The My Nintendo rewards page has been updated again, this time with new clothing and a couple of handsome discounts.
If you're willing to part with some gold points then you can get 40 percent off Xenoblade Chronicles X (140 points) and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D (110 points).
Should you be more interested in dressing up your Mii, then a new Vegas Entertainer suit is available, allowing you to mimic Elvis to your heart's content. There are also Monster Paw slippers and - perhaps most interesting of all - a Super Nintendo T-shirt. Each of these cost 200 Platinum points.

Rubbish!
Is that it?
Shame that the Wii version of Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii U eShop isn't an option.
Already got the Xenoblade games but if you don't have them then treat yourself
I want more things like WarioWare.
That was a step in the right direction.
@Tsurii Noticed that, lol. My comment was full of alot of stupid things, so I deleted it, hehe.
I guess overall, not really any good deals, as usual.
That WarioWare reward was great, can we get more rewards like that one?
For a second, I thought it was A REAL t-shirt that we could order.
But it's for the miis...
i just downloaded the wii XC for my wii u from the eshop... and you can use the gamepad! (and i dont remember NL mentioning it at all)
also, the eshop lists english as the only language option, but there is also spanish text and japanese voiceover...does anyone know if thats the case with XCX? (so i can give the unopened disc to my son)
@BensonUii I wouldn't call a 40% discount on XCX a steal when you have to spend between £75 and £80 on the eShop to have the necessary 140 gold coins. Easy if you are digital only but a pain otherwise.
I was really hoping for a 20% discount on another of the Wii U selects titles, mainly looking for Lego City Undercover.
So much for this great new reward system we waited all this time for. I blame all of us Nintendo gamers for even thinking it would be worth the wait. And the Nintendo hype put out by the Nintendo media.
I remember the days when you could get a REAL Super Nintendo shirt with reward points...
Oh. I thought you meant an actual shirt.
Garbage
I was anticipating new rewards as the 50% off of Mario and Donkey Kong just expired... that was only 30 Gold coins, so I'm glad I decided to get it.
But let's just be honest, this rewards program isn't very good.
So, if I spend about £70 on the eShop to get the 110 gold coins, I'll be 'rewarded' with a 40% discount on a game I likely already own. That seems like a lot for a little. There just aren't enough options here at all... and the Miitomo stuff just makes me cringe. I'd be surprised if they even had 100 people download outfits.
That's a lot of points to get a discount on a game (XBC) that is overpriced to begin with. Granted, the resulting price is cheaper than other stores (for new), but that 140 gold points have more bang for buck elsewhere. I'm seeing £25 for pre-owned on that which is 50% off Nintendo's RRP and you don't sacrifice Gold Points.
Those don't interest me. I already have the Xenoblades, and I don't think mii outfits are worth spending points on.
More games or a xenoblade theme please. I don't care about miitomo rewards I'm in it for the good stuff
How about "Buy the Wii U version, get 75% off the 3DS version?" THAT would be an offer... Like they did with Bayonetta, where 1 and 2 went for $60, which would actually be a fair price for Bayonetta 2 alone...
Nintendo has to be more aggressive, they really need to learn from Steam, or even PSN/XBL, when it comes do the digital...
@BensonUii I'm just speaking hypothetically. You need to spend a lot of money to get rewarded with a discount, even then, you're likely already going to have the games on offer, as there aren't many. There needs to be more options with greater discounts.
@gatoburger
XCX only has english voices, and has three options for subs - english, spanish and french. You have to have your console's language set to spanish or french if you want to use those subs.
Very underwhelmed by My Nintendo so far. This new batch does nothing to change that.
@Damo You forgot to mention that the Xenoblade discounts ARE NOT available in NA. Come on, Nintendo!!!
@LegendOfPokemon
Oh so thats why no such offers would show while i refreshed the page every 20 minutes
There needs to be more Platinum stuff.
@ReshiramZekrom As soon as WarioWare expires, yes.
yeh I agree with others we need more game downloads like warioware! if they can do DS titles with ease surely they should be offering more? or even put them on the eshop
@Sakuraichu You can hardly call it a step if it was something the service launched with...
Rip my Nintendo.
I buy physical and pre owned so no gold points for me plus I get nothing for indie games.
I am lucky I have a lot of games but I guess Nintendo want people to be buying digital so they part own it
Can't recommend Xenoblade Chronicles highly enough!
@Sakuraichu yes like new super bros.ds
I remember when people was hoping that the new my nintendo rewards would rival the discounts being given on other platforms... Those were the days
Awesome, finally a game that I don't have but want to play (Xenoblade Chronicles 3D) available on My Nintendo.
At least that what I love to say if it was available in NA
@andrew20 @ReshiramZekrom Totally agree.
As usual, people are small and narrow-minded and cannot open themselves up to the bigger picture when it comes to value proposition.
