow of information compared to hitting us with full force.
In terms of the improved Switch console, it's going to be in July, 100%. I don't know why people expected it to be the week before E3, even with the so-called "leaks" that said it.
I thought that I managed to get mine working again, sadly it only worked for a little bit before it started playing up.
The NSO service as a whole
Joy-Con Drift
and now this.
My confidence in Nintendo as a credible company is all but gone at this point and I would dare anyone try to defend them after this without looking like a fool.
Resetting the cache solved the problem for me.
Oh.. Thank goodness.. I thought my system was starting to die yesterday. As much as it sucks this is now an issue, at least it is a known issue and can be fixed. My launch console isn't just a geriatric dinosaur doomed to fall apart just yet.
After all, what are the methods to solve this problem without the help of Nintendo. I'm from Brazil and had to come in foreign chats to find, anyway I'm not very good with English, who really have the different solutions from the blog inform me or something like that
@Heavyarms55
I’ve never had one single issue either. I didn’t update to until 12.0.3 today. First thing that happened is NSO Nintendo won’t update. 7 retries later, it downloaded and installed.
Tried absolutely everything could find on the internet without success. Ended up backing up all my data to cloud, factory reset and started trying to download again with also a fresh SD card. After a couple of download errors with BOTW no further issues. Everything is working fine. Now on the 4th game downloading without a single error.
Let's address the elephant in the room: What can Nintendo do to fix this? They Catch-22'd themselves with this one. Another firmware update isn't going to do it, because WE CAN'T DOWNLOAD IT!
This probably got in so Nintendo can do more "stability updates" in the future that actually adds more stability
Took me 10 try's but griftlands finally downloaded
Since accidentally updating , I've also had the error but in my case the download will eventually start after a dozen or so retries.
I've had the issue for a few days now. No amount of cache clears and Internet settings deletions helps! Hopefully they address this...
I have both error 1502 and 8056. Switch 2017.
I got the error 2123-1502. Fortnite needed an update but when I tried to, the update kept failing with error 2123-1502. This happened repeatedly for about 30 mins.. I found this thread and checked my system software version and I had 12.0.3 already. Then my son suggested I use my glasses.. which I did and noticed there was a tiny font suggestion to uninstall the game and re-install. I tried this and im back online.. I mean He's back online
I’m still experiencing the problem. Bought Republic Commando last night, the problem started but I thought nothing of it, maybe it would fix itself over night. This morning I’ve tried following every step on Nintendo’s support page and the brute force retry method and still nothing.
Guess I’ll have to wait for a new console update then?
I was trying to update one of my games and it kept failing but some guy told me archive the game and try again and I didn’t work so I have to redownload it
Spent $50 on Go Vacation to download and play at family night yesterday. Spent hours trying everything suggested... still NOTHING. Really irritated. Nintendo needs to put a patch out for this now.
I was trying to download Smite as it was free, but then I was given the error code. I looked at the support site and tried the things it said but still no change. Now it’s just saying that I don’t have the download space so even without the error I wouldn’t be able to get it anyway
Yeah I've had this issue. I was trying to download Fast Rmx and the street fighter collection and this error occurred multiple times, I thought it was just the internet being weird cuz I'm on vacation. But knowing this that makes me feel a lot better
Just picked up Mario Tennis Aces preowned. Not sure if it's a duff cartridge as it's states not recognised. After taking it out and putting in again a few times it finally works. Then the update fails to install with the error code above. Playing the game it crashes so I'm guessing I really need the patch that I cannot get. Now don't know whether to return the game for a different cartridge or wait until Nintendo resolve.
Yep, had this problem re-downloading Lego City Undercover. Restarted the Switch (Lite) and kept trying to re-download. Eventually it worked and it's still downloading now. Sounds like a ding-dang bug to me.
I am having the same issue, I cannot download the game demo for game builder garage but I also can't play online.
Yep I am having these issues here. They eventually download after I retry a few times.
@cainswo Yup. I was waiting on a MK8 update I must have missed. Same thing, after several tries it worked. It's annoying but minor.
Tried the other suggestions and it still doesn’t work, even trying several times….
I've encountered two download errors and a total OS crash since the update went live. Just restarting things seemed to iron it out, though.
I have the same issue. Since the update it shows this error code all the time and I can't download content from the eshop and I can't play online. Sometimes it works for 10 minutes, but then: 2123-1502.
Getting this issue also, just purchased game builder garage, its not downloading, hope it gets fixed soon.
Went to download Super Bomberman R Online and now I can't 😂
Hopefully there is a fix soon!
