Still playing Dark Devotion.
Absolutely loving it, highly recommended if you like a good rogue like, souls like, Metroidvania or all 3. It mixes them perfectly and is a very underrated game.

Still going with La Mulana slowly but surely.

My collector's edition of Young Souls arrived from Pix n Love after I bought it at 50% off in their sale.
Can't wait.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Started La Mulana 1, love the lack of hand holding.
Old school difficulty with some great puzzles, got pretty far through it so far and I'm really enjoying it.

Also started Dark Devotion after my physical copy arrived this week. I am absolutely addicted to this excellent mix of Metroidvania, rogue like and souls like. It works amazingly.
The weapons have great weight to them, the multiple paths through it each with their own bosses is excellent and the gameplay loop is brilliant.

Also waiting for my copy of Pronty to arrive as well although I already played it digitally, great game that I'll be happy to replay.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Just finished Iconoclasts, enjoyed it but not as much as I thought I would.
Still good but not as good as other Metroidvania's I've played this year.

Also finished Steamworld Dig 2 last week, now that was an excellent game.

Started La Mulana this week, it is hard and old school, no hand holding here.
Really enjoyable though. A nice change.

Bought a brand new sealed copy of Dark Devotion for a bargain off ebay. Can't wait for it to arrive. I will play that as soon as it does.

Have a great weekend everyone

Just finished Steamworld Dig 2 after grabbing it for 80% off. Excellent game, thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew I would though as I have the first on my Wii U.

Just about finished Sword of the Vagrant.
Beautiful artwork and a great game as well. I will have to grab a physical copy.

Also, my Darksiders 3 PS4 playthrough came to a halt as my save file has been corrupted and I have to start over again....and of course I was right near the end. Grrrrr.
Oh well, thankfully I was absolutely lovong it.

Still playing Disney's Illusion Island 4 player with the family which is a good laugh.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Strayed Lights Is Getting A Physical Switch Release, Pre-Orders Open Soon

I've had no problems with LRG, you've gotta be prepared to wait and not expect them any time soon.
It also helps if you email them and ask where your copy is after they've released to get bumped into their next shipping que. Just a couple of tips.

Also, if you want to get their games after they've released I recommend VGP ( Video Games Plus) as they get LRG standard releases as well as Premium Edition games, Red Art Games, Strictly Limited, VGNY, Signature Editions and a few others.

It's good to know if you don't want to go through LRG themselves.

I've Blasphemous 2 CE and Last Faith CE ordered through them and have no problems whatsoever.

FInished Lunark, amazing game. Short but very, very good. Really enjoyed it.

Also finished Curse of the Sea Rats, another awesome Metroidvania, really enjoyed it. Great artwork.

Started Disney's Illusion Island, great art and the writing is actually funny. The family is playing 4 player which is awesome since it is a Metroidvania and my kids now like them.

On PS4 I've started Darksiders 3, awesome game so far, absolutely loving it.

Have a great weekend everyone..

Finished Nobody Saves the World.
What an awesome game, Drinkbox have made another game that I absolutely love.
Highly recommended.

Also finished Curse of the Sea Rats after my Kickstarter bundle arrived a few months ago.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, another great Metroidvania.

Started The Bounty Huntress after grabbing it cheap in the Eshop Metroidvania sale.

Also bought a second complete copy of Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey 98 for my N64 collection to steal bits and pieces off to make a mint Aus rated copy so I might play that again while I've got it out.

Have a great weekend everyone

Re: Switch eShop Sale Knocks Up To 80% Off Select 'Metroidvanias'

I highly recommend
Haiku the Robot
Astronite (especially if you like Gatoroboto)
Aeterna Noctis (massive game, 40+ hours)
Zapling Bygone

I've played nearly every game in that list and these are the games that most overlook.

Not sure if this game is in the list but if you like the Ori games I also recommend Imp of the Sun.
A great Metroidvania with some beautiful art that mixed both the Ori series (artwork and story) with the Gaucamelee series (combat, locked in until you beat the baddies).

Also a game that I love is Dogworld.
It has some great run and gun combat and if you want to unlock everything has a bit of Metroidvania backtracking. Not a traditional Metroidvania but still has some MV elements.

Just finished Tails of Iron in preparation for the sequel.
Really enjoyed it, the bosses are tough as nails but I love a good challenge and I really like the artwork.

Also finished Demoniaca, another good Metroidvania, love the music.

About to start either Lunark or Curse of the Searats.

Also started Walking Dead Destinies just to see if it as bad as everyone thinks after finding a physical copy in the bargain bin already.
Sure it's clunky, the graphics are PS2 era and the production values are as low as they can get but as a fan of the show I'm still enjoying it. I'm taking advantage of how broken some of the game mechanics are but that's half the fun.
It is definitely a good laugh.

Have a great weekend everyone

Just started Eagle Island Twist this game is so addictive, I'm loving it. Highly recommended.

Glad to see Prince of Persia Lost Crown in there, deserves to be higher.

I am enjoying it more than Dread, I really didn't enjoy Dread, it was ok but those Emmi sections were just annoying more than fun imo.
Anyway, PoPTLC is worth every cent.
I'm playing it on hard and it is excellent, just about found everything and finished it.
One of my favourite Switch games ever.

Chronicles of 2 Heroes, still plugging away at it, enjoying the old school difficulty.

Also bought the physical copy of Tunic Deluxe Edition which I'm looking forward to.

Just Finished Pronty, loved it, I will have to buy the physical of it now.

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Trade-In Your Switch Games?

Freek

I keep every game I own, even the bad ones.
Bad games are worth lots of money eventually too, my complete copy of Superman 64 is now worth way more than what I paid for it.

I own every Pal N64 game released here in Australia, all complete.
I also have a massive Cube, Wii, Wii U and Switch collections.
I'm keeping them all, my kids will thank me long after I'm gone.
They can sell them and fund whatever they like with them.

In the meantime we all get to play them together, so it's a win, win situation.

Started a multitude of games lately.

Playing Fury Unleashed which I'm enjoying as I picked it up on sale, also continuing my playthrough of They Always Run, started Chronicles of 2 Heroes, love the old school difficulty.
,Also playing Mario Wonder 4 player with the Family which is always a good laugh.

I also bought the English only copy of Top Gear Rally 2 for my N64 collection as my Australian rated version is the multi language release so I might play that again.
That now brings my total to 250 CIB N64 games.

Have a great weekend everyone.

They Always Run looks beautiful, I'll throw that one in the mix

Afterimage is definitely a great looking game and it played fine when I put in over 75 hours.

Souldiers looks great even if it struggles on Switch.

Ori game should be in there too.

Can't wait for other titles to follow suit.

Imagine if big studios used titles like this.
I can see them now......
Tekken: Fight the Cactus for courage don't lose hope in the Garden!

NFS: Truck of Strength on Highway of Brutal Love!

Zelda: The Kingdom of Battle Street Donkey - Leave no one Behind!

Mario and the Donut of loathing Battle Moon Flowers!

F Zero: Fun Fight Gun Battle Hover Street Racing Cloud Hoppers!

Can't wait.
