A friend of mine is going on Friday and is looking into getting tickets for me too since I previously wasn't interested. That Nintendo Store peaks my interest in possibly getting more amiibo. Oh, and Splatoon of course.
I only have just under 3000 stars. Unless they're very generous with the pricing, I don't think I'll be able to get any of those... I'd get the Special Cup trophy, MK8 Soundtrack and the Goodbye Coin if I had enough stars.
Sounds like the weapon triangle is still there but now the weapons are sort of categorised. "Magic" is now paired with swords, bows with axes, and dark magic with lances. Most notably, bows being part of the triangle; this change will be very interesting since it'll be in effect at all times now.
I don't know, there's something about the original that makes me enjoy it a bit more than TTYD. Might be the lack of slightly obnoxious backtracking, that's something about TTYD that bugs me a fair bit. I can replay 64 or Sticker Star any day but TTYD not so much, and I get bored when replaying Super (it's a good game though).
Anyway, I got Paper Mario on the Wii and really enjoyed it. The Wii U release being 60Hz when it, hopefully, comes to Europe would be appreciated.
I'm just happy that Casual Mode is a mainstay for both versions of the game. I think I have enough FE experience to not need Phoenix Mode. Also, unlimited weapon use; interesting. Perhaps that'll be balanced out by them getting weaker and weaker the more they're used or something of the sort.
I remember back when this game really WAS new and I had such a fun time the whole way through, not to mention the Mario vs. Luigi Multiplayer and the minigames. Granted, the minigames were mostly from SM64DS but there were a few new ones in there. The Mario vs. Luigi Multiplayer might've made for a cool little online feature, thinking about it. This'll be a nice addition to the eShop for those who want to see where the "New" series started. Just don't forget not to shake the GamePad. No spin in this game.
I understand that meeting all of the demand can be a matter of "easier said than done" but like I've said before, Nintendo's sitting on a gold mine here. If they could just get more stock in, profits could skyrocket. As is though, the situation's ridiculous. At midnight, Lucina and Robin were available on Amazon for £30, which I didn't like but I bit the bullet and bought 'em. Good thing too because Lucina has since doubled in price this morning and Robin's not much better. All of the Wave 4 amiibo were released today and already people are having issues getting them. These are supposed to be for kids, right? C'mon Ninty, there's gotta be a way to make most-all of the figures accessible and not just the common ones..
Mm-hmm. It happened again and Lucina and Robin are gonna be tough to find. Shame, those are the ones I'm after. I fear the same will happen to my Palu and Pittoo pre-orders as well...
DLC so far has been done in a fantastic way. I think Mario Kart 8 could handle one more pack, a battle pack perhaps; it's not just about racing after all! A couple of the DLC courses could work in Battle Mode and if it meant getting old school arenas in the game; all the better!
As for Smash Bros., well... we know what's happening there. Pricing could be a little lower but it's still good.
It's a pretty fun game imo, especially if you put an arcade mind-set into it. I played it for a good while when I first played and occasionally go back to it. However, I don't think it's worth the $10 price tag. I personally would give it a 7/10 because no, it's not a Yoshi's Island game; it's an arcade game with some challenging (how far can you go?) modes that use the Yoshi motif. In the event of a price drop though; I'd recommend it if you had the spare change.
@AugustusOxy - Yeah, I agree to that. Diddy still feels the same in physics and such, it's just his power that changes. So honestly, now that he isn't so "cheap"; he's rather fun to play.
While I'm at my friend's house, 200cc will no doubt be the big thing during our gaming sessions. We may never go back to 150cc afterwards!
@DiscoGentleman - Take a drink every time you're Blue Shelled or hit by Lightning?
Eh... I cracked and pre-ordered Palutena and Dark Pit and the Splatoon bundle. GAME is definitely not the best but I've had the reward card for years now and I just roll with it now. The occasional free bonuses are nice though.
I'll be honest, the pricing felt a bit much to me only because I compare it to what you get from Mario Kart 8's DLC packs where you effectively get half of a game for a quarter of the price. It's a different story here in the case of Smash 4 but it's not like I need to buy everything anyway.