Been having this issue since friday. i factory reset my switch and everything but so far nothing has worked. Any recommendations? i cant even play any games atm as i have to reinstall them. Ive also tried spam pressing redownload but nothing seems to work. Pls help!!
Got it while downloading Game Builder Garage demo.
I have this problem since 3 days.... that's terrible !!!
No update I can do
No new game I can play
No demo I can download
They need to come up with a permanent fix for this error and fast, the E3 Direct and Eshop sale is tomorrow, most people aren’t gonna be able to download anything with this firmware update.
I am having this issue.
They keep wanting me to change my internet settings, which have worked fine since, I bought the switch, on day of release.
Concerned any update to a game, will render this unusable.
I find this unacceptable.
Was ready to but both Mario golf & Zelda, but will keep my money & spend it with a company that actually cares for its customers.
I
am also not at all happy with the customer service. I find it dreadful. TBH, I have let them know my feelings in an email.
I haven’t been able to download anything tbh though, i have been worried my switch was broken or i ruined it. I hope Nintendo fixes this. Anyone have the same problem or agree?
Just got my son's switch back from Nintendo after having it repaired for being unable to read SD cards...and now this! Greeeeeaaattttt.
I was able to get my expansion pass to download by immediately starting the game before the error code popped up. Has anyone tried to immediately start playing another game before the error pops up on the newly downloaded game?
Yes, I experienced download issues. Had to keep retrying!!!
I too am having this problem. Contacted Nintendo and they firstly listed all the techniques that I'd already tried.
They now said to book it in for an inspection, but the repair would only be free if it's still under warranty, but they need proof of purchase.
I bought it in 2017 I don't have the receipt anymore, has anyone else done this??
Yep, still going. Still not able to download anything.
I've just got it too. Can't download software updates for Pokémon Snap. 😟
Console force updated in standby and I'm now stuck with bull crap firmware. Thanks, Nintendo, you really screwed the pooch this time. Purchased Mario + Rabbids on sale, but nooooooo, can't even download the bloody thing.
Well, I just tried downloading stuff first time since the update. It's stuck. I've tried changing the DNS, clearing the cache, and powering off and on again. Any other suggestions?
Our Switch started doing this. I asked my Son what the last thing he'd managed to download was, he said Miitopia demo so I deleted that and it started working again.
I put my foot in it; got my copy of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and got the DLC and stuff installed, then went to play. It then prompted me to do the system update which I did, but I completely forgot this update was buggy. I immediately regretted as soon as I pressed yes. I am unsure if I have the problem as well since I downloaded what I needed prior to the update, but this certainly needs fixing.
I’m also having this issue - ridiculous situation
I get the error since updating, but I can still download games. I've downloaded three games since updating, two gave me trouble, one downloaded without any problem. With the two that didn't work right away, I just kept trying until it worked. I downloaded the second version of the patch, so maybe that has something to do with why it works sometimes, but who knows.
I get the issue but for me it just takes a few attempts to get a download going. I got the update after the it was supposedly fixed, or at least I was prompted to restart afterwards, don't know if it had downloaded it before that.
I'm also getting this error. Very annoying, but it's only an annoyance.
I think it might be on nintnedos side of things
and not the update for the switch
I started with this issue two days ago
I did not update my switch because of the issue I have herd about
But two day ago I had the issue I could not download at all
So I have done the update now to see if any change but no.
So I think its possible it's on Nintendo servers or something
And probably Nintendo knows about it
as that is why they restarted to let people download the update.
So all in all if I am right an update to the switch might not be needed at all
Just Nintendo need to sort out the problem on there side.
Good to see Nintendolife contacting Nintendo for us. I’m amazed so many of us customers have contacted customer support and written on their social media and their staff are either ignorant to the situation or at least acting it. Not sure how they can be recommending service repairs for the same situation!
Again, thanks Nintendolife for investigating for us!
Unfortunately im one of them, took me over 20 attempts to download a demo and since then nothing will download including update data so until its solved i hope my favourites dont need an update
Thanks for keeping us updated, NL<3
Yeah, I can’t download any updates for any of my games and it’s super annoying 😡
This is probably the reason their stocks are dropping. People are excitedly trying to buy games after E3, but are unable to download them and are probably refunding their purchases. Interesting that they are pushing a huge sale on their broken digital front.
None of that crap worked for me
Download works 100% if you use wired LAN on Switch.
Only WIFI is buggy. Not LAN.
I bought Umurangi Generation last night and it was quite the journey to get it to download. I had to try at least a dozen times after resetting my switch. This error is the worst.
