@FishyS There are many people making distinctions between roguelikes and roguelites, the latter having a meta game progression, just like Dead Cells did.

No. Just no. Reviews are inherently subjective. You cannot measure "fun" on an objective scale.

The Atelier games really went on sale in only parts of Europe. Wtf. The rest of us only get discount on the remake.

People know that these numbers are for physical, right? And that digital is the vast majority of sales on PS5, unlike the Switch?

@Truegamer79 since the Wii/360/PS3 it's been going for at least 6 years, with Wii U being an exception for having such poor performance.

@HeadPirate I'm also pretty sure that it isn't PEGI that pulled the game from the store, but they changed the rating, and Nintendo pulled it.

And this is why having a policy of writing "we" in reviews is bad and leads to confusion.

My guess is that we'll see one new Switch game. Maybe two if they show some kind of remake of gen 2 or 5.

@NintendoWife They are advising on where people should put their money. If you put your savings into stocks you either want the stock to grow or dividents to be paid, otherwise you would be better off having it in the bank and take the interest.
Like the system or not, but it is their job to look at where money will be better spent.

Oh my god! Someone is testing the game as they develop it! Maybe they even have 3D modellers and game designers on staff too!

@boatie It is a fun story, but I don't remember the details. Basically they made a partnership with Nintendo by pretending to be a big company, when they both were rather small, and maintained the relationship since. So Scandinavians got NES before the rest of Europe as a consequence.

It's also worth noting that Thunderful merged with Bergsala, the exclusive distributor for Nintendo stuff in Scandinavia (and the only place where Nintendo doesn't have distribute themselves, or through a subsidiary.)

@riccyjay I believe what you are missing is the word next to the score that says "average". I know it's a low score, but I've seen lower, and based on the review it's hard to tell how this game could be scored any lower aside from making the Switch jump out of the dock and physically assault the writer.

How can something with "horrible graphics" that "can be moderately fun" considered "average"? Am I missing something?

I hope it sells so if only for Ubisoft to realize that not all games have to be 100+ hours

It would make sense for Nintendo to cooperate with one of it's longest partnerships on an actual game.

@Not_Soos Namco did make Starfox Assault. Which definitely was a game.

I get the sentiment that people talk about TotK vs BotW. I've come to realize they are way more different than I expected. BotW is more open from the get go, and has a calm sense of exploration, whole TotK is so stuffed with things to do that you can barely go anywhere without running into someone or something. BotW was a more meditativ game for me, while TotK is non-stop puzzles and quests. It is a bit more tiresome, but also fun in a different way.

@roboshort Not only is it run differently. NOA is primarily a localization and marketing house, and have very little involvement in the making of games in general.
