@SeafTheFissh as someone who only played XD, it took me years to find out that it was a sequel. I just thought about the instances of "5 years ago" of some kind of exposition. The story is fairly self contained.

People here doesn't seem to know much about investment funds. It is entirely possible, and most likely that this is just an investment. This is not a large sum of money from their perspective. If they wanted all of Capcom, they would have bought it. They just bought EA valued at much more. It's still icky, but likely nothing. They've had quite the stake in Nintendo (7.5% ish) for a while now. (The Norwegian investment fund also held a small stake for a while.)

I wonder how they count this. Does purchasing an upgrade count as a game sold? I so, would it count as a copy sold on each platform, since you have to buy the Switch version in order to upgrade? And if not, it would be kind of misleading for the stats as well.
Personally I bough MP4 for Switch with a voucher and then upgraded it, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people did the same.

@ThatOneLevel it is very different to have cutscenes in a story game censored than having a boob slider removed that I wouldn't have used anyway. If you don't see the difference, then I don't know what to tell you.

@tabris95 they already had the toggle, the switch version just doesn't let you turn it off. It's basically just an if statement in the code

It will always be funny to me that some people are fine with mutilation and war crimes, but this game somehow triggers them.

@GrailUK my biggest issue is that it took them so long to make a game with a seemingly small scope.

I find the whole debate about have offices riding a bit funny. Where I am, the prices had increased with inflation for some time now. PS5 titles are way more expensive than Nintendo, closer to $100 where as Nintendo is around $80. Somehow people still find a way to complain about Nintendo here...

I would be surprised if Nintendo mandated it, considering how many softcore hentai games on there show much worse.

I think a lot of people here have too high hopes for this. They are emphasizing the studios expertise in creating assets, specifically art and animation, and will likely be focusing on helping other games.

That's the case for a lot of the perceived difficulty. Very few instances did I run into something that was truly unfair in the game.

There is little, if anything, in that quote that suggest it is the most "ambitious" game they've made.

@ShadLink you can in a literal sense, yes. The fun thing about language is that there is a lot of implied meaning behind words and sentences.

@ShadLink if you have your own system, doesn't mean you can apply that system to everyone else. Nintendo Life had their own system. They say that a good game = 7. When they give it a 7 it means they say the game is good. They don't know about your system that you invented for yourself. They can't accommodate every little weirdo's own scale of score system. They have their own, and that's what they use.

I don't remember the last time I was tempted to get a physical version that wasn't a collector's edition or the likes. Impressive.