I bought Ninja Gaiden 3, it WILL download after several attempts, but ONLY number 3 for some reason. I also cannot updats any game (SNES ones for example) no matter how many times I try. Ridiculously pissed off.
This is just a very poor showing on Nintendo part, people might have problems with Sony and Microsoft , but at least they are on the ball with stuff like this good communication and fix problems pretty quickly, same can t be said for Nintendo , great games but everything else is poor especially anything to do with online
I used to be a pretty ardent supporter of Nintendo but man, lately there’s just been some moves (or lack thereof) that have just made me start to completely reevaluate my impression of them this gen.
@Drac_Mazoku I'm used to download things undocked too, but using LAN is better than nothing right now for downloads.
I used same Joytech WII Lan adapter for 14 years now.
First Wii, Wii U and Switch.
In fact i still share it with Wii U. Should buy another one.
I know why WIFI stopped working. Each stability update is just blocking exploits.
This time they went too far and even blocked downloading from eShop.
Its affecting all 4 switches in my home
Oddly enough, if I download a new game or DLC content, it's fine. If I download a patch, it's difficult.
Not good enough on Nintendo's part in terms of customer service. I'd have thought they'd have had the ability to roll back firmware updates in events like these (it happens) but looks like thats not the case
This has been a thorn in my side for a week now and it's starting to get irritating... Proof that too much stability is a bad thing?...
@Ventilator unfortunately that's not entirely true, I've been unable to download any game patches or Void Bastards (newly purchased) over either WiFi or the wired adapter connected to my dock and nothing seems to make any difference at all...
Browsing the eshop sale earlier but will hold off buying for now until this mess is solved. The initial wireless pairing bug for select 3rd party controllers which was caused by one of the recent updates still not fixed by the way. Some users here were really pissed about that (including me) and this is an even bigger issue. I don't get why they rush in pushing these broken/untested updates.
Turned it off and on again after rebooting a few times, pressing the continue buttons dozens of times, clearing the cache, and changing all the settings.
After half a dozen more continues it seems to be working again for now?
I also have trouble sending images and videos to my phone. Apparently I get the wrong password.
Had the same issue after purchasing a few games yesterday and putting the console into sleep mode, which borked all three downloads and produced this error.
I restarted (didn't work), shut down (didn't work), cleared the cache (didn't work), shut down again (didn't work), changed the DNS (didn't work), shut down again (didn't work), and instead of trying the "+" to download again, just clicked on the game to start the download, and for whatever reason, that worked on all three games.
Really big PITA, but it's the first real problem I've had outside of a game randomly crashing.
@ZombieGavinS That's weird. Worked every time on LAN here, and also today.
WIFI works on everything except for downloads here.
Looks like this error is not the same for everyone. Some can download games, but not patches...
I keep having this but find if u keep trying it will work.
I fixed this by cleaning the cache
This needs to be fixed, it’s very annoying.
I hit this problem yesterday...a console restart was enough to fix it this time. Would obviously prefer a more permanent solution though.
I tried every trick possible to fix this issue. Cleaning the cache, format the microSD card, using a different DNS server, using a different WiFi access point. Still the same issue. I've not been able to dowload anything since I installed that system update.
I don't know why it happened or why is it taking so long to fix it but... Please Nintendo fix this already.
Edit: Also I don't get why these hot fixes do not work with my console. Quite frustating.
Back in my day you would put a streets of rage 2 cart in the mega drive turn it on and you are gaming. Simpler easy times where art thou! Xxx
I ran into this problem yesterday. I kept pressing and pressing until my game (demo for Ys IX) finally downloaded. I would recommend keeping trying the download before wiping cache memory or doing a factory reset. In any case, Nintendo has to fix the issue.
This is why I always wait at least a month before applying an update.
I'm not touching my Switch until this issue is resolved.
Yeah uhh my Switch has essentially become a paper weight until this gets fixed. No point in even trying to buy anything anymore.
@Dragonslacker1 Honestly this is the biggest problem with the Switch these days, it's apparent how the modern day online enabled nature of consoles has made them really annoying at times where stupid things prevent you from being able to enjoy them fully. Playing older games and consoles can be so refreshing, you just started up a game and played it, and that was all there was to it.
I contacted Nintendo support but they didn't have anything to add beyond what has been discussed by everyone already. They pointed me to a support note: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-Switch/Troubleshooting/Error-Code-2123-1502-1983947.html
This is just a reiteration of the many things people have already been trying.
At the moment the support representive it's suggesting a local network issue which is a bit disappointing considering the increasing amount of noise about this around the globe.
