Cyberpunk is the only one I have bought and until more developers get off their ...... and start bringing over 3rd party games full on cart then it looks like I'll be saving a lot for money this gen.
aaaand my Switch 2 is mainly used for Switch games with benefits. I have 2 S2 games and I've only played one of them. I haven't even opened the other one.
The huge backlog of S1 games is the only reason I upgraded so I could play my games without chugging.
Prime 4 was the other reason.
It's not like the S2 has a huge and stellar line up that are complete and on cart because it doesn't. t is more that it plays S1 games a lot smoother and that is all that I wanted.
I've already got Terminator 2D Day 1 and CE preordered, Mandragora CE and I'll get MP4 as well. Would like more info on MP4 as it worries me they're not showing a lot on it The bike doesn't look good and the open world is a worry. Time will tell
Hey everyone.
The last couple of weeks I finished Moonscars again.
This time on my Switch 2. It plays near perfect on S2, a huge improvement over playing it on my Switch. I enjoyed it on my first playthrough but man, it ran poorly on the Switch. Not anymore. Great game.
Also finished Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo.
Man, this game is an absolute blast and a hidden gem. Everybody deserves to play it, it is up there with Nintendo's offerings. Highly recommended.
Also started Crypt Custodian after my physical copy arrived. I'm loving it, amazing game.
My copies of The Good Old Days, Steamworld Heist 2 and Deaths Door Ultimate Edition arrive next week so I look forward to getting into those.
I finished it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I did think it needed difficulty options though, all games should have them and I think they're cutting off a player base when games don't have them. Cough, cough, Silksong.
It just gives those that struggle with the game the option to at least still enjoy it.
I recently finished Mandragora and it haves some of the best difficulty options out there that can be changed on the go. All games should have these for players that want to play a game but might struggle.
This reminds me that I really need to open my copy. I haven't touched it since release. Need to fix that soon. My S2 is primarily a Switch 1 with benefits. 😁
Hey everyone.
The last few weeks I have finished Momodora Moonlit Farewell
An awesome little Metroidvania that rewards exploration with a nice mix of melee and ranged weapons. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Also finished Lost Ruins
I really enjoyed this different take on the usual Metroidvania formula.
Great pixel art and sound too.
Also finished Turbo Kid
This game is amazing.
Reminds me of Narita Boy in both style and sound.
Excellent Metroidvania that is highly recommended
My copy of Bye Sweet Carole arrived this week so I'll be starting that next .
Hey everyone.
The last couple of weeks I have finished Chronicles of the Wolf. Thoroughly enjoyed it, great old school Metroidvania with some amazing music.
Got further in Cyberpunk 2077, love the amount of things to do.
Also started a game by a small indie developer that has gone under the radar, it is called Silksong.
You should really check it out.
It is a punishment simulator that is disguised as a Metroidvania.
Also have Mandragora Collectors Edition and Earth Atlantis Elite Edition arriving this week so I look forward to getting into those too.
I fell for it but I had enough health to not kill me, then disarmed it. I think the game is a sadistic joke on us the players. 😁
I will add that this game loves to punish you for everything you do. Sort of kills the motivation to push on.
It plays beautifully on Switch 2. I bought the Secret Edition and it played flawlessly. I had no problems whatsoever. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yikes!
Wakka wakka 😜
Hey everyone. This week I've finished Shadow Labyrinth on my S2.
I really enjoyed it until the end when it becomes a boss rush game. Ruined all the hard work they did with the main game. Really loved the Pacman, Galaxian and Dig Dug sections.
Also played more Cyberpunk on my S2 as well. Loving it.
Getting through Legend of Tianding on my S1.
Love the combat.
Started Chronicle's of the Wolf or what I like to call Castlevania of the Wolf.
Love the old school vibes.
Hey everyone.
This week I've been playing some great games
Switch
The Legend of Tianding.
Really enjoying this game, some great art and the fighting is very satisfying. Good stuff.
Switch 2
Cyberpunk 2077. Absolutely getting right into this. The game has so much to see and do, I'm loving it.
Shadow Labyrinth. Secret Edition.
Playing this on Switch 2 as I heard it struggles on Switch. Plays beautifully on S2, buttery smooth and some great art and sound. I'm really enjoying it. I must be playing a different version from reviews because it plays perfectly on S2. It did have a big update before I could play it but I've encountered no hassles whatsoever so reviewers really need to revisit it. I bought the Switch version on cart and got the free S2 update.
Also had Chronicles of the Wolf and Pipistrello arrive this week as well so I'm looking forward to some great games.
Hey everyone. The last couple of weeks I finished Vigil: The Longest Night. Absolutely loved it.
Started Tevi, really enjoying it. It has a huge map with heaps of areas to explore.
Also grabbed DK Bananza so I'm looking forward to going bananas.
I have Shadow Labyrinth Secret Edition, Pipistrello and Chronicles of the Wolf on the way to me so I'll have plenty of games to play soon. You can never have too many games.

