I miss the Nintendo Premium promotion. At least with that if you bought something under the cost of £4.50 you'd still get rewarded with building up to getting the £5 eshop code. With this one I've gotten many things and gotten nothing because they fall under the £4.50 minimum for the 10 gold points.
... Well, looks like I need to add some credit to my eshop account. (The lack of a gamepad-focused new Pokemon Snap game is one of the biggest travesties of the Wii U. It was the perfect console for it.)
I remember the good ol' days when The Daily Mail had a hate-on for anime, or 'sick Japanese kids cartoons' as they used to refer to the likes of Legend of the Overfiend, Violence Jack, and Devilman.
Some of the changes were baffling, the manner some were executed were half-baked at best (like Tsubasa's wedding dress outfit where they turned her skin white in places) and the way the Central Shibuya idolasphere's dungeon was changed away from gravure modelling gave that chapter a rather odd, inconsistent tone.
Especially when some of the changed outfits still turned up anyway in ad-lib performances, or the 'dark fire' covering up Aversa in cutscenes doesn't appear in in-game combat.
@OorWullie They use very basic courses when showing the mystery mushroom costumes in trailers to show things like swimming, ducking and their Up pose. They don't represent the actual event course.
Bayo's one of my favourite female characters in gaming, along with Alis and Alys from the Phantasy Star series, Blaze from Streets of Rage, and Zaki from Rival Schools.
The Bayonetta series are great games, great fun, and if some find them too sexy or it makes them uncomfortable? Too bad for them. For me it's cool to see a glasses-wearing character be so graceful and perfect in every move, considering my glasses would fly off and my bad knee would give way if I tried a fraction of her moves.
I got flashbacks to Level-5's Dark Cloud and Fantasy Life when watching it, and with that impressive resume (and Grezzo's work not only on the 3DS Zelda titles but their Streetpass Plaza games) it'll be a day one pick-up.
I'm disappointed that the menu for the private cafe isn't Hyrule Themed given there's cooking in the game. Where's the Hyrule Bass fillet, the Gerudo-style Cucco, the Magic Bean stew?
E3 2014 has a special place for me, seeing as I owned both a Wii U and a 3DS at that point, compared to only a 3DS in 2013 and being more of a PC MMO gamer in previous years with easier access to E3.
It was just bang bang bang game news. Here's a skit, here's a Smash Bros Skit, here's Sakurai with news. Here's Reggie, then a Yoshi's Woolly World bit. Then Captain Toad. Then a puppet skit and the first glimpse at Zelda U. Bayonetta 2 with 1 included. Pokemon AS/OR, Hyrule Warriors, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Palutena for Smash, glimpse at a new Star Fox.
@Damo Until I got my Game Boy Colour they were the only games I needed. Then I picked up Harvest Moon GBC, Power Quest, and a little game called Pokemon.
One birthday I got a Yellow Game Boy Pocket, along with Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, and Tetris, and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. My thumbs still click to this day from spending hours playing around on Koholint Island.
Sweet. They were also responsible for London Life in Professor Layton and the Last Specter, but you'll need to import a US version as it was removed from the European release.
Oh Brownie Brown, 1-UP Studio is not a delicious name for you.
I've had the days booked off work since I was able to, I've bought the snacks in, just need to sort out something to drink now. 2014 was great, 2015 was a big let-down on the Nintendo front, and I've got little enthusiasm for the Big N this year.
Hopefully Ubisoft will have some cringe, Microsoft and Sony might have something to tempt me, and I hear there's some Runbow news in the works. For Ninty I guess it's better to go in with "This'll be worse than 2015" expectations than to get "This'll be better than 2014!" whiplash.
Buying two copies of a game to keep one factory sealed is waste enough in my books, but paying to have it encased in a sarcophagus? Not in a million years.
I often say the only one that truly counts as 'toys to life' is LEGO, as they can be used in play with existing sets and have more motion. Amiibo are just collectable figures and don't even have a defining 'toys to life' game.
I'm sure the kids will go crazy for a niche JRPG with the Japanese entertainment industry as a background, definitely worth all the stupid, nonsensical changes they've been making.
I've had a bit of fatigue with Legends due to putting 200 hours into the Wii U version, and having to level up/unlock all over again. I wish there was a way to transfer such things into the 3DS one.
They've got a massive back catalogue that I'd love to see given the HD treatment. Auto Modellista, Tech Romancer, Onimusha, Plasma Sword, Power Stone, Project Justice... or even just re-releases like the Breath of Fire series.
It's an incredible snapshot of the 90s, from the Seinfeld box in the background and the soundtrack to the smoking. I love these training videos, like the Nintendo Support one dealing with customer returns and the infamous Wendy's 'Grill Skills' rap.
When the guy was using two lightguns with Virtua Cop, you could see on the screen that only player 1 had credits. That annoyed me even more than the rolling about shooting without anything plugged in.
Nintendo's localization changes have rather cooled my excitement for this game. I want the game with English subs, instead we're getting the game with English subs and lots of pointless, prudish changes made.
I try not to modify my consoles during their active life, but the main reason I tend to do so is for region-free gaming. Hopefully an exploit to do this with the N3DS will still be available once the handheld's updates are at an end.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse And 7th Dragon III Code: VFD Confirmed For Euro Winter 2016 Release
I'll be getting both if physical. It'll make a nice change seeing as we didn't get SMTIV physical.
Re: Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Has Been Delayed by Six Weeks
I'm just hoping we get a physical Wii U version here in the UK. Boxed Shantae would do me very nicely.

Re: Poll: The Nintendo NX - Where Do You Stand on the Future of Nintendo?
Games, features/design, price. Those are the three pillars that matter most to me when it comes to choosing to get a new system.
Re: Poll: Will You Still Be Playing Pokémon GO at the End of 2016?
Better rural mobile internet would help a lot. The devs can't do much about that, though.
Re: Weirdness: Shadow the Hedgehog is Rather Foul-Mouthed in Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympics
They're just giving us the authentic football experience.

Re: Poll: As The amiibo Collection Hits 100, What's The Current State of Play?
I'm just really waiting for the Bayonetta amiibo.
Hopefully the NX will have a game that actually uses them for something interesting.

I'd triple (for Dig) and double (for Heist) dip on a physical disc for the games.