I might have missed it but a public communication about this from Nintendo would be in order I feel. Seems strange to ignore such an issue
why is it giving me such a hard time downloading title updates?? I spent more time trying to update than i actually got to play the new Doom Eternal dlc
@YorkshireNed So it could be on a game-by-game basis? (comment #159)
@Mirage-5x5 and it could be on Nintendo's servers instead of strictly through update 12.0.3? (comment #166)
And we also know they switched from TLS to SSL security...
Perhaps a specific game's code could trip up the new security somehow?
NintendoLife, would you like to investigate this on a game-by-game basis? And also test out pre-12.0.3 Switch's, in case it's server-side?
If it's on a game-by-game basis, then that would be a nightmare for Nintendo. There's no way they could comb through every single game, or expect every single developer to change their game through an update to support SSL. Why in the world did they switch out TLS?
I think I didn't update my console yet
@moodycat this feels like a case where nintendos general lack of communication is a major issue and where "doing things their own way" wont fly, and i agree with you that it must be a nightmare for customer service too if they are also relatively in the dark in this situation.
My parents just bought a switch... Too bad they can't get any games.
None of the proposed solutions have worked for me. Contacted Nintendo who've said Incan send them my switch for inspection, which is not an idea I'm keen on. If a software update can break it surely a software update can fix it, so surely there's no point sending it to them
I had this problem too and it seems to have been fixed as of this afternoon, seemingly of its own accord. I’m hoping it stays that way!
Bought Mario + Rabbids in the sale and haven’t been able to download it, so frustrating!
I think I have a weird case of this error. I can play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fine (have not tried online today) but Super Smash Bros Ultimate wants an update and it gives me an error for that, if I keep insisting it eventually starts to download the update, the only problem with that is while it's downloading it's super slow and says it'll take an hour and 8 minutes at 12% and this is on an internet connection working fine.
Weird really, can't tell if it's the update, the servers or both.
I wonder if it'll work if it gets to 100%? Be interesting to see. I also had to use a new microSD card, so I'm sure that helped to trigger this error after reading this article saying that causes it too.
It's not a big deal for me right now, as long as it actually fixes which hopefully will happen soon.
On that reddit thread there is a comment that says

"I emailed nintendo uk yesterday and they basically said to keep trying all the troubleshooting things… even though I’d already said I’d done all of them and that they hadn’t worked.
They did say this, though: “Unfortunately due to that fact Nintendo is still actively investigating the error you reported, we can only provide the troubleshooting steps provided in this e-mail.
We do sincerely apologise and we understand that this is a very frustrating problem, one that Nintendo is working tirelessly to resolve.
In the mean time we would encourage you to keep trying the troubleshooting steps previously provided as this may well resolve your issue before an official fix has been released.”".
I get this error but if I click on Continue enough times, the game downloads. It's like I wear the Switch down.
Switch: Download error
Me: The error isn't real; download it
Switch: No
Me: Download it
Switch: No
Me: Do it!
Switch: Okay
Imagine having 3 console generations to get wifi right and not being able to offer a stable firmware update or a stable online infrastructure after 4 years of a consoles lifecycle.
And no, you can't blame COVID because this(NSO problem) started all the way back in 2017 when the Switch first launched and they have yet to address (some) these problems nor fix them in a timely manner.
While I did enjoy their E3 Direct and what was shown, that doesn't mean I'm going to give them a free pass on the stupid decisions they've made for the past year and a half and neither should anyone else for that matter.
Had to do all the above a few times, and finally got t to work.
For an hour. In time to download my newest game. Not sure what triggered it exactly. Good luck everyone
@JayJ It's not helping them in the competition(or lack thereof) with Sony and Microsoft, either. Especially since both of those companies' newer consoles offer better wifi and ui interface options along with a more diverse variety of software, both old and new.
Nothing work for me ! I'm waiting for a update... someday...
It’s absolutely unacceptable at this point, especially as there doesn’t seem to be any real acknowledgment from Nintendo. There are two Switch in my house and both are having the same problems. Eventually got DOOM Eternal update to download last night… only for it to fail after almost an hour which put me right back to square one.
Should just do a rollback to 12.0.2 or whatever the last stable build was and release it as 12.0.4 until they can fix the issues.
My god. Nintendo needs to fix this issue right now
Such incompetence & pushing the blame on the end user, I feel sorry for anyone going thru this, thankfully my switch is off I haven't used it in a while but I won't be updating till this gets sorted out.
Thanks Nintendo, for forcing broken firmware that I had no choice to download as I had my Switch in standby for over a month. Screw your lack of a QA department.
Absolute bullcrap.
Nintendo have certainly been horsing around with this "update".
