I wish the second pose for G&W was flipped. That way it's properly a Brawl G&W amiibo.

R.O.B. is really the only amiibo I want (shocker basted on my AVI, right?) I don't think I want 2 of them though. Just need one for a nice statue, like all these amiibo are - statues with no real game functionality.

I want R.O.B, Mr G&W, and the 8-bit Mario's that are for some reason not present in these pictures and that also goes for a Wooly World Yoshi. I'm sure they'll understocking ROB and Mr G&W.

@XCWarrior I think we mainly buy them for 10 dollars for the statue and 3 dollars for game functionality, which sounds just about right.

@DarthNocturnal Japan and International version of ROB. I'll likely have an easier chance getting the Japanese version.

That Paulenta amiibo is really impressive.

So, what will all the serious amiibo collectors do about DK and Bowser in Skylanders since it looks like they will only be sold w/ the game? Do they finally give up on "gotta collect'em all" or splurge on 2 expsenive starter packs?

amiibo collecting needs to have it's own reality show.

I keep telling myself i could be buying games with the money i spend on amiibo... nah I'll just work more shifts.

We are now getting to the few figures i really want. will not pay over $20 (shipping included) for any of them though except Palutena as that one looks really good. Let's hope nintendo gets this supply thing figured out by christmas.

Would be nice if i could even pre-order reliably anymore. can't even seem to do that! when they write a book about Nintendo going the way of Sega and Capcom, amiibo's will definitly deserve a chapter!

Of course Duck Hunt, ROB, and G&W all come out in the same wave. They're the three I've wanted the most and I'll probably never be able to track any of them down. Refusing to pay over recommended pricing to scalpers also doesn't help me, but I'd rather not own something than give my money to some jerk.

Palu's looking good, Dark Pit too; I'll hopefully get them via pre-orders. Looks like I'm adding G&W and R.O.B. to my list of wanted amiibo. After that, I'll most likely retire from amiibo collecting, maybe outside of easy cheap purchases I see in stores.

Wait, ROBs in Smash? Completely forgot about him. Gotta play him some time...

From what I've seen, Skylanders seems to be pretty good at re-stocking their figures. Hopefully their DK and Bowser will sell like hotcakes and inspire Nintendo to stock more of their own.

I'd love to buy them all but Nintendo and my wallet disagree with me. Still if I were lucky enough I'd love to at least complete my Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Metroid and Zelda sets with their respective figures. Donkey Kong I suppose I will get as I pre-ordered Skylanders for Wii U this time around instead of my PS4. I have a feeling Bowser will only be available in the Wii bundle.

Amiibo haven't been that hard to get since wave 3 of the Smash Bros. series, except the Silver/Gold Marios. The R.O.B.'s are beautiful

Two R.O.B.s..... as a collector of the Smash series, man is that gonna be annoying. They better stock R.O.B. decently, since I'm going to want to get both. I imagine this will cause quite a bit of chaos as everybody with one version of R.O.B. will want to import the other... unless they give us both, fingers crossed. All the amiibo look amazing, though!

@RupeeClock Scalpers stole the other 4 AC amiibo.

The Nintendo website lists 7 amiibo 8 if you include the Lottie character from Happy Home Designer.

The sense of Amiibo entitlement going on in here is staggering lol and reading the mutterings of you @SavoirFaire had me in fits of laughter. Game, most likely the biggest video games retailer in the UK, sells Amiibo figures at 15 quid which is over 23USD and you're giving it all the you won't pay over $20 bla bla......well good luck with that then.
Nobody is forcing anyone to pay anything but market forces are market forces and right now it's a seller's market out there when it comes to Amiibo. Most of my figures I have got at RRP or even a wee bit less but I've paid as much as £42(65 USD) to get Gold Mario from the States and £25(39 USD) a piece for Meta Knight from Australia and Shulk from Japan. If you want something enough you pay the going rate to get it but if you're not prepared to pay the going rate then you can't really complain about not being able to get it.

R.O.B, Mr Game and Watch, and the two retro mario amiibo are the ones im going for

I want Dark Pit, Palutena, Ganondorf, Zero Suit Samus, Mr. game and Watch, Rob, and Olimar.

The rest aren't worth the absurd amount of effort it takes to get the darned things. To me anyway.

Just picked up ZSS and Palutena. Only two left that I want are Falco and Lucas.

