It's the same every new generation. The people who loved whatever they grew up with, hate the new stuff. I've personally seen it ever since gen 3(gen 2 seem to get some slack for being the immediate sequels, and not yet "being a part of the pattern). "It's repetetive," "the new designs are horrible," "it's RPGs for kids" have been repeated for every generation since.
To me, the only right out bad games were Sword and Shield. It had no imagination whatsoever, story did not make sense at all and trying to make kaiju Pokemon was just a bad mechanic. And saying that Arceus tried something new, but not ZA is straight up dumb.

This is a friendly reminder that Phil Spencer in an internal email stated taht it would be in Nintendo's best interest to be bought by Microsoft.

@JohnnyMind Honestly, the first time I played the game, it was a half pipe that made me give up. I was also very young, but it felt very different from teh rest of teh game in that it didn't immediately click.

@johnedwin That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works. There are far more factors at play. Time release, the general consumer economy, how Switch 2 install base, the age of the OG Switch...

I was looking forward to this as a cozy Christmas game. Oh well, I guess I'll spend it with Samus instead.

@Clammy by this time Switch 1 had Zelda, Arms, 1-2 Switch and an old Mario Kart(sold at full price that people now suddenly dislike).
The line ups are not too disimilar.

@Anti-Matter This is for multiplayer competition. It has always been presented as such. It's good to pull that to a standalone game so that that you don't need the main games to play in tournaments.

First of all, he is not purple, it's bright pink. Second, his belt is yellow. Third, he has both yellow and brown on the sprite that could easily have been used for the color of the hair had they wanted.
It is a very much intentional decision. He also has brown hair in the manual. It's not as dark as previous, but it is brown, with Zelda being much more blonde.

@VoidofLight I find it funny how people think that the color of the protagonist in such a high profile game is somehow a "mistake"
Anyways, where did you get the idea that he was supposed to be blond when he in all accompanying media clearly had brown hair? He also cleraly had brown hair in Zelda II.

1. If Vietnam lower their tariffs, it doesn't mean anything for US imports. It's the US that needs to lower their.
2. He stated that tariffs AREN'T factored into the price. Which means they won't be lowered, only raised by a by changes. Unless someone puts negative tariffs on any goods for some reason.

Where I'm from games are already $100 (looking at you Monster Hunter.) The prices had to rise eventually, but I'm surprised they dared to put it at $80. I do like that it let indies be more flexible witht heir pricing though.