"I find your lack of stability in the switch disturbing"
I hope they fix this soon 😫
Yep. Still have it. Nintendo is literally taking the p...s now. I paid for 2 games recently that i cannot even play.
At least Nintendo let me buy the game on the eshop...
I'd like to offer something that I've found to be a possible solution, but it requires a bit of manipulation and patience, at least with eshop purchases.
When attempting to download, hit the download button, and immediately cancel the download. Hit download again and you will see a "Download options" window to click on.
You should then see three options...
Download this software first (This window will not be active)
Cancel This Download
Back
Once you've gotten into this window and you have to get here, wait about 10 seconds and make sure you don't see the "X" on your download pop up. Hit back and you should see your download active.
Please note that I've also entered a manual DNS...
Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS: 1.1.1.1
Make sure you save the settings, and monitor this closely. You may have to reset (change DNS Settings to manual with those addresses again) as the Switch may return to "Automatic" if the Switch is turned off or put into a formal sleep status.
Please let me know if this works for any of you. It sometimes takes a couple of times (frustrating), but as long as you only download that file and don't queue another, I've found it to work about 80% of the time. Also make sure that you also don't have your Switch set to go to sleep.
@AceMcGyver65 this worked for me after a few tries. Thank you so much!
This has really been a headache for me as I'm currently in the midst of transferring all my games to a larger Micro SD card. I get the reasons for these "updates", but all too often they seem to create problems themselves.
You are welcome. I wouldn't have posted what I did as a workaround if I found that it wasn't working. I've managed to download 10-12 files over the last few days using this method. I accidentally discovered it by just fiddling around in anger.
My story:
I bought about a dozen games for the big sale. 4 of them had the "X OF DEATH". I followed a DNS trick someone posted here on NL. It worked! Instantly downloaded all 4 games.
I then bought 2 more games. Got "X OF DEATH" again. So the DNS trick didn't work forever for me after all.
I then just clicked the "continue download" button a few times and they too downloaded without much hassle.
Good luck everyone!
won't let me play Nes games, there was one Nes game i wanted to check out but now i can't. Not a major issue but than again I am paying them for Snes and Nes games.
Ugh...great now its doing it for me. Though I would be lucky and not have to worry about this. Tried all the tricks so far nothing. Frustrating......
I tried to download the outer worlds on 15/6 and i couldn't because of this error...
They should release a truly stable update at the earliest. Sitting hovering over the Switch watching the download bar to work, no less, for an hour or makes you feel miserable.
I haven't put my Switch online since a few days before this update was released. If I go online with my Switch now, will I get the dreaded update, or has Nintendo stopped giving it out?
@WhiteTrashGuy had a similar experience, as did one of my friends. Absolutely woeful.
I had it then I powered down the console (not sleep actually turned off) and it was fixed. Think a lot of people just put it in sleep instead of powering down and think they did that step.
@Mr_Humpf
where do I email them? I want to complain too to these inept punks at nintendo too, their solutions are useless
None of those useless solutions you posted work!!
I know they're the official ¨solutions¨ given by nintendo so far, so that´s even more grievous
This is a nightmare, resetting the cache, changing DNS (actually that worked...ONLY ONCE), making a new internet connection, etc, spamming the download button like crazy (that worked like two times) ...this sucks...nintendo customer support is a joke...I have a ton of games that I already bought and now I can´t download anything!!
@MrPaul91 Seriously? They told you to send them your switch? what kind of joke is that? are they seriously trying to pretend their garbage buggy update didn't cause all this mess??
@SeantheDon29
No thanks, Sony can go to hell with its censorship crap...and XBOX has no exclusive games...
@Gamer_Griff
That doesn't always works...I've tried to download Star Ocean First departure a 1000 times to no avail
@Specters No, that doesn't work. I've turned off the console completely plenty of times. I've tried everything. You probably never had the problem to begin with
@locard hey buddy I didn't say you personally didn't do it and I didn't say it would fix it for you. Just said that's what I did, it fixed it for me, and it's a SUPER DUPER COMMON misconception between putting a device to sleep and doing a hard restart.
I do IT work and you always start from the most basic steps to eliminate causes and turning off and on a device is one of the first steps. More times than you might think that does in fact solve issues and a lot of people don't think to do that simple solution by themselves before requesting assistance.