I still haven't payed over $20 for any of my amiibos. You just gotta be willing to go out to stores on the day of release. I've given up trying to order these things from online sources.

You can order Silver Mario directly from Walmart.com right now. You can also get him on GameStop.com. he's notball that rare honestly!

Most of these amiibo are looking very impressive, especially Palutena and Ganondorf.

If the Skylanders amiibo are only sold as part of a Skylanders game, then I'll be avoiding them. I'll just tell myself that those are Skylanders and not amiibo.

I have a feeling G&W will not be all that rare. You can never tell, but I just have a feeling. I had the same feeling with Wario! Who, by the way, is now available on Walmart.com

Ganon will probably be fairly common, simply because he is the main Zelda villain, and EVERY OTHER Zelda series figure is easy to find. Rob will probably be rare, Dark Pit and Palutena will most likely be really rare as well.

PLEASE !!! Don't use 'Marvel' and 'amiibo' in the same sentence! I almost thought something awesome happened after their E3...

Watching the media briefing about Yoshi's Woolly World I can see where all the Woolly Yoshi amiibo went!

Gold Mario ain't even been released in Europe so the only option to get hold of him was to acquire him from the States at whatever price you could snap him up for on eBay.

Then you add $12 or so Global Shipping Programme postage and then the 20% import duty that is the going rate for all of us unfortunate enough to be citizens of member states within the Trotskyist European Union and the price soon shoots up.

Out of all these, I may only get Palutena and R.O.B., but I probably won't even keep the second. It will likely be mutilated so the chip can be stuck in the base of my actual R.O.B., instead.

@smikey - Well, you certainly take serious collector to a whole other level.

Glad you have some kids to at least play w/ the games. We might get both as well, really would like to see what racing looks likes, and if Activison makes enough. Yes, Nintnedo is really bad at stocking amiibo, but Skylanders has troubles as well, Kaos trap was near impossible to find for many months, new white and black element characters as well. There ar eonly so many Wii U in the world, so how many will they make? The "Dark" SKylanders pack sold out everywhere and I don't think every got replenished.

Fortuantley for us, even though my kids collect Skylanders - we have about 70 - they've never been nuts about it, just mostly getting them as gifts and B1G1 half off sales, no eBay or pre-ordering or waiting in line or anything. The games are fairly playable w/o needing them all, though you do need about half.

I'm looking forward to never finding any of these!

I'm EXTREMELY tired of these Amiibos. It's like when Nintendo talked about "transformation" or whatever, they were referring to becoming a goddamn toy company.

Try looking on 99gamers.com! It's a neat site where people sell their games (and amiibos) for on-site currency called coins, which you earn by selling your own games. People do Amiibo trades in that site, and I have gotten a few figures that I was looking for. I recommend it!

I live in the UK. Pretty much all of these will be quite easy to get a hold of.

I'd be interested in getting some Of these.unfortunately I ordered code name steam and the marth amiibo and picked up samus as well from nintendo last week and it's not turned up despite the courier company claiming on the tracking page it was delivered to my non existent porch 2 days ago so I'm feeling pretty burned at the moment

Thanks for showing all the amiibo I will want but won't be able to find. I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices resellers are charging on ebay. So sad that such a wonderful Nintendo take on interactive toys has become such a love-hate because of the limited supply issues.

They do look really cool! Reading the comments has made me realize that the amiibo problem is very relative and pretty silly anyway. I actually liked Nintendo's e3 and the new games they announced. The amiibo functionality for some of the new games (like Animal Crossing amiibo festival and Home Designer) sounds like it actually has potential to be engaging beyond DLC locking as has been discussed before by others. Maybe Nintendo should consider offering downloadable DLC of the amiibo stuff where the amiibo aren't really the necessary (e.g. The FIRE EMBLEM characters in Codename STEAM). That would please the fans who just want the content, and make them money. Who would be mad? The amiibo collector? I doubt it. He/she probably wants to play as Marth too.

Game & Watch looks weird with that much depth.

It's really annoying to see amiibo sold out the second after the openning of preorders. I want the ganondorf amiibo but it's sold out everywhere.
I preordered shulk but they never got it and cancelled my order... Nintendo really needs to do something because they're not able to do enough amiibo to cover the preorder.

We buy them when we find ones we like.....still refuse to over-pay for them online. They all look great. I'll be lucky if I see a couple of them on store shelves.