It's the exact same thing with Amiibo. Whenever any Amiibo functionality is announced people say the same thing "I'm supposed to spend £11 for <insert small feature>?" (though they usually sound more whiny and entitled). Firstly, you're not required to spend any money. Secondly, the Amiibo offers more functionality outside of that one game. Thirdly, you aren't expected to buy an Amiibo for that one game either.
The same kind of thing is happening with My Nintendo. "They want us to spend £70 to earn a 40% discount? What a rip-off". THAT'S OBVIOUSLY NOT THE CASE. I can't believe that people can't see that the point of the system is that if you want to spend money on digital purchases for games that you WANT TO BUY, then you also get extra reward points. That way, it actually feels like a reward, because you're not buying games just for the reward points, which is STUPID BY THE WAY (unless it's on a massive discount). Nintendo aren't asking you to spend £70 to get a small discount, they want you to spend £70 on games and then get £16 off another game IF YOU WANT (that's a better value proposition than the Digital Deluxe Promotion btw, but much more specific ofc).
This is not to say there aren't problems with My Nintendo. There are plenty. You should be rewarded for physical purchases. You should be rewarded for DLC purchases. You should be rewarded for buying NES games and other cheap items. The rewards need to be updated more frequently and not just when other rewards expire. The discounts need to be for larger percentages also, about 10% more across the board.
People need to start complaining about the right things more often, instead of complaining about value for a FREE REWARD SERVICE.
Going digital only on consoles is like opening your wallet and saying "help yourself".
Could have swore it was an actual t-shirt, huh go figure. but that XC discount is a steal for my wallet, thank you.
@Moon yeah its weird to spend $40 to get a $10 discount. If only you got a $40 game with those $40...
oh wait
@Kid_Sickarus Or its like buying games that will never be lost, broken, or damaged. $110 copy of Xenoblade Wii fell to the floor, and chipped? Welp, guess you're out $110.
$20 download of Xenoblade 3DS got deleted or SD card stolen? Meh, just redownload it from the cloud or copy paste your last SD card backup. Takes 2 minutes, all save files restored.
Buying physical is like opening your wallet and saying "man i hope this disk doesn't get bumped too hard or dropped or looked at funny, or my niece doesnt step on it, cuz if so i'll be back here tomorrow buying it again!"
@BensonUii Point taken. For new owners of a 3DS this is probably worthwhile, especially if you're adamant on going digital.
You could still pick up the games cheaper physically though.
@russellohh I'm just saying you've got to spend a lot of money to get a discount on a game. It wouldn't be so bad if there were discounts on more than a handful of games, and they didn't require you to have so many gold coins.
I don't even have the discounts nor the theme in my rewards thing. I have all the new Miitomo stuff though. Is this just not an America thing?
More cringeworthy Nintendo news. My Nintendo is a complete waste unless you care about Miitomo.
Hoping some day we can exchange gold points for eShop credit.
My Nintendo has been really disappointing and I felt like there was such a build up to it. I am loving the Zelda Picross though but we need more virutal console games on the list, I can't see VC games selling all that well anyway so why not?
I already have XCX and need to actually start playing the game at some point but I keep going back to Splatoon.
Anyone else finding My Nintendo to be a disincentive to buy games? I pick most Nintendo games up digitally and tend to already have the ones on discount. I now find myself holding off buying games at full price in case there'll be a discount offer I can use some of the gold coins up on.
If it was actually personalised to give offers on games you don't have it would be great but right now, compared with Club Nintendo and the Wii U premium points, you get less reward for buying more games!
I just realy hope they add much more interesting incentives in July, when these rather lukewarm deals expire. Another downloadable DS game would be fantastic. Heck maybe more than just one?
I would definitely love to play Super Mario 64 DS or New Super Mario Bros. My platinum points are just fermenting
Those moments when you slightly even begin to miss the Club Nintendo calendars.......
@russellohh lol, touché. Except I have a massive steam library so I'm already aware of the benefits of digital. My point was that in a largely closed ecosystem of console digital sales prices are too easily controlled by the retailer (in the absence of meaningful competition).
Fortunately, in the absence of rampaging nieces my hard copy games have all survived perfectly intact.
I would prefer a general 20% off as opposed to a 20% off of a games I already have.
@Kid_Sickarus eShop cards, however, have to stay competitive. I've picked them up for $5 for a $10 on a real sale, and $5 for a $20 eShop card by abusing a trade in offer.
Still waiting for the Bravely Second theme in the NA My Nintendo.
Seems like physical rewards are gone for good with myNintendo. Really sad.
A Super Nintendo TShirt .. great ... digital for the Mii Character? MUAHAHAHAHA ... its like reading some aprils fools joke.