@locard I'm talking to Susana at Nintendo Contact Center Europe. I started off the conversation by going to Nintendo.co.uk selecting "Contact" in the red box at the bottom and wading through "All the are you sure you need to contact us?" mesages. It eventually took me to this form (link at the bottom). The replies are now coming from [email protected] though. Here's that link. https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Contact/General-Customer-Service/Contact-Us-1106389.html?redirect=true#/contactform
@locard I'll just add that changing the DNS setting has been my most productive change. Usualy I receive the errror message to begin with, but if I hit Continue about 10 times it usually goes away.
@locard yep! They also said that I could incur a fee if my switch was out of warranty, I bought it inn2017, no idea where the receipt is. So I'll just wait, nothing has worked for me.
It has been ten days, this is pathetic...
This is happening with Tetris 99
Well Super Smash Bros Ultimate is now working again for me (offline, haven't tried online yet but that may work). After being super slow at downloading what it needed to, it got to 75% and gave me the error message, had to keep pressing A and eventually is resumed where it left off. Reached 100% and now it works fine. So that's good. I've decided to download whatever needs to be downloaded for my other games and online games as well. Good thing I've been playing GameCube games on the Wii and Wii games on the Wii U lately.
Hope Nintendo can find a way to fix things soon, it's good to know from the Reddit comment that they're working on it.
I just got a 400gb card for my Switch, gonna hold off on putting that guy in there till this is fixed due to issues with initializing new cards.
It's simply terrible. I cleaned the cache and it helped for a while, but it doesn't solve the problem entirely.
My Switch is so unstable, I put it down on the ground to download a game, and it fell off.
Maybe Apple DID purchase Nintendo, and is now bricking older Switches through updates in order to sell the New Switch, soon.
Ain't this fun, guys?!!!
To download anything, I have to turn my Switch off and then hold the power button down for one minute, then turn it back on, and I get one download out of it after it restarts. And even then, it might take three or six tries of me hitting retry or cancel download before it works. After that, it goes right back to the endless loop of 2123-1502 errors, and I have to reset again. WOOOO FUN!!!!
Still happening to me. Still, nintendo are the king of the end times, and the switch is going to be a master streaming device. So, expected. Revealed the secret, come get me ninjas.
Here I am, from Italy! One week later, same problems (error 2123-1502 still present). Someone in Nintendo deserves to be fired.
@locard At least Sony and Microsoft are releasing brand new games that take advantage of the Series S and PS5s processing power while the Switch only gets 2-3 year ports of last gen games and overpriced re-releases of their first party titles with only a small sample of new first-party titles in-between those releases and most of those are just spin-offs.
Yeah I have this problem too. I wasn't going to update my switch but, I bought a few games on sale and when I was prompted to update I did so without thinking.
Spamming retry worked but this from a company with the resources of Nintendo is utterly unacceptable
This is literally awful. I tried everything Nintendo suggested on their website, and it still doesn't work. Finally, after 15 minutes of restarting the download, it finally downloaded. This is unacceptable from a company as big as Nintendo, and I can't believe that they are ignoring the problem after more than a week.
And here I was blaming my internet connection. 😂
This is a so ****ING poor. This is not typical Nintendo but it's really stressing me out.
I find the 12.0.3 update's lack of stability disturbing.
Star Wars fans will get what I did there.
I was actually able to start downloading the update for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity! It's not finished yet so it could still mess up, but I haven't gotten the error yet. Fingers crossed this means they've got it working for everybody!
I first got the error back around the time Game Builder Garage become available for preloading, which preceded System Update 12.0.3. Nintendo hasn't released a new system update (12.0.4), I don't think? So it does seem like a problem on their end.
Good luck to everyone!
Both my Switches have this problem. I changed DNS to Google servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). I still get the error, but I just keep trying the download and it eventually works. I don't leave the downloading page while it downloads. It's a pain but I have gotten games to install.
This problem is inexcusable since Nintendo is running a huge sale right now. Lots of people are buying multiple games and can't download them. And I'm sure a lot of people aren't as informed about workarounds or tech savvy enough to adjust DNS or clear cache etc.
Been so xbox-occupied since November, and some time before, but I’ve never had my NSW crash before. Today I’ve gotten a handful. I guess I’m not wanted as a user and should let it rest for a while more… Xcloud is laggy, but laggy beats crashing any sunny day…
Man And we all know nintendo wont even give us a little somthin.
Sweet, so I assume all affected will be getting our Nintendo Software Beta Tester checks then ??
Were Nintendo inspired by Sony?
Sony pretended the 1.5 month of downtime never happened on PS3.
In fact Sony thought people worldwide wouldn't notice that 0% of online games worked on PS3 for 6 weeks. LOL
Smash Bros updated on WIFI yesterday...Hyrule Warriors only updated on LAN.
Weird.
At least Wii LAN Adapter downloads anything on Switch as of today.
