Re: Hands On: Viture Beast XR Glasses - A 174-Inch TV On Your Face That Works Brilliantly With Switch 2, But At A Cost

@Hyrulean I used them with the switch 2 for a good few hours one day recently without any eye strain. The glasses do dig a bit into your nose with the weight, but not enough to stop me playing.

There’s a little bit of blurring on the edges of the ‘screen’ but I had no problem reading text or anything. Much easier than on the small screen, and everything comes up clearer because the screen is nice and bright.

Xreal has this Real3D mode where you press a button and it makes the game ‘3D’. Genuinely fun… for about 2 minutes, because the picture also goes quite jaggy, that’s not just the Switch though, also happens with movies.

This is on the same level as Nintendo just casually adding support for Bluetooth headphones in an update.
I can’t think of a game that I’ve been that bothered about picture quality in handheld, but I’ll definitely be utilizing this as I have a huge backlog of Switch 1 games bought on sale that I’m yet to touch.

I think it’s likely this game will be looked upon as a mis-step for the series, but not the end of the world which a lot of people have made it out to be. Some of the negative online discord will be from the ‘rage-bait’ algorithms built into social media, but I do think some of it stems from the sense of crushing disappointment that this is what we get after the long wait.

I’ve yet to form a final opinion because I’ve stepped away for a bit. That duke character in the Flare pool area just wound me up too much. All the characters have done, but this one is just so… crass, for what I see as an atmospheric game series
