Atlus and Sega's publishing partnership with Deep Silver was confirmed a while back and came as incredibly positive news for European fans, as it means they should be getting access to all of the lovely RPGs produced by those two firms.
3DS titles Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse and 7th Dragon III Code: VFD were both confirmed as part of that news, but no release date was given. We can now report that these two RPG offerings will arrive in Europe before Christmas, so you can add them to your list for Santa if you so wish.
7th Dragon III Code: VFD is already available in North America, and you can read our review here. "With top-class character customization, a delightfully different combat system and a slick nature-futuristic style, 7th Dragon III Code: VFD is a fantastic addition to the 3DS' JRPG library," is what we said at the time of launch.
Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, on the other hand, is due for release in North America on September 20th - so European players aren't going to have to wait much longer for that.
Will you be picking either of these up? Let us know by posting a comment below.

I'll be getting both if physical. It'll make a nice change seeing as we didn't get SMTIV physical.
Sega Europe is stupid. Why can't they publish these games!
Happy to hear. SMT IV is a maybe if its out before Pokemon Sun / Moon, but I'll most definitely be picking up 7th Dragon III as I loved the demo.
Regarding 7th Dragon III, I don't know if it's the official date or just a place holder for now but the site I pre-ordered it on, Zavvi UK, has it listed for 1st October. Not getting my hopes up but that would certainly be awesome if so.
@AlphaJaguar What was the last game Sega published on the 3DS, or any Nintendo system for that matter? I think Nintendo publishes Sega's games on its consoles now.
Are these eshop only or retail?
Will get both physical !
Atlus has a huge space in my 3ds collection !
To those asking... I'd be 99% sure these are physical releases. Deep Silver taking all that time and money acquiring publishing rights too simply upload a rom to the eshop doesn't sound like a great idea.
SMT is going to be a physical edition as well as a digital edition, isn't it, unless I'm mistaken. That would be preferable for me, as my SD card is pretty much full.
I don't mind waiting, personally - I'll probably be looking at the new Phoenix Wright game in the mean time (again, I can't remember if it's digital only, although I'm inclined to believe it won't have the physical option). I haven't really looked into 7th Dragon though.
BTW, both of those videos are private (I imagine they've been that way for a while too - not since you posted the article 2 hours ago). What were they supposed to be?
Deep Silver has confirmed on multiple occasions that both gamea are getting a retail release. A godsend for everyone involved.
@edhe
I don't know the reason why the videos were changed that way, but they were just the E3 trailers for both games that have been around ever since... well, E3, only with the PEGI logo intro and the end screen showing both games with "winter 2016" release window. We're apparently getting the artbook that the US people got (although I think they are going to make it smaller since there apparently isn't going to be a special outer box like in the US), but not the pin set with SMT IV: Apocalypse.
Looking forward too SMT4 apocalypse when it drops.
7th Dragon, aw yes! Definitely going to pick this one up!
Now if only they could release SMT4 retail too... Pretty please.
Brilliant! Always wanted to play a 7th Dragon game.
Bless you Deep Silver. We promise to forget about MNO.9.
Both added to the Christmas 3DS wish list bonanza.
@Damo Sega of America published Dragon Code III: VFD. Plus, Sega of America announced that they are going to be handling publishing of Atlus developed games in the USA. I'm just dissapointed that Sega of Europe doesn't have faith in their own franchises...