Hopefully the upcoming update addresses this issue. The problems are annoying at best and unacceptable at worst.
good that an update is on the way to fix it but the error isn't a big deal anyway just press continue it doesn't start the whole download over it picks up where it left off
At the very least they should extend the e3 sale for an additional week AFTER the issue is resolved.
I never got around to updating to 12.0.3 (on 12.0.2), so should I hold off on updating? I know they had 12.0.3 up, but then pulled it to "fix" the issue before putting it back up. Would it affect me, or does it only affect those that updated prior to it being pulled?
I thought it was just me . I found keeping the download screen open helped, but it's a pain.
I’m in the states. Mine and my son’s Switch suddenly started downloading updates normally 24hrs ago. I wrote NL to report it. I suppose our cases are anomalies?
My Switch also seems to be downloading updates again as of this past afternoon. Thank goodness.
Downloads have been working for me again since Saturday (6/19) afternoon. Have downloaded multiple games, demos and updates since that time on two different WiFi networks. Hopefully service will be fully restored for everyone soon.
I turned my Console off off and it worked when I turned it back on
Really poor. This can happen for a couple of hours - not days.
I bought some games in the sale and continually got this error - ridiculous this should happen.
Amateur stuff
Pretty sure Nintendo are working on this, and it might not just be as simple a fix as some are suggesting.
But come on first world problems at best.
@Punisher67 If you have any experience creating software, you should know that this isn't an easy problem to fix. Of course Nintendo is working on it.
Lesson learned, don't ever rush to update your console when an update is available.
@johnvboy This should not happen period! They should be able to push a rollback to affected consoles.
The fact they don't even have such a simple fallback procedure in place just shows again how behind the times Nintendo really is.
My console fixed itself yesterday
@Rpg-lover The problem is, that they force the system update on you. You won't be able to update games anymore, until you install the system update first.
Nintendo is extremely obsessive with combating the homebrew community. Hence, why each Switch OS update contains at least one fix/change against homebrew and why they are so aggressively pushing you to update the OS each time.
Which also means any online game you play will stop working until you update.
It's not like on your average PC or Mac where you can delay an OS update for a while.
Still having this issue can't update or download games nothing has fixed it.
This is the other side of Nintendo. Close the loop, say as little as possible, errors, new console, game delay etc. Our customers will understand.
So when it's fixed it's fixed. 😱
I am getting really tired of having to put up with all this rubbish from Nintendo.
First my joy-cons get drift, I am on my third pair now because otherwise my games became almost unplayable. The joy-cons are not cheap in Australia either, they cost about $120 for new ones here. Nintendo of course, refusing to believe that there was an actual problem at first and putting the blame directly on the innocent customer. Anything to take the heat off themselves..
Now this enforced update that broke their server somehow / or at least made it impossible to download or update games. Many of us had to wait over a week to play games that we purchased. It was like they were taking our money but keeping our games hostage. Of course, they told us things like “check your wi-fi connection”, “try downloading the game again”.. once again making out like it is / was the fault of the customer.
I have been a fan of Nintendo since the 1980s (when their first console, the NES was released). Never had any real problems with them until the Switch.
Mine seems to be fixed as of Saturday afternoon as well.
lets hope this fix works and unlike the last one it makes matters worse and increase the amount of people with the problem.
still amazed no other sites have picked up and posted about this, just shows that nintedo get a free pass
"crisis"
lol ok pete, settle down
Better late than never for that fix. Can people chill out now?
yup it's fixed updated Stardew Valley to test no error at all and the speed of the download is back to normal the error also made it download very slow but the Stardew update downloaded fast like it is supposed to
@Jeronan you're absolutely right about that. Nintendo gets a free pass being incompetent sometimes, I may sound harsh saying this but it's the true, the joycons for instance no permanent fix yet.
20th of june, really ? Because mine started to work correctly again by friday in the evening !
@Rpg-lover calling Nintendo incompetent for this, their Joy Cons or any number of ridiculous issues they've had is not harsh at all.
In fact i would say that calling them incompetent doesn't even go far enough.
The fact that they haven't fixed the joy cons and continue to pump out faulty products is a straight up scam.
Nintendo stabilized the destabilizing stability update?
We've achieved a level of stability once thought impossible! There's no going back now...
@Jeronan,
Not convincing me, all firmware updates can cause issues, which is one of the reasons for the updates in the first place, as bugs get discovered over time by people using their consoles etc.
Still first world issues at their finest, people really need some real things to worry about.