Following this tremendously generous reward, how about you offer some "food" rewards for the Mii next time? Like for 200 useless points, you can buy a hamburger that you can feed it digitally to your Mii .. hahahah
The reward-update section is truly the stand-up comedy section here.
Seems my platinum coins will keep on stacking.
@Sakuraichu That does expire next month, so hopefully another DS game that's not too hard on the DSiWare blocks (Since the 3DS treats them as DSiWare software, so its saved in the same place.) to replace Warioware?
@russellohh I'll have to keep an eye out for a deal 😜
I miss Club Nintendo so much.
Thought this was for NA at first...
I would prefer it if the region was also mentioned. (I know the pocket football is on there, but didn't notice it at first)
Doesn't look like NA's/Japan's have been updated yet.
Since I haven't played a Xenoblade game before, I would be very interested in giving one of them a try sometime.
When is NA ever going to get an update? After our coins expire? Maybe that is why they are only good for 6 months, so they reset when we get new rewards.
some unrelated good news is that the wii u got the best platinum game ever, whereas the platinum game it didn't get was their worst.
Tfw you realize that Club Nintendo was somehow better than this garbage... You know you screwed up when people are saying "Club Nintendo was way better!"
@feelinsupersonic what?
Hard to get excited for gold coin discounts considering you need to be quite the digital spender to be able to get them.
So as bad as My Nintendo is, NoA still finds a way to make it worse. No Bravely Second theme and now no Cenoblade discounts. I'm not particularly interested in the latter but come on NoA!
I expected a real tshirt....
Strange, I'm not seeing either of the Xenoblade discounts on my end (I am however seeing the new Miitomo gear) .
@nono6400 it may not be 'free', but you can find that shirt design here:
https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/150565-super-milkbone-usa
And are these XB discounts Europe-only? They don't show up on the North American side that I can see...(the SNES shirt and other clothing are, but no discounts on games).
You can probably find the 3DS game at that price already, given that it's a discount of the full price download.
Xenoblade X is an absolute bargain though. Get it everyone!!! Awesome game.
These deals make no sense discount vs. coins wise. Sometimes it's 90 points for 40% off. Sometimes it's 100 points. Sometimes 110. Now it's 140?
Nintendo can't even make their half-baked reward system equal...
Why does my Mii get all the cool stuff?
I was hoping for another DS game, but oh well. I'll just keep saving.
@shinesprite Yeah, same here, I'm not seeing the Xenoblade discounts either. I want to see how much damage it is to get XCX 40% off. What gives?
The Super Nintendo T-Shirt caught my interest until I saw that it was for Miitomo.
Pretty naff. Need more stuff like Zelda Picross and Warioware. Never mind, sigh, I'll just keep saving the points
Real rewards when? Miitomo outfits and way too expensive discounts just won't cut it. The WarioWare and Picross rewards were great, and the home menu themes are okay, but that's all we got so far.
Locking people out of gold coins because of physical purchases really sucks and I hope Nintendo addresses that.
@alasdair91 I think the discount prices are roughly supposed to correspond to the 'savings' you'd get compared to downloading them at full price. (IE $1 off~8 gold~100 platinum)
That's a sizeable discount. I find the 15% ones pretty much not worth it, granted those are with platinum coins, but still.
checks page, hasn't changed at all still, sighs -.-
@Iggly Wait no more, because it's already there.
I WAS MISLEAD! I thought it was a physical shirt! I was so excited, man...
@Thermoclorn just saying that there were a lot of good games that skipped the wii u. fortunately we got bayonetta 2 at least, while ps4 got platinum's worst game ever, ninja turtles
The whole gold idea is just silly. When am I ever going to get 80+ gold points? Never, because I buy $60 games physically and when I buy digitally I buy things like VC releases which are less than $10.
Where's the real psychical rewards?
I'm on NA, only new thing that showed up for me was a Bravely Second Theme, no new discounts or anything. According to the dates, my discounts are valid until July, so I'm wondering if there will be no rotation on then this month for me
I've been meaning to give XC a try, so this is great news to me! ^-^
@feelinsupersonic Oh, good point!
@allav866 Thanks for the heads up, didn't think we'd get it today since the page didn't initially have the theme when it got the new rewards.
@Damo In NA, the Bravely Second theme is new rather than the Xenoblade discounts. You should probably update the article.
@sinalefa
Yes.
Exchange for eShop credit. Nailed it. That's exactly what My Nintendo needs
Yup garbage as usual carry on........
Is this available in NA?
Rubbish!!!!!(I'll wait until next month)
@Luna_110 thank you very much. my son will actually have time to play...
A t-shirt?! Oh...
@Ikramali it has an points redemption system so you never know..
(personally I hope its quick, the Club Nintendo points aren't transferable to My Nintendo)
I got a 2TB beast for my Wii U, so Xenoblade is definitely up my alley. I already own Metroid Prime trilogy...
