Why is the game named after a digimon?

It's hard to tell which ones of these are fake and which aren't. Some people really do weird/messed up stuff, and a lot of them spend much time on Reddit. But there is also obvious karma farmers, so you never know.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but this does not look like what I'd want from a game in that world.

I get it. It was nice having something else to think about, though.

People saying this is to be expected should know that there are hobbyists out there who has made better emulators for Switch, before this expansion was announced.

Played it with my wife and loved it. Can't wait to play the new one.

If this is true, it might be an indicator why the sentence is so long. Not just "some piracy"

Kickstarter are rarely used to actually fund games. Do the developers get some funds? Yeah, but I can't think of a single game that was funded purely through it. Now it's more of a community building/marketing tool (for video games that is).

@Arawn93 If you play well enough, Navi is not much of a nuisance, while Fi rarely let you try anything before giving an instruction camouflaged as a hint.

It is basically the same as making fan animations where you shoot Pokemon and put it on YouTube. I doubt Nintendo wants that coming up in a search when people try to find videos of Arceus.

@Ventilator This isn't the same game, it's a remake. There was nothing in 3D in the original title. They also kept all the best ones, and went from topdown to fully 3D racing.
That being said, the asking price is a bit steep.

I'm pretty sure if you buy Seven Pirates, you end up on a list somewhere.

@mereel Monster Games made a racing game just last year.

@Longondo Lego is usually a little more expensive than other toys in general, as they make sure the quality of the bricks are up to a certain standard, and they don't use cheap manufacturing facilities in 3rd world countries to drive down the price.

@jamesthemagi You can't compare the filesize to the original at all. 2D lowres sprites vs 3D models with HD textures are two different worlds. It wouldn't surprise me if there is a single texture that in the remakes that takes more space than the whole original game.
Technically the games are nothing alike. Game design does not take space, tech does.

@Viichan Uhm, yeah, that is not the same. The original is to the side, more under her shoulders and emphasize her ribs, and does not look like it's squeezed together by the red plate, which actually looks like a plate in the original.

The red looks like a sports bra a few sizes too small

@mercilessrobot maybe he has a lot of things in stock still? Or the markup isn't that much, or he buys things from scalpers and wait for the price to increase.
Or he reinvested. If you have a card, sell it for $10, buy a card for $10 and sell it for $15, you have $25 revenue, but less than $15 profit.

@nessisonett to be pedantic, you could say that 'British slang' is an umbrella term for slang in Britain. So if you were to do a paper on the difference between Cockney, Scouse, Mancunian, etc. slang, you could say you are doing a paper on British slang, because they are all in Britain

The length is honestly a plus for me. A game I will actually have enough time to finish.

@AnnoyingFrenzy I can see what you mean. I did feel partially the same way, but at the same time, the fact that you care about the characters it what makes it work so well.

The whole "you did this to these characters" would not have worked if they were just some superficial cardboard cutouts.

That being said, I would totally just play a game where I had explored this characters in a more standard way. It makes me think about getting into visual novels.

If anything, this made me realize how tall Samus actually is for her proportions to make sense.

Almost every hidden gem list I have read has Stardew Valley on top, so you should probably mention it. I know it's extremely obscure, but you give it a try.

@Mountain_Man If you spend $300mill and make $450mill, that's not "barely break even" that's a return of investment of 50%. It's like a low income Marvel movie.

I tried Control and the performance was... not good. I'd rather pick it up on PC

Ranking by revenue would heavily favour AAA titles. I think a better solution would be that based on unit sales, but if your game is on sale, each unit will count as much as the percentage the customer pays.
Let's say you have a 99% sale. The each unit sold now counts 1% of a regular unit, meaning you will have to sell 100 times the unit to count as a regular sale.
That way you can still have small titles chart, but it's harder to game the system.
