@dew12333 "(...)Modest For The Industry" It's right there in the title. And if you read the article too, you can even see the comparisons. I highly recommend it!
I took a look now and it seems to have little, if any at at all of that kind of stuff. But I guess a forum like that easy an easy target for brigading.
The way the foam works looks like they wanted to have a "Splatoon, but slightly different" and ended up with a mechanic that literally just gets in the way of the fun.
@RetroGames ...what? Haha, you tell me I'm wrong, and then show a lot of arguments against things I never said? Though a quick glance at the comments tells me you have a weird relationship with that movie. Cheers mate.
@BaldBelper78 They will go through the deal, how it is laid out in terms of payment, revenue, and all kinds of business stuff, so that they can know if it is all optics from Microsoft's side, or if it in fact is a proper deal and that it won't be bad for consumers if Microsoft get to buy Activision. Whether or not Nintendo makes a new platform or not is likely going to be irrelevant as of that testimony.
@Zulzar You are replying to someone who has one comment on articles not related to this publisher. I think it's safe to say that you won't change their mind.
It's interesting to see people go into guides and articles about a game they don't enjoy or haven't played, just to say that they don't like it. Okay. Meanwhile, I'm just wondering if British cod3es will work for non-British consoles. I doubt the eShop cards will.
@progx maybe you should read what I'm actually writing instead of just assuming things? You know how to read, right? I never said I'm okay with that.
I'm just pointing out (most of) Nintendo's devs are in Japan. Salaries will continue to increase in Japan. Eventually they will have to increase the prices to sustain it. The only way to not increase the price is to not increase their salaries. Are you okay with that?
@progx I never said anything one way or another, just stated facts. Games are more expensive to make because people get more paid. But please keep insulting people based on absolutely nothing.
I might add that Nintendo (of Japan) hasn't laid anyone off, but instead increased salaries with 10%.
@MontyCircus where does it say that all Microsoft games are coming to Nintendo? Everywhere I look just refer back to this tweet, which says "Microsoft games," which is nonspecific. Microsoft games are already on Switch, with things like Minecraft and Ori.
@romanista They can make deals that would go into effect when/if the purchase go through. All they need is a clause that requires the purchase to go through.
@Olliemar28 This is exactly why they are doing this. They see lawmakers crack down on mergers more than in previous years and try to look good to people who has no idea.
Well, when I see the changes side by side, the door thing at least seem to be decent change. There are less shadows due to the upgrade in lighting and textures, and with the old doors they could have easily blended into the environment.
@nhSnork people definitely would if they were in the same situation. Especially now, knowing that it works. Which then again might make the people in front do it as a precaution for people sneaking up from behind.
@Maxz this is very much a game where you can talk graphics/performance vs gameplay. The gameplay I would say is the best in the series so far, and I enjoy just being in the world, exploring and finding Pokemon in the wild. The graphics are lackluster, the performance poor, and it has some (not many compared to other open world games) weird bugs.
Performance aside, it's a much better game than Sword/Shield. There is a world to explore, the gameplay loop is better, and it has much more ideas that it plays with.
"Pokemon S/V also surpassed the first 3 days of sales made by any Pokemon game on Switch with only pre-orders." I feel stupid. I can't get that info from the graphs they provide. And the number are all in the thousands, which means nothing for these games.
Also, from another tweet in the thread: "COMG is a chain of 14 video game stores located in Niigata prefecture (Japan). Together they have a 0.1% marketshare and are generally representative of the japanese market." How is 0.1% in any way representative? What am I missing?

Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Had No Deadline During Its Prototype Phase
@theModestMouse Oh, they very much enjoy games with sexual content, even if they legitimetely think "one hand mode" is an accessibility feature.
Re: Vampire Survivors Tops The Switch eShop Charts In US, UK & Japan
@Captain_Toad Me, I don't have time for such an addictive game atm.
Re: "DS Inspired" Precision Puzzler Reflectile Targeting Switch Release
The graphics look...noisy.
Re: Pokémon World Championships Disqualifies Scarlet And Violet Pros Using Hacked Monsters
It would be nice to have an item to zero out IVs. Other than that, you can pretty much do anything else in the games.

Re: Nintendo 2023 Annual Report Reveals Director Salaries Are Still Modest For The Industry
@dew12333 It doesn't say that it is modest. It says that it is modest compared to similar positions. There is a difference.

@iDidSomething No. Reviews are inherently subjective.
Re: The FTC Doesn't Seem To Think Switch Is A Serious PlayStation & Xbox Competitor
"Back in April of this year, UK's CMA suggested the Switch was not "technically capable" of running Call of Duty games"
That's not what they said. They said it's not capable at running with the same performance as the competitors, which by all accounts are true.
Re: The Next Scarlet & Violet TCG Expansion Is A Throwback To The Original 151 Pokémon
This is notably the first time they can do ALL 151 in 20 years, thanks to Kadabra finally being out of jail.
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Developer Retro Studios Is Hiring New Talent
@PikaPhantom Yep. This is nothing new. If the game were to release in October, they would still be hiring. Standard game studio stuff.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Fans Needn't Lose Sleep Over Foamstars, Square Enix's 'Splatoon Rip-Off'

Re: Mario Movie Surpasses Disney's Animated Hit Frozen At The Box Office
@Arawn93 You're wrong. Only four of the remakes has beaten the 1B mark. TLM also beat Aladdin's opening numbers in the US. It's going to do just fine.
Re: Charity Pokémon Concert To Be Held In Japan With Global Livestream

Nintendo's salaries are increasing, even though American salaries aren't. So a price increase is inevitable.
