During its appearance on the YouTube@E3 show Nintendo focused on some exciting Nindie games on the way to the eShop later this year. Four releases were covered in total, covering 3DS, New 3DS and Wii U.
The main reveal was arguably Runbow Pocket, which will be a New 3DS exclusive later this year. It includes the same content you find on the Wii U, but has undergone tweaks to the user interface and looks rather good on the portable. In addition there'll be deluxe editions at retail of both Pocket on New 3DS and Runbow on Wii U, which will include all DLC and some extra goodies. Finally, Shantae is coming to the game as a free character in both versions.
Drinkbox Studio's SEVERED was also announced, and it's coming as a cross-buy eShop title on both Wii U and 3DS. Released on Vita recently it's focused on touch controls, so will naturally suit the 3DS and Wii U GamePad rather nicely.
Nintendo also showcased Axiom Verge and Jotun: Valhalla Edition in its segment, both previously announced for the Wii U eShop.
Stay tuned to Nintendo Life, meanwhile, as we have feature content on all of these titles on the way in the coming hours.

More than anything I feel bad for the guys who got held up by ubi.
Other than Axiom nothing exciting.
The second physical N3DS exclusive is a Nindie? It's a good game, but I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I have severed on the Vita...
Runbow would sit nicely besides Shovel Knight, Shantae,Teslagrad and (hopefully) FAST Racing Neo on my Wii U shelf.
I was hoping for a reel featuring a bunch of unannounced Nindies, and some Yooka-Laylee, but Severed was a great announcement, and Jotun and Axiom Verge both look great. I already have Runbow, but those other three are definitely on my list.
That's great and all but I still won't Runbow Pocket if it's not discounted for people that own the Wii U version.
Poor Vita can't hold on to any exclusives.
@TrueWiiMaster I believe that's for the Treehouse 2 days from now.
Jotun looks great. Will need to check out Severed.
I'll double dip for a physical Runbow copy for my Wii U. Already made a space for it on the shelf.
Love all these games!

"Other than Axiom nothing exciting"
You're joking, right?
I have Severed on Vita and it's easily as great if not greater than Guacamelee. Just excellent, really really excellent. And it's coming to both Wii U and 3DS? As crossbuy? That's exciting, I'm sorry.
And Runbow coming to New 3DS? That's also exciting.
In fact, as much as I love Axiom Verge, I'd say it was the least exciting indie announcement. We've known it was coming to Wii U for some time anyways.
wait exclusive content for physical buyers? why?
I got it from the Nindie bundle... do I have to rebuy? lol
So now there's 3 n3ds exclusives, being 2 of them indies. Cool I guess.
@televisions not a fan of severed's art style and I already have Runbow. Never really clicked for me, sadly.
I also have the Old 3DS. I suppose I should upgrade (really wasn't much of an incentive til I experienced some frames dropping on the new Kirby game), but I never really felt like I should've had to. My old 3DS has otherwise held up real well and I'm divided as to whether i should dump cash on that or save for the NX (which I've got mixed feelings about as I've got the sinking feeling that it'll be the underpowered console again now that the Scorpion and Neo are likely to come out).
@Moeblob hardly exclusive if you can get form wii u or else where.
I'm so happy that I'll get to play axiom verge, severed and stardew valley! Now all I need is hyper light drifter to hurry up and come to PS4 and I'll be set
@jariw
Here's hoping.
Damn. I wanted Axiom Verge on the New Nintendo 3DS. Oh well, I also wanted Runbow and got that, so yay.
Awesome that Severed is crossbuy enabled. All 3DS & Wii U releases should be so by default, it really works well.
All of the games are close to must buys.
I'm glad the indie companies are supporting Wii U with some pretty good looking games! So far since e3 I'm planing on getting Axiom Verge, Severed, Jotun, Stardew Valley. Too badNintendo doesn't support their own platform anymore.....
Why isn't there a Guacamelee for 3DS? It's on every system except 3DS.
