Federation Force still getting a bunch of hate, I see.
Still very much hyped for Super Mario Maker.
Fatal Frame, Tri Force Heroes, Metroid Federation, Xenoblade X, Hyrule Warriors and Mario Maker. Then there are Indie Releases- Gatcha Racing (3ds) a new Mutant Mudds, Steam Punk Heist among many. Those are my Retail buys and Indie buys so much for saving money haha! This show was not as bad as you think! Peace unto your Gaming.
They did a fantastic job of showing Fatal Frame, I was psyched to hear the English VA work for Xenoblade X, and those Triforce Heroes emotes look like they could be cropping up a lot online after the launch of the game.
The NWC and the Treehouse certainly helped round out Nintendo's E3 after a Digital Event that felt more like a run-of-the-mill Direct. With Muppets.
I really can't wait for Yoshi's Wooly World. I love exploring in platformer games.
I also watched day 2's coverage of Yokai Watch and even though I was interested, it made me much more so!
That Super Mario Maker video was good. I wasn't really interested in it as I'm not much of a SMbros player, but I'm more interested in it now.
Pity environments don't seem at all destructible in XCX. Driving around wrecklessly seems to matter not one jot.
So after the lack of heavy-hitting surprises on Day 1, there's been a total of 0 surprises revealed since... am I right?
Thanks for breaking these up and putting them in one place NLife! I think almost everything looks like good fun, and I've now set any disappointment I felt aside. The exception to that is Animal Crossing amibo festival; can anyone actually tell me what it even is? I watched as much of the treehouse segment as I could bear. There doesn't seem to be any mini games? Just randomly awarded prizes with accompanying bits of text? I don't really understand.
I'm gonna watch all the videos with Sam in it! 😍 all the games look great and I'll be getting the majority of them! Solid E3 I reckon 😀
Looking good. It's nice the Treehouse makes an effort to really show how these games are played, that's not something any other part of E3 is delivering
@luke88 Please tell me how Star Fox one looks good and fun, taking the aweful controls and graphics in mind.
@DreamOn Well, exept for the onstage demos the Sony and Microsoft presentation had.
@EllenJMiller Fatal Frame looks amazing indeed.
@Captain_Gonru Um, you don't remember Wii Music?
Super mario maker, federation force, and skylanders supercharged surprised me when watching actual gameplay. I'm a bit amped to play these titles
@Captain_Gonru ah, I see. Thanks for the info. I have to agree - it looks absolutely terrible.
@TheFurminator I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, I expect it will be fun. I've no doubt the gyro controls will be optional, and Nintendo so rarely release games that don't control well or at least well enough. That is what I think, anyway. Yeah, the graphics looked poor in places but passable in others, not good. I don't think that's going to stop the game being fun though, obviously I'm being optimistic - much of what we have seen and heard doesn't bode that well. We'll have to wait and see what the finished product is like, I guess. Would love us both to remember this conversation come release/reviews. Of course I shall admit I was wrong if it turns out not to be rubbish. 😉
@Captain_Gonru Wait, I misread what you said. I thought you said that this was there worst E3 ever. My bad. I agree that Amiibo Festival was the worst part of the whole presentation. It just looks so boring to play and on top of that, the announcement was executed so poorly. It started out with the AC amiibo, leaving the assumption of a new (proper) AC game for the Wii U. I feel for you on that one, and I'm not even a huge AC fan.
Any devils third videos or news? Haven't seen anything
Super Mario maker. Isabella is the 69nth costume.
@TheFurminator But even then, the tree house played much longer demos and some games were played three times in each days they had Treehouse live and with different people playing. That really gives you a lot of gameplay footage and a step above those very brief onstage conference demos that played one section of the demo max.
Star Fox Zero looks Amazing !!!!!! Great use of Dual Screen Experience with the Gamepad ... so stoked for that game and it's being made by Miyamoto & Platinum Games it will be Wii U 's Killer App this Holiday .... Also Yoshis Woolly World looks so cute & Fun ... my wife's favorite Character ... Co Op looks Amazing can't wait to play with her ... shall be a Blast ... Was there any Details on Devils Third ? Like Bayonetta 2 ... it looks to be a Mature title the Wii U lacks... No Big Suprise Announcements this year ... Must keep hope for Next Year Nintendo Please Make Kid Icarus U & Luigi's Mansion U those are the 2 Games I want most ( last year was 3 with Star Fox U ) so at least I got one wish .... last thing .... Yup Metroid !!!!!! I dunno but when I got a Wii U @ launch Nov 18th 2012 I figured the Dual Screen gaming with the Gamepad would be perfect for an HD mature Metroid Game ...after 3 years no such luck and then they announce this Nickelodeon 10 year old looking 3DS Game .... Um Epic Fail !!!!
The Treehouse segments were well done, after watching the Fatal Frame footage, I'm completely sold on that game!
@rob955 it's absence from E3 is sad but I noticed that it has yet to receive a release date in the US, which is weird considering Japan, Europe, Australia and New Zealand get the game in August. My guess is that NoA doesn't have much faith in the game/it doesn't suit their stupid overly family friendly persona.
This was by far the best showing of Star Fox. That guy's play was inspirational.