@Nintendzoey Referring to the joycons, maybe get the Hori Split Pad Pro? They're really good, or you can even go third party. I don't live in Australia, so I don't totally know if they will be cheaper or even available there, but mine are pretty good!
"Please understand..."
The Switch has been very stable and this is a small glitch(outside of the ridiculous Joycon problem) compared to the overall life of the unit. It happened to me as well but it drained the battery down trying to update and when I plugged it back in the problem was resolved.
Accidents happen, but the lack of communication from Nintendo here was just phenomenally crappy.
@RoguePirate You're absolutely right its a scam. In fact, the switch is an ultimate end time device.
Classic Nintendo.
They'll do something (eventually) but never breath a word of it. It's probably a "never speak ill of the company thing". If they never talk about it, the reports are just a noisy minority. I bet the only reason this was turned around so fast was it came on top of a big sale period.
I don't think they ever announced they modified the repair program to replace bad joy cons. And certainly never addressed if switch lites or future joy cons were more enduring.
@RoguePirate glad you're with me on that I said, it pains me that we waste dollars buying defective products from nintendo, promising us a premium product but what we get is a weak cheap over priced plastic atrocity. Well I finally gave up and brought a strong third party controller that is way better than that atrocity nintendo is selling to us all.
@Rpg-lover yeah i use 3rd party too.
Hori at least has a clue.
The PDP one is great too, i use Hori for the joy cons and PDP for pro con.

@RoguePirate ohh, that's a nice pro controller, will buy it. Meanwhile I am using this currently https://www.amazon.com/Controller-BEBONCOOL-Comfortable-Ergonomic-Vibration/dp/B0948T1WTF/ref=aw_rtpb_1_1/137-0950281-2890625?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0948T1WTF&pd_rd_r=d38e3e85-cbc3-4f34-831b-59c419ac6b80&pd_rd_w=sshnI&pd_rd_wg=FiyVf&pf_rd_p=03785147-307a-4979-ba24-b68cc4d03c42&pf_rd_r=MWNHCGE4DN94TTXZAXKN&psc=1&refRID=MWNHCGE4DN94TTXZAXKN
@Rpg-lover omg i want this!!!
@Rpg-lover bro give me details, does it work okay? No issues with firmware?
Give me the low down, im gonna get this.
@RoguePirate wats the point on fixing the joycons now wen switch 2 is around the corner which they most likely have the issue fix for the switch successor its not like their ignoring completely but calling it a scam is alittle dramatic.
@RiasGremory how do you know the Switch 2 is around the corner?
And how do you know they will fix the issue?
Yesterday I could download a couple of demo's, so yeah the problem seems solved. I really do hope next weeks update won't mark the return of this problem though.
The communication from Nintendo was non-existent. I mean, they don't have to tell us what went wrong if they don't want to. But they could at least have said that something was wrong and that they wanted to solve it as soon as possible. Instead they just went on with the E3 sales as if nothing happened.
Why do I get the feeling that their servers have been attacked by a hacker? I mean, there's also Wii u/3DS maintenance. Why's that?
@RoguePirate I'm on latest firmware and it works absolutely fine. Smooth and responsive buttons, easy to connect and play. You can charge it while gaming. Can't say it all, but I am impressed with the controller so far.
If you want to buy it, go ahead bro. You won't regret it. This is making it two months of me purchasing this nice controller. I have others However, just like hori lookalikes but no rumble, so I decided on getting this because of that.
at last, stability.
for now anyway....
Ok this is weird.
I just updated my switch to 12.0.3 and so far, I have no issues yet
Just updated mine, didn't do it previously and for the first time I had to resign into everything....didn't really work until I logged in to the Nintendo website and changed my password, then it gave me a password sign in option.
That would explain why I was able to download a game yesterday on the first try. Nintendo not saying anything about this "fix" is just a d-bag move on their part.
Ran into this issue while trying to download the Age of Calamity patch. However, after clearing the system cache and rebooting the system, it was fixed. Hopefully that works for others as well. "Worst case scenario", the update next week will fix it for everyone.
There's a new but not currently damning problem I've encountered. Every time I go to play a downloaded game, it says "checking to see if software can be played". This typically happens when you either move games previously downloaded onto a new card or you have preordered a digital download, and your internet connection verifies it. But now it's asking me every time I go to play a game I downloaded, even if I've already played it since the update. End of the world? No because I always have my Switch connected to the internet, But this is bull crap if I didn't or don't have wifi and want to play a digital game. Nintendo frustrates me to no end.
My Nintendo switch isn't working after it updated it says could not start the software .. then restarts it's self then says it all over can't even hold power button to turn off .. home button doesn't even with