I'll definitely be buying Characters and the Smash T-Shirts for Miis but the rest I'll probably ignore for now.
No surprise he's saying that considering it would technically be free advertising for Microsoft. I've no interest in Banjo, not to mention he's but a shell of his former self. Though no doubt those who are nostalgic will go for this.
Palutena, Dark Pit, Dr. Mario and maybe Bowser Jr. as far as amiibo goes! I'm still thinking about the ballot, probably won't do it until next week or so.
Man, 4 years... I remember the first day of my 3DS like it was yesterday... I'll most likely keep it when I upgraded to the "New" models but yes, I love it and proud to be an Ambassador 3DS owner.
I'm just a little bit sad that we can't consider Shovel Knight a Nintendo exclusive anymore... a little bit. I'm excited to see the console exclusive boss fights though! Maybe the PC version can have other indies crossover and Nintendo can get someone like Mario or Link in there. That said, Yacht Club Games have a lot on their plate as is; they'll do fine and pull through in the end.
@TeeJay @CapeSmash - Yeah, in MvsDK2, you had direct control of the Minis and tapping them made them stop. However, there was a point bonus for completing levels without stopping them and it was required to properly beat levels. That might be why the feature was taken out, to add to the difficulty, making it mandatory.
While I'm one of the people who would like to see a M vs DK that's like the one on GBA, I really enjoy the Mini gameplay. I look forward to this one, wish the European release data was closer...
I spy a Mini Mario cosmic clone in the Tipping Stars trailer... oh boy. Looks like that game's not eShop only, it might be a retail game. The Bowser commercial was the best thing ever, seeing Bowser's expression when the Gamepad's taken away made me laugh. "Aww, no more Bowser time..." XD
I won't lie, she does look adorable. Even if I had the money, I'm not sure if I'd buy it or not, I've never fully played through any of the Gen 4 games.
Yeesh, these stories are something else...
I've been lucky enough to get all of the ones I'm interested in (except for King Dedede but I'm patient, I'll get him soon or later). Mario, Luigi, Wii Fit Trainer (x2), Marth, Sheik, Toon Link, Pit, Mega Man and Sonic are currently in my possession. With Lucina, Robin and Pac-Man coming up soon, actually getting these amiibos is becoming all the more harder.
I was considering getting Shulk but stuff like this is a bit of a turn-off as I saw it coming. So long as the ones I want stick around, I'll stay sane.
I enjoyed Power Paintbrush, so I'll definitely enjoy this regardless... whenever it comes to the UK. I already accidently spoiled myself of a little of the soundtrack and I love what I heard.
I'm actually happy with the 3DS I have right now. I normally go for the upgraded handhelds at post-launch or so but this time, I'll most likely consider getting the N3DS a couple of months from now. Might get some faceplates beforehand though, 'cause why not?
Yes, a "Hurrah!" to the 3DS, I love it. The first year was slow but it's been fun times since; especially with additional DS, GB and GBA games to play on it. I've had it since near-launch and with one small repair job, it's still by my side. I think, of the Nintendo handhelds, I've put the most hours in the 3DS. Not sure if I'm ready to move on from it quite yet, it'll be hard when its time passes as a successor is announced. Until then though, to the 3DS! Cheers!
It's possible to see evidence of this normally in the game. A couple of months ago, after winning a Jackpot in Spectate, my prize was Standard 4 for Zero Suit Samus. Couldn't access it but still...
Of course, the missing pink mail Toad was Mummy-Me all along! I shoulda known! The majority of these are really nice to look at, along with Oscar's art, that storybook one in the Director's Choice Awards is my favourite. Wonder if Wingo will ever make another appearance again?
Doing this is a good start to evening distribution to everyone and hinder scalpers. It's clear that amiibo is really popular and Nintendo would be sitting on top of a gold mine if they could better meet demand. Hopefully, retailers do follow this policy; I want my Lucina with little troubles...

Yeah, like a few have already said, I think this instance is fake. The concept itself though would be awesome and is possible.
Re: Review: Paper Mario (Wii U eShop / Nintendo 64)
@scamander - Hey, I could hope, right? Game's awesome as is; a slight speed increase would be a mere bonus anyhow.
