80 on Metacritic so far, which is easily the lowest in the main prime series. I suspect this is more a case of expectations of quality changing over time. Plus what Ollie says about this likely being a divisive game. I’m still excited to step back into the Metroid universe.

These mostly look very nice, some are a bit busy. There is something to be said for the lower quality of the originals where you use your imagination to fill in the gaps. It’s like seeing a book you love made into a film and they didn’t realise it the way it is in your head

How do you decide on a trade without agreeing what to trade outside the app? As mentioned above, you can’t request what you want from someone else, you just blindly offer up one of your own, seems bizarre. It’s like they want to encourage a black market.

Why not play New Super Mario Bros Deluxe instead? Toadette changes into Peachette which is the easiest character I think. Plus you can carry your daughter over the tricky bits. Don’t think you can do that in Wonder unless I’m wrong? Can you even turn yourself into a bubble in Wonder?

Also my overuse of the swordmaster form says everything you need to about the standard combat.

One thing I’m reading from a lot of these comments is that people will be holding out for ‘the switch 2 version’. Is this just wishful thinking or has this been confirmed as coming to switch 2? I can’t see anything about this

@Yosti I don’t necessarily want a radically different design. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I’m just saying that in my mind, based on my experience of what I expect a new generation of Nintendo gaming to look like, the fact that this looks so similar to the current switch makes me doubt the veracity of this ‘leak’.

I love Nintendo for their innovation and novel consoles. I’d be sad if we’re mostly getting a specs upgrade, a Switch Pro. So I’m hoping they’ve got something wacky up their sleeves!

Each console generation for Nintendo has looked radically different. This doesn’t seem very them.

6 staff members. That’s certainly a number.

What does it mean? Is it a lot? I can’t imagine it’d be newsworthy if a developer employed 6 people but this probably happens all the time.

I’m just wondering what the wider picture is here. Games are still being made, AAA and indie. Is this a sign of a completely changing industry or is it just that sales are driving publishers to change their priorities. Games are so diverse these days, with such a huge back catalogue of games that I think everyone still has plenty of options to buy.

I’m surprised the comments are so concerned considering this is a website for consumers, not industry.
