Started and finished Hunter X
A great Metroidvania that I really enjoyed.

Started Metroid Prime Remastered, a great little Metroidvania, some of you might have heard about it.

I was planning on sticking at it right untill the end but then my PlayAsia order arrived containing Sanabi, Rusted Moss and Bõ Path of the Teal Lotus so I caved and started Sanabi
What an amazing game so far.
Love it.
I will play the other two straight after each other.

Have a great weekend everyone

Finished Steamworld Heist.
Really enjoyed it, a nice change of pace.

Started Witchcrafty after grabbing it on sale. Enjoying it so far.
EDIT: I have to add that it currently has a lot of bugs. I've encountered a bug where my character can't move and is frozen = hard reset.
A bug where I died but wasn't loaded back in = hard reset.
A bug where my character glides instead of walking and can't jump = hard reset.
A bug where there were invisible enemies.
This is all in the first few hours. It's a shame as the game is very good but man does the Switch version need a patch.

Also bought Hunter X whilst on sale so I have that to play next.

Enjoying Geist on my Cube. I wish Nintendo did more games like this these days.

Have a great weekend everyone

No questions on whether you play docked or handheld?

Docked all the way btw.

Also the game I put the most hours into is Dark Devotion Physical, NOT ESHOP. Not that there was an option for physical, grrr.

Re: Feature: Super Rare Games Talks Digital Publishing, "Shorts" Criticism, And Anticipating The Switch Successor

I'm really glad companies like Super Rare are around.
Smaller games that would not get a release otherwise can only be good for those of us who want a physical copy of a game we love
I recently missed out on Haak and sent Super Rare an email asking if there were any chances of getting a copy and they put me on a waiting list for a chance to pick up a cancelled copy, which I did.
It was such a nice surprise and something other companies don't seem to do.

I also grabbed Haiku the Robot off them which I'm so happy about.

I get why people don't like these companies but I'm glad they exist so I can get physical copies of games that I love that might not get a release or overlooked in the huge library of games that are available.

Finished Aggelos.
Completed it and loved every minute of it.

Started and finished CryoGear.
An enjoyable Metroidvania, so much so I went back through on New Game+.

Started its sequel of sorts, Ginsha.
More of the same with some nice additions, enjoying it so far.

Also ordered Bō Path of the Teal Lotus, Sanabi and Rusted Moss off Playasia so I have those coming to me in the next couple of weeks and I can't wait to hook into all of them.

Have a great weekend everyone and game on.

I finished another couple of Metroidvania games this week.
Finished Hunter's Legacy: Purrfect Edition.
A great little Metroidvania that I recommend to any fans of the genre.

Also finished The Clunky Hero.
A fun game but not without is flaws. Still, good while it lasted.

Started Kunai after my physical copy arrived.
An amazing game so far, I can tell I'm going to really enjoy this game

Also my copy of Astro Aqua Kitty: Pawsome Edition arrived so I'll be hooking into that as well

Have a great weekend everyone

Started Hunters Legacy: Purrfect Edition after grabbing it cheap in the Eshop sale.

Also bought a physical copy of Astro Aqua Kitty so that will go into my backlog which I can't wait to get into.

Re: Anniversary: Mario Golf On N64 Is Now 25 Years Old

Freek

Happy anniversary Mario Golf 64.

I have it in mint condition complete along with the other 245+ N64 games I have all complete for this excellent console.

Still play it every now and then along with most of my 64 games. The kids love my collection (they're not allowed to handle them though) and my youngest can't wait to inherit my complete Pal collection.

I've told them that under no circumstances can they sell them and they're fine with that.
Who knows, as soon as I'm gone they probably will but at least they can use the money for their future........ hopefully.😳

Finished The Messenger. What an amazing game, loved it.

Also finished The Company Man.
A great little action platformer that I really enjoyed..

Started The Knight Witch.
It is a great mix of bullet hell shooter and Metroidvania with some great music and art. Can't wait to spend more time with it.

My copy of Haak arrived from Super Rare after I thought I had missed out on it.
Thankfully they sent me a copy that someone cancelled on so I might have another playthrough of that.

My copy of Pronty from LRG is finally on its way as well thankfully.

