Re: Feature: I Lent Out My N64 Like A (Deku) Dealer

Freek

My N64 got hauled around to multiple game nights.
Alcohol and Goldeneye shoulder to shoulder on the couch with split screen multiplayer is the absolute best.
My friends had an amazing sound system so we blasted it while we played. It was so loud that the neighbours came over and asked what movie we were watching.
When we showed him Goldeneye he was blown away and stayed for most of the night.
We added another player to our growing gaming nights after that.
In the end we had street parties where literally the whole street would turn up and we'd have BBQ and gaming nights.
Even the Pizza delivery guy joined in.
Great times.

The last couple of weeks I've been playing Ib, I've finished it 4 times and got 4 different endings so far.

I've also been playing Master Blaster Trilogy. I've finished the first game and I'm halfway through the second.

I've also been playing Fantasy Life.
I'm addicted to this game. I'm loving it.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Just got back from my trip to Japan.
So I have a lot of games to play.

Just finished Yohane Blaze in the Deep Blue after I picked up the physical on Switch whilst in Japan, a great little Metroidvania.

About to start Touhou Luna Nights CE, I picked this up for an absolute bargain on Switch as well.

I also picked up physical copies of Fantasy Life, Ori Collection, Ou, Blaster Master Trilogy, IB+ CE for Switch as well.

I grabbed physicals of Elden Ring and Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties on PS4 for cheap too.

Lastly, I picked up Virtual Pro Wrestling, Shin Nippon Pro Wrestling 1 & 2 complete for my N64 collection as well.

I also went to Universal Studios Japan and Super Nintendo World and picked up a 5th Anniversary Band and had a great time

I had a ball.
Great holiday.

Re: Chained Echoes Dev Is Filing A Lawsuit Against Physical Distributor

@RupeeClock

Yeah, I think that was the problem.
Not enough work being done on actually releasing the games they were signing.

They'll come through eventually, I've been reassured that they are working hard on getting these games out before they announce any more games which is a good sign.

I expect to eventually get the games I've ordered, I'm with you though, I'd like them sooner rather then later.

@RupeeClock @Farts_Ahoy
Premium Edition were bought out by a new company and they got rid of all the staff as they found they weren't delivering on their products.
So they've started over and have new staff.
They're in the process of restructuring and are now finally getting things moving again.

The developer of Sunshine Anthology (which is one of 5 games I have ordered through them) just replied to me:

"We've heard from Josh at Premium and were told that he'd found a better way to do the Multi Application Cart and that he'll be sending us info very soon"

So things are moving

I also have about 4 games ordered through Pix n Love and they just gave an update on a few of the CE's.

Have a Nice Death's Art book has grown from 98 pages to 228 so they've had to adjust the release to accommodate that.

First Press on the other hand have had my money for the CE of Mindsieze for over 6 years and I have received one update in that time.

Hey everyone.
This week I'm playing Gigasword on my S2 after my physical copy arrived.
What an excellent game, the 8 bit art and sound is brilliant.
A great Metroidvania that is a lot bigger and better than I expected, highly recommended.

Also playing Shadows of Mordor on my PS4 as well.

My Extreme Green Analogue 3D arrived this week so I'm going through my complete in box N64 games collection, all 243+ of them and adding each games individual settings that best suits each one.
A huge undertaking but I'm loving it, I'm like a kid opening their N64 on launch day all over again.
I've started alphabetically and just done A.
Armorines is so much fun and it looks beautiful and plays so smoothly in overclocked mode.
The Analogue tis a great machine and I've fallen back in love with my 64 collection.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Another Metroidvania.....Yay!

Also, adding easy to get lost as a negative in a Metroidvania????
That's the whole point of a Metroidvania isn't it.......or am I playing them wrong all these years.
I love getting lost in Metroidvania's, sort of why I play them, so I'll slide that one into the positives.

I'd rather get lost in a Metroidvania than be shoehorned down corridors like Metroid Prime 4.

@ear_wig
They did have it listed and only deleted it yesterday.
They had it listed for over 2 months and have now cancelled the preorders, including mine.

Maybe the physical release wasn't ready or they have some tweaking before it will be released in physical form.

Either way, a physical copy is definitely coming, just not on the same day as the digital version

Hey everyone.
The last couple of weeks I finished 9 Sols, what an amazing game.
Top tier Metroidvania, one of the best.

Also started Finding Teddy 2 after my physical copy arrived.
Also started Mable and the woods and Intrepid Izzy.

I'm feeling a retro urge so I might go through my complete cib N64 collection and pick a few games to play.
Robotron 64, Rush 2049, Rakuga kids are always good fun.
Have a great weekend everyone

Hey everyone.
The last few weeks I've been busy.
Finished Crypt Custodian, Guns of Fury, Deaths Door, The Good Old Days, Souno's Curse, Sheepo, and finally the excellent Blast Brigade Vs The Evil Legion of Dr Cread.
They're all Metroidvania's and every one of them is excellent, highly recommended.

So I'm settling in for a busy next few weeks starting with the excellent Islets which I'm really enjoying as well as Resolutiion which is very similar to Hyper Light Drifter. A great game so far.
Also started The Skylia Prophecy which is hard as nails.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Nintendo: 84% Of Switch 2 Players Transitioned From The Original Switch

aaaand my Switch 2 is mainly used for Switch games with benefits. I have 2 S2 games and I've only played one of them. I haven't even opened the other one.
The huge backlog of S1 games is the only reason I upgraded so I could play my games without chugging.
Prime 4 was the other reason.
It's not like the S2 has a huge and stellar line up that are complete and on cart because it doesn't. t is more that it plays S1 games a lot smoother and that is all that I wanted.

Hey everyone.
The last couple of weeks I finished Moonscars again.
This time on my Switch 2. It plays near perfect on S2, a huge improvement over playing it on my Switch. I enjoyed it on my first playthrough but man, it ran poorly on the Switch. Not anymore. Great game.

Also finished Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo.
Man, this game is an absolute blast and a hidden gem. Everybody deserves to play it, it is up there with Nintendo's offerings. Highly recommended.

Also started Crypt Custodian after my physical copy arrived. I'm loving it, amazing game.

My copies of The Good Old Days, Steamworld Heist 2 and Deaths Door Ultimate Edition arrive next week so I look forward to getting into those.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Bandai Namco Is Looking To Revamp 'Shadow Labyrinth' In An Upcoming Update

I finished it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I did think it needed difficulty options though, all games should have them and I think they're cutting off a player base when games don't have them. Cough, cough, Silksong.
It just gives those that struggle with the game the option to at least still enjoy it.
I recently finished Mandragora and it haves some of the best difficulty options out there that can be changed on the go. All games should have these for players that want to play a game but might struggle.
