I guess it's cool for those who haven't given the Blue Bomber a go but I probably won't go for this. I already have all six games via virtual console after all.
The concept is cool (as is the 2-minute short I saw a while back) but the execution the movie did sounds terrible. A shame, as the potential is there but it sounds like I've already seen the best Pixels has to offer from the trailers while the whole movie is all over the place...
Most of the people I follow generally agree that the redesign is alright or at least not as bad as they thought it'd be. Chalk another one up for "overreactions", though the redesign does have a couple of flaws.
The fact that whole gaming community came together and paid respects to Iwata made me smile; it was truly touching and it also showed what a great man he was.
That Silver Mario (bless whoever put that there) better not be stolen, I swear.
I got the cartridges for both Advance Wars games a while back and loved them, though the Hard Campaign; I couldn't be bothered with. Not sure if I'd like to buy them again but boy; would I love a new Advance Wars game with these characters once more.
I've seen a lot of fan art dedicated to Iwata. All of which are heartfelt and very pleasing to the eye but that last tweet shown here (very nice art btw) made me shed a tear... We all wish 1-UP Mushrooms would work, Mario; we ALL wish they existed right now... It's so nice seeing everyone; whether they're friends, rivals, competitors or otherwise get together and pay their respect to what many consider a legend to the industry.
[Wakes up and gets this as the very first bit of news...] Nothing will be the same again.... A huge part of the Nintendo family has passed away, at such a young age too. Truly, do I realise now that you don't know what you had until it's gone. May you rest in peace, Iwata sir.
Possibly the weakest but also the most underrated of the MLRPG series, this game can be considered the darkest of the bunch. Nevertheless, it's obviously a very fun game.
Oi! Like, Dark Pit is NOT emo, he's just misunderstood! GAWD! [ahem]
Joking aside, DP is an exclusive, eh? I'm surprised the retailer exclusives are still a thing over there; I'm thankful that that's not the case here in the UK. With any luck, the stock improvement that have been happening here will be apparent there as well.
Yeah, the stocking been pretty good or at least better than before. I got my Dark Pit pre-order though I've yet to receive Palutena. Hoping she comes by tomorrow.
Everyone should take that "several" word choice with a bit of salt. According to the source, that might be a translation thing.
"Me and the editor discussed this a lot and several was what we think was most accurate. As I said in the footnote 数 does mean several, and it’s better than “some,” which means more “an unspecified amount” than a range of an amount."
So yeah, more than two or so but I wouldn't expect half a dozen more characters.
As someone who views Miiverse on a near daily basis; this is overall good, though it's not without its flaws. I post on occasion and at most got a warning that was "spoilers"-related. Otherwise; my experience has been smooth.
I've always loved Four Swords-style games and it looks like Tri Force Heroes will be another one of those! I really like the communication buttons on the touch screen; those are the kind of shouts that Splatoon could use.
The game has online play so I greatly look forward to the game's release!
Palu's looking good, Dark Pit too; I'll hopefully get them via pre-orders. Looks like I'm adding G&W and R.O.B. to my list of wanted amiibo. After that, I'll most likely retire from amiibo collecting, maybe outside of easy cheap purchases I see in stores.
What? No, I'm stopping there, I swear it. ...What do you mean I'm in denial?! I can quit whenever I want!!
I didn't watch the E3 Digital Event as I was out today, the games themselves have some appeal; M&L Paper Jam and FE:Fates has my interest. it sounds like a lot of focus was on games that we already knew and what is new are smaller, less interesting games; hence everyone's disappointment. So is that it then or are more announcements possible within the next couple of days? I'll wait and see but it looks like Nintendo gonna get a lot for flak...
I'm not sure what to make of Ryu, though I'm glad the more SF-styled inputs are here so I can slowly learn and memorise them. He's not my priority right now but I'll be getting him eventually.
As anyone can tell from looking; I would love something Kid Icarus. Uprising's an awesome game that I played on a near daily basis until Smash was released. HD port would be nice, only if extra content was added to it. Though I'd probably buy it regardless...
Yes. I do believe a Paper Mario for Wii U is due right about now. Ideally, the game would take the best aspects of the 4 previous Paper Mario games and mix 'em all into something glorious.
I already have Mega Man 1-6 via virtual console. Unless there's a price deal for those who already have the games bought, I have no interest in this. I mean it's nice, especially for those who don't have a way to play the games somehow (gamers who are strictly PC, etc.) but for me, it's pointless.
Yeah, I saw this after someone posted it in the LOL thread. I love it, it's like one of the very few SFM animations that has so much effort and detail put into it that's also all around funny. Glad that NL is covering it, it deserves the views.
The general excitement has diminished for me, but I enjoy amiibo nonetheless just for the figures moreso than the in-game bonuses. Getting all the ones I wanted has been rather smooth for me. At worst, I ended up paying £30 each for Robin and Lucina but everything else went well.
Splatoon's looking pretty successful! I see cool fan art everywhere, the game getting decent or better sales and many people talking about the game. Looks like its a mainstay, at least it should be one!
@Jazzer94 - It's flawed, right? I'm just trying to think of this from a business perspective. Well, I'm just mainly talking about the feature when it comes to talking to strangers; considering the reputation of the feature shown here.
If one's to complain about the lack of Voice Chat, they should talk about it for friends as that side of the argument is more valid.
A few people go on about just adding a mute button, boom; problem solved but at that point, it'd be a rarely used feature supposedly. What'd be the point of adding a feature that's either useless or used for the wrong reasons? Miiverse alone can prove that we would not use Voice Chat for the game's attended purposes and since Splatoon aims to appeal to all, it's potentially an obstacle (business-wise) than anything else. Not the mention the language barrier.
Now Voice Chat with Friends is a different story; I wouldn't need it there either (guess why...) but I know you can't really defend the lack of that aspect.
[sigh] The wait for this game is getting longer and longer... There's also a certain feature showcased in that video which I'm sure may cause a mini-uproar from some fans.
I got an e-mail about that this afternoon. I found this rather funny! It's a shame and annoying nonetheless so hopefully, the thieves are found eventually. As for right now, I'll be happy so long as I still get the game and the other two amiibos; something is better than nothing.
I feel that NSMB is one of the harder games of the series to 100% complete, due to some Star Coin locations and World 7's requirement of finding secret exits. This is where the New series of game started though, so if you're interested in where it all began, here it is. Also this is the only game that has the Blue Shell power-up, though it returns as a mini ability in 3D World..

