I remember using a 'device' to shortcut training Pokes; hacked egg moves and nature but I did everything else (including the breeding) myself. It takes time to get what you'd like. However, online put me off Pokémon for months. When I went back, I didn't bother with the 'device' as I kinda preferred the legitimacy. It was more fun.

Haven't done training in ages; and with X & Y coming soon, I should get back to it. I hope X & Y will tell me which of my Pokémon are illegal so I can raise legit ones again.

It's a matter of surprise when it comes to the Smash roster. New characters that make it in normally have justified reasoning. I think the new additions so far are justified.

@Geonjaha - Well, she's slower but can float with her jumps and thus, go further with them. Take what you will from that.
If the character is fun to play as, I play as them; guy or girl. Yes, I'm one of the guys that played Super Princess Peach and had fun with it. What? It's a Mario game, I'm a Mario fan. The gender of the protagonist is not that important.

I wonder how the Single Player Campaign will work if it's not a big adventure like Brawl's... Oh well, it'll be good for sure anyway. Looking forward to seeing what it'll be like.

Question: Did Metroid Prime 2 get this much undeserved backlash during its development process? The game's not finished and can still have many tricks up its sleeve. Also Metroid's had 3 Retro titles, this is just DK's second one.

I'm so glad Mega Man made it in Smash Bros. I've said a few times he should make it in as a third-party character since he deserves it most but I wasn't expecting it. I hope other new fighters will be just as surprising!

@Varia01 - Have no fear. Waluigi was playable in the demo and shows up in the game's trailer.
Anyway, I'm really excited for this entry in the Mario Kart series. The first thing that got me were the graphics. Compared to other entries, Mario Kart 8 was absolute eye candy for me, looking at the trailer. So yeah, I'm hyped!!

Before anyone gets their hopes up; the lack of a Blue Shell is due to the fact that this is a demo. The same happened in Mario Kart 7's development stage and demos. It'll no doubt return; though whether it'll be winged or not is anyone's guess.
A Wii U demo for the eShop would be nice, by the way.

What I thought was a daft character choice is actually pretty alright. It's really bizarre but the moveset works and it doesn't look silly. I'm all for it.

That video made a great first impression on me. I'll definitely give the game a shot, provided I have a Wii U by then. Anyone noticed the 'Spiny Feet' on Sonic? Interesting style.

The Xbox One is hurt bad by the first impression it's made. The fact that it has to be online all of the time isn't good. My friend and I were discussing it and he mentioned how the Xbox One, because of how it apparently works, could take a huge toll on internet and electricity bills... more so than usual.
Maybe Microsoft can do something to ease the pain, but either way; they're in trouble!

Kid Icarus: Uprising, Fire Emblem and Mario Kart make it the greatest for me.

The second I saw the one on the far left, I instantly thought of Meloetta for some reason. These characters seem unusually shaped for Sonic characters, let's see how this works out.

I'm glad that I did my bit in buying this game. Awakening deserves the recognition it's getting. Awakening was my first proper introduction into the series, (only played Scared Stones for a bit cause I got it for free) and I love it.

Thinking about getting DKCR again. It's slightly cheaper than your average 3DS game so I might get it. Retail, not download.

Probably not. Many people will still want a new game, I appreciate the effort though. It looks nice. It may not be a game but at least they're pushing the franchise instead of just pretending it doesn't exist.

Well, I already have a perfectly fine 3DS, so this doesn't really bother me right now but yes; that is indeed a shame. Having the option would be nice for some of us EU gamers.

I agree that 2013 in shaping up to be a fantastic year for the 3DS. I honestly don't know how it can get better.

When I get the game tomorrow, I'll be playing Casual mode, probably on Normal. Permadeath put me off Scared Stones for months the first time I played, but I understand now it's a big incentive. I'll try classic mode after beating Casual. I'm one of those people who wants everyone alive, so I would soft reset a lot.
I have a forum discussing permadeath moments if anyone would like to share theirs.
