Re: Masahiro Sakurai Outlines the Challenges of Debugging for Super Smash Bros

DreamyViridi

Delays always suck, but it's well worth it if it leads to perfection. That happened with Brawl and if Smash 4 Wii U gets delayed a bit, then so be it. Hopefully, it'll be released before 2014 though; for the sales if anything.

Play testers are heroes with this kind of stuff. They're the reason why a fantastic game doesn't suck because of bugs. I saw a comment on this mention the possibilities of how many documents and waivers you'd need to sign as a play tester, for a game as big as Smash Brothers. Having knowledge about it well before anyone else... and then Nintendo Ninjas come to your door if you say a word...

Mega Man IV for me, having fun with MMIII so the next game will be that much better.
As much as I'd love it to come here, I'm not gonna expect Shovel Knight for a while because the localisation process is Yacht Club Games' issue, not just Nintendo's. Plus if this is anything to go by, it's gonna be a while.

Re: Mario Maker to Include Additional Graphical Styles, Sharing Levels is "Really The Whole Point"

DreamyViridi

I don't know why but I love making video game levels so this really appeals to me. I've made a lot of Mario vs. Donkey Kong levels over the years. One thing I hope they also take note of is the game's mechanics when changing graphic styles. I'm too used to being able to wall jump with NSMB, so not being able to when playing with those graphics will catch me off guard. Otherwise, this game has HUGE potential and I hope it's all realised while the game is made.

Re: Mario Kart Month: The Developers Who Tried To Beat Nintendo At Its Own Game

Crash Team Racing is an awesome racing game, one of the few racing games that's on par with the Mario Kart games and was imo, better than MK64. Nice single-player mode, good battle mode, fun challenges, the game had next-to-no flaws. I would like to point out though that in multiplayer, the game's Blue Shell equivalent shows up a lot in races. Seen it show up more times than the Blue Shell does in MK Wii.

Re: Reminder: Nintendo's Wi-Fi Service on Wii and DS Closes on 20th May

DreamyViridi

I had my last few rounds of Mario Kart Wii and Smash Bros. Brawl today and had a great time, about 5 or 6 hours worth. Surprisingly, Brawl went pretty smoothly, no lag and after a couple of trolls and taunt rooms, I had some awesome hardcore Brawls! I intend to make of most of the Pokémon services later.
Farewell, Nintendo Wi-Fi. We had a good run...

Re: Mario Kart Month: Mario Kart 8 Character Profiles: Koopalings Galore

DreamyViridi

@sinalefa - I think Mario Kart 7 had all of its characters revealed, iirc.
@Ttimer - I'm guessing for the same reason Waluigi is a heavy weight, their height. Both are pretty tall and might not have enough leg room in a medium kart, I guess.
Some people have wanted the Koopalings for quite some time now so that's good. Unlike the majority of everyone else, I'll give the other two newcomers a go. If I end up hating Pink Gold Peach later, it'll be because she'll be overused in online races. Otherwise, I'm willing to give Her Royal Shininess a chance!