Re: Nintendo of America Opts for 'Real World' Super Mario Maker TV Campaign
Yeah, I saw this earlier today. I think it's a nice commercial that gets the job done right.
Re: Luigi Diorama and Legend of Zelda Carry Case Return to Club Nintendo
...Still keeping my stars.
Only have half of what I'd need for that diorama.
Re: Awesome Mario Kart Trophies Are Now Up for Grabs on Club Nintendo in Europe and Australia
Yeah... I don't have enough stars even if I lived in Australia. Would totally get the Special Cup or Mushroom Cup if I could though.
Re: Fire Emblem Fates Looks Set to be a Single Release in the West, According to Amazon
I do hope that's the case, I'd rather decide on which path to take after playing a bit of the game first.

Re: Movie Review: Pixels Proves Once Again That Video Games And Film Do Not Make Good Bedfellows

Re: Weirdness: The Next Splatoon European Splatfest Wants You to Choose Between Vast, Icy Landscapes
Quite the odd Splatfest choices. I'll have my friend support the South because I love Mari-- I mean Penguins. Yeah... heh.

I'd love it but I don't think I have enough stars for it. I'll check the store just before Club Nintendo closes in case any more new stuff pops up.
Re: EVO Players Loved Hyperkin's New GameCube-Inspired ProCube Pad
While I'm happy with the Pro Controller I got, I'm willing to give the ProCube a shot if the pricing is good. It certainly looks comfortable to hold.
Re: Nintendo Releases Genyo Takeda's Full Eulogy from Satoru Iwata's Funeral
At this point, I have come to accept Iwata's passing but boy did it hit me hard that day... It's still mind-shattering that he's really gone.
Re: Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto Share Belief That Satoru Iwata's Ideas "Will Make People Around the World Smile"

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Releases Statement on the Passing of Satoru Iwata
This news is still so surreal and unexpected to me. Definitely the saddest morning I've had in my life so far... I also worry about Nintendo's future.

That's fine, I mean the possibilities are there but not every game needs amiibo support.

Federation Force still getting a bunch of hate, I see.
Still very much hyped for Super Mario Maker.

Prices are a bit steep but I'll be getting the fighters and stages now; if not at some point.
Re: Smash Bros. Presentation Confirms Ryu and Mii Fighters amiibo, New Batch Arrives This September
I'll aim for ROB and Game & Watch (the changeable poses got me interested). As for the Miis, maybe Gunner but otherwise, meh.

Though I'd probably buy it regardless...

@KO-Cub - +1.
Re: Video: GameChap Shows Us Five Ways to Get Banned From Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Getting banned for those reasons is fair enough. What's stupid about this is that it applies to For Friends mode; it shouldn't really.
Re: Fire Emblem If Allows You to Build and Manage a Town, All Four Current FE amiibo Supported
