I feel like a lot of indie darlings tend to be a bit overhyped because people have lower expectations to smaller teams. So when I tried Hyper Light Drifter I didn't have high expectations. Howver, wehn I played it, I couldn't put it down. It just felt so good, is perfectly paced, good looking and an has interesting world building.
@ZZalapski because Devolver reject them? Because this company might be a better fit for what they want to do? Because this company gives the creators more freedom? There are tons of reasons of why developers choose publishers. This one is still unproven. But to say that just any developer can go get a publisher like Deveolver is pretty ignorant.
@Octane what? Aonuma speaks about how Monolith helped them on different Zelda games. Earlier in the interview, he states that on one game they had help on the technical side, but on the other that he had help from level/world designers that had experience with creating large open areas. The latter part is the one I quoted. Nothing is implied, he says it outright.
@Octane Aonuma said in an interview: "(...)for Breath of the Wild, we’ve been assisted by level designers [from Monolith] used to large game areas, in order to make topographic arrangements."
I can pretty much agree with the list, yet gen 3 is the only one I haven't finished the main game or remake of. I guess a decent story only takes you so far...
If the Strikers gameplay is as solid as it usually is, then I'll get it for sure. You know Nintendo will keep updating the content, but the amount varies a lot from game to game. It's also interesting to see people comparing it to Smash Ultimate and MK8 that are basically ports of Wii U games with the DLC included, and more DLC added later.

One thing I miss, and that will most likely never recreated, was the mystical aura around Pokemon at the beginning. Game Freak hadn't yet figured out Pokemon, what it was, how the world works etc. and the anime, manga and games went into weird territory, exploring what it could be. At the same time people didn't have access to all the info instantly, there were myths about the games (Mew's truck, Pikablu). Now however, it seems as if they have established some kind of media guidelines behind the scenes, and will never directly depict Pokemon as food for instance, and the secrets of each game are on the internet within days of release, if not before people get their hands on them.
A lot of people in the comment section that just seem to hate fun.
On topic, I wonder i Game Freak ever have the English name in mind. Old interviews indicate that they don't, but I wouldn't fault Tree House for seeing the opportunity and grabbing it with both hands.
@RupeeClock Do you really think they didn't think of the legality of playing the card? They mark the copy with a ditto instead of a regulation mark. You only get the regulation mark when after peeling it off. So Ditto is the legal card, not the copy.
@QueenKittenWrite yes, they want fame. That's why most of them talk outwards anonymously. That makes sense, right? Or maybe, hear me out, they just want the workplace to be better, but the only way they get heard is when the media brings it up. But you're probably right. They want to be famous. That is the only reason why anyone ever create attention sounds something. Even anonymously.
My comment was removed because of unconstructive feedback. Well, it wasn't meant as feedback at all, so let me rephrase. We have next to no info on this case, and waaaaay too little to make a judgement on this case.
(I also said that it's good that labor issues are in the spotlight. However, I think articles with this little information simply water out the narrative)
@Fizza It's not nessecarily meant to fix those specific problems. There are advantages to having control over a bigger part of the supply chain, and if nothing else, probably a monetary value.
It was made to be the Pokemon MMO everyone "wanted," but didn't realize that people want a Pokemon themed proper big MMO, not a regular Pokemon game with other players running around in it.

Re: EA Announces "Long-Term" Marvel Deal For Consoles And PC
At least the word "exclusive" isn't in there.
Re: Poll: Bayonetta 3 Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
Not yet, because Nintendo relesed a 100 hour rpg this summer, and Pokemon in another few weeks, while my wife loves to play Mario + Rabbids together.
Re: A New Bayonetta 3 Report Features A Differing Account Of PlatinumGames’ VA Pay Offer
This time around the numbers at least have context.
Re: Talking Point: Which Animation Studios Should Tackle Nintendo's Other Franchises?
I wouldn't mind if Pokemon changed hands actually. At least for a seperate movie or something. Give us a high budget, cinematic release.
Re: Bayonetta's OG Voice Actor Asks Fans To "Boycott" Third Game After PlatinumGames Wage Fallout
Damn, I wish they'd kept her. I'm not sure if I will boycott the game, but this leaves a sour taste at the very least.

Re: Meet Iono, The Electric-Type Gym Leader From Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
@fenlix Doubt it. Just promotional stuff, and they explicitly said that the voices in the other trailers are not representative of the game.