Terminator 2D CE and Teslagrad Power Pack CE for me.
Re: Nintendo To Acquire Bandai Namco Studios Singapore As A Subsidiary
A new 1080, Wave Race, F Zero, Exite Bike/Truck would be most welcome
Any racing title without Mario would be nice.
Re: Nintendo Debuts Two Metroid Prime 4 Ads As Eight-Year Wait Nears Its End
@AhabSpampurse
Yeah, I love a good Collector Edition and like you said, sadly they seem to be low on Nintendo's to do list.
Re: Nintendo Debuts Two Metroid Prime 4 Ads As Eight-Year Wait Nears Its End
8 years and no Collectors Edition!
Lazy Nintendo
Re: Shadow Labyrinth Version 1.1.0 Patch Notes Detailed, Switch 2 And Switch Update Coming Soon
I finished this game and really enjoyed it. Hoping for a sequel.
This is the best part of the update:
If defeated during the final battle against the last boss, you can now retry from the final battle!
Thank you. That was infuriating.
Re: Super Slick Roguelike 'The Rogue Prince Of Persia' Finally Dashes Onto Switch 2 Next Month
Grabbing the S1 physical since the S2 looks to be a GKC.
Then playing it on my S2.
Can't wait
Re: How Are You Finding Switch Game And App Compatibility On The Switch 2?
I played Moonscars on S2 as it ran poorly on the Switch.
It was a massive improvement.

Choice bro.
I'm proud that us Kiwis are working on this. Great for the local economy both now and in the future.
Re: Terminator 2D: No Fate Has Been Delayed Again On Switch
I've ordered the CE but I can wait.
I have a huge backlog anyway so it's not like I haven't got anything to play.

Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Receives Another Update, Here Are The Patch Notes
I prefer the prequel.
This just didn't click with me.
It feels like the genre moved on yet Silksong was determined not to.
Still enjoying it, but no where near as much as the original.
Re: Retro Zelda-Inspired Adventure 'Mina The Hollower' Has Been Delayed For Switch 2 And Switch
Eating too much cheese, obviously.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th September)
Hey everyone.
This week I've been playing Mandragora after my Collectors Edition arrived. Absolutely loving it.
Got to the second act of Silksong as well.
Also been playing Gal Guardians Servants of the Dark. I'm enjoying this more than the prequel.
Started Earth Atlantis, great shooter with some nice art.
Have a great weekend everyone
Re: Gallery: Unboxing Superdeluxe's Castlevania Advance And Dominus Collections On Switch
I have that exact same Dominus Collection on the way to me at the moment. Should be in my hands by the end of the week.
Can't wait
Btw, PnP Games have 8 left of the Advance collection if anyone is interested.
https://pnpgamesonline.com/product/castlevania-advance-collection-deluxe-edition-jpim-switch/
I have bought from them before and they're super quick and packaged extremely well and ship worldwide.
Good luck
Re: HORI's New Licensed Switch 2 Pad Brings A Pop Of Colour, But It's Missing Some Key Features
I don't use Amiibo, I always turn rumble off for longer battery use and I've never used the audio jack.
So this is ideal for me.
I own a few 3rd party Controllers for my Switch and the S2 won't be any different.

Shame the reviews for it on PC aren't the best. Average apparently.

Heaps of games for me.
I've got Silksong, then there's Silksong.
Followed closely by Silksong and maybe finish off with some Silksong.
That pretty much covers all the games this month............wait.........there were others?
Poor fools

Sorry if I confused you. My sense of humour is a little left field. 😁

It was a joke.
Maybe I should have put a lol at the end or a smiley face.
Nintendo defence club are out in force. 😜
That was another joke, just in case you missed it😜
So was that 😁

@ancientlii
Glad I'm not the only one.
I was scratching my head asking myself "is this spot the difference because I can't see any?"
I don't like buying games twice and I can't see the need to with most of these "upgrades".
I'm glad others are happy to but for me, I like new games with my new console.
Re: Atari Acquires IP Rights To Five Ubisoft Games, Including 2011's 'Child Of Eden'

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (16th August)

The Legend of Tianding.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (9th August)
@sketchturner
I agree
I'm finding it very enjoyable.
It is an under rated game that's for sure.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (9th August)
Hey everyone.
This week I've been swapping between a few consoles.
Evercade
Cathedral. Love the old school style.
Switch
Finished Endless Memories, an average Metroidvania.
Started The Legend of Tianding. Really enjoying it, nice art.
Switch 2
Cyberpunk 2077. Getting further, absolutely loving it and it looks fantastic on my 4K gaming TV.
DK Bananza. Lots of fun so far.
PS4
On the last boss of Callisto Protocol, what a great game. Some amazing atmosphere.
PS1
Medal of Honor, love this game.
N64
Tonic Trouble.
Really like this game. Very enjoyable, looks great too.
Having a great gaming week
Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (2nd August)
Hey everyone.
The last couple of weeks I've finished Tevi on my Switch.
Really enjoyed it, great exploration Metroidvania.
This week I've been playing numerous games.
Switch:
Endless Memories
A good Metroidvania that has some great ideas but does nothing new.
Switch 2:
DK Bananza
Loving it.
Cyberpunk 2077
I'll probably finish this game by 2077.
PS4:
Callisto Protocol
Love the atmosphere and I absolutely loved the Dead Space series so this was a no brainer.
So many great games in my backlog atm.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Re: Nintendo Highlights Multiple Switch 2 And Switch Games Launching In August 2025
Only Shinobi for me and since I ordered the physical edition though LRG I won't see it until the end of the year.
Nothing on that list interests me at all otherwise. Good time to clear the backlog