Might go through my N64 collection and pick a game out from that, maybe one of the San Francisco Rush games.

Have a great weekend everyone

Finished a few games this week.

Finished Young Souls, 100% complete.
Really enjoyed it. Great rpg elements and nice combat, beat it on hard which was, well, hard.

Finished They Always Run, I absolutely loved this game, beautiful to look at, great gameplay and tight combat. Add in an ending I didn't expect with a great song and soundtrack means this game will stay with me for a while. Excellent.

Finished Gal Guardians.
This game annoyed me, repetitive sound bytes that grate by the end of the game.
Padding the game with a fetch quest that requires you to go through most of the levels again including the bosses to open the final battle felt like a very lazy design choice. Gameplay was ok, so too the visuals but not as good as I hoped sadly.

I have a copy of Haak being delivered after I scored a cancelled copy from Super Rare Games after I missed out from the initial sales window.
A nice surprise and excellent service from Super Rare Games so I'll probably play my digital version again as I wait.

Also going back to my playthrough of The Messenger I never finished so I'm going to fix that mistake this weekend.

Playing Bloodborne on my PS4 after I picked up a like new copy for $2.50 from an op shop which was a good score, enjoying it so far.

Have a great weekend everyone.

@DogDetective
If you miss out send Super Rare a message telling them you really wanted it but missed out. They'll put you on a list if someone cancels and will notify you. I just got Haak after missing out and they sent me a message telling me that a copy was available after a cancellation.

I now have a copy of Haak on its way to me as I type this.

Just a tip for anyone who might miss out.

All 18 bosses and all paths.
Brilliant game.

Started Young Souls.
Love the combat and rpg elements. Really enjoying it so far.

Still plugging away at LA Mulana.

Ordered Rogue Legacy 2 and Animal Well off LRG so I can't wait to play them near Xmas time 😁

Have a great weekend everyone

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door For Switch?

Freek

It comes out on the same day as my wife's birthday so I have had this pre-ordered for ages.
She loved it when it came out on the Cube and she will be absolutely rapt.
Some browny points for me 😁
Also, we get a set of fridge magnets here so that's nice.

Still have my Cube copy in mint condition so it's worth a fair bit, it will be nice to play it again on Switch.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th May)

Still playing Dark Devotion.
Absolutely loving it, highly recommended if you like a good rogue like, souls like, Metroidvania or all 3. It mixes them perfectly and is a very underrated game.

Still going with La Mulana slowly but surely.

My collector's edition of Young Souls arrived from Pix n Love after I bought it at 50% off in their sale.
Can't wait.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Started La Mulana 1, love the lack of hand holding.
Old school difficulty with some great puzzles, got pretty far through it so far and I'm really enjoying it.

Also started Dark Devotion after my physical copy arrived this week. I am absolutely addicted to this excellent mix of Metroidvania, rogue like and souls like. It works amazingly.
The weapons have great weight to them, the multiple paths through it each with their own bosses is excellent and the gameplay loop is brilliant.

Also waiting for my copy of Pronty to arrive as well although I already played it digitally, great game that I'll be happy to replay.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Just finished Iconoclasts, enjoyed it but not as much as I thought I would.
Still good but not as good as other Metroidvania's I've played this year.

Also finished Steamworld Dig 2 last week, now that was an excellent game.

Started La Mulana this week, it is hard and old school, no hand holding here.
Really enjoyable though. A nice change.

Bought a brand new sealed copy of Dark Devotion for a bargain off ebay. Can't wait for it to arrive. I will play that as soon as it does.

Have a great weekend everyone

Just finished Steamworld Dig 2 after grabbing it for 80% off. Excellent game, thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew I would though as I have the first on my Wii U.

Just about finished Sword of the Vagrant.
Beautiful artwork and a great game as well. I will have to grab a physical copy.

Also, my Darksiders 3 PS4 playthrough came to a halt as my save file has been corrupted and I have to start over again....and of course I was right near the end. Grrrrr.
Oh well, thankfully I was absolutely lovong it.

Still playing Disney's Illusion Island 4 player with the family which is a good laugh.

Have a great weekend everyone.
