@Razer It never seemed dead to me. I’ve always been able to jump in and join some matches with no problems. Been having fun with it even since long after the last Splatfest.

The mons themselves are not really rare or anything and the Mr. Mime I received didn’t even have very good stats, but the awesome thing is they come in a cherish ball and have you as the original trainer. I always like that.

I love Splatfests. Picked ketchup so glad we won, but I was on so many losing teams. Still a lot of fun.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8.

Several people in this comment section sound like spoiled, whining children. Industries everywhere are affected by this virus, there are going to be delays and uncertainties. This obsession of Directs is unhealthy, go play something in your backlog.

I always wondered how in the world that NA box art got approved, it’s horrible. I made better Mega Man drawings when I was 10.

This update looks great. I’ve been enjoying the game so much. Good to see more returning classic characters.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8. Also going to get outside for some fresh air with the family. My daughter is seeing the Marvel films for the first time so we’re set to watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier and maybe Guardians of the Galaxy. Going to be a great weekend!

@Northwind that is a good and fair answer. I’ve been enjoying the game so much and then I look online and see a lot of negativity beginning to grow around the game. I didn’t agree with a lot of the complaints but you’re right, there are lots if styles of play and mine is not the only one, so I can see why some might have concerns. I like to play AC over the long haul so if I missed some cherry blossom recipes this time, I’ll get them next year, no sweat, but I can see others being really frustrated that they didn’t get them all this time.

@Northwind I must be playing AC wrong. I don’t rush to unlock everything in the game, I don’t worry about getting every single item, I don’t grind for bells and I’m not too bothered that all the content isn't available out of the gate. I also don’t feel pressured to make my island conform to anybody else’s standard and I still have no FOMO. Am I doing it wrong?

Mostly going to be Animal Crossing: New Horizons, this game is so addicting. Splatoon 2 had also been getting a lot of my attention for when I need something a little more fast paced.

I have the splatoon 2 switch, I’d like to make my in game colors match that. Hopefully in an update later.

@Heavyarms55 Totally agree. Splatoon 2 and AC New Horizons are two of my favorite games on Switch. Totally different types of games, both are terrific!

@Dr_Corndog Granted, there are a ton of licensed themes now but LEGO City, Ninjago, Hidden Side, Friends and Creator exist. Lots of good stuff there.

I’m hoping for some traditional building sets based on Mario and Zelda out of this. Not too excited about what was shown so far.

The Animal Crossing hype has gotten to me just as I’m burning out on Pokémon Shield, so I dove back into AC New Leaf. Going to finish as much of it as I can before New Horizons.

A little bit of Pokémon Shield, some Splatoon 2 and even hopped into Animal Crossing New Leaf to catch the last winter fish I never caught before.

@kenyowa They’ve been distributing mythical Pokémon for years and never charged before. Highly doubt they’d start now.

Filling my dex, doing lots of max raid battles and challenging the battle tower in Pokémon Shield.

The Direct got me back on Pokemon so I finished the main story in Pokemon Shield, now filling up dex and doing all the extra stuff.

Still playing through Jedi: Fallen Order as well. What a great game.

Reading Star Wars: Black Spire and have Resistance Reborn on deck.

Not going to have a ton of time for games but it’ll all be spent with Pokémon Shield. Only about 45 minutes in and enjoying it so far.

These games keep looking better with each new trailer and reveal. I’m most interested in what camping will do for your Pokémon and what kind of mini-games or activities are available when four players are camping together.

Disney Infinity 2.0. Never played through the Spider-Man playset. Still sad this series got cancelled, always had a lot of fun with it.

Pokémon Platinum for me. Maybe some Super Mario Odyssey if I get time Sunday. Bit of Pokémon Go today too.

Looks great. I'm excited to play it. I don't really care about national dex and honestly the animations look fine to me. It's pokémon, when have we ever really placed such high value on battle animations?

Finished the Octoling Expansion in Spaltoon 2. Inner Agent 3, wow what a tough battle! Playing through the Sevii Island quests in Pokemon FireRed.

I said if the “lies” you think you’ve been told about a video game make you feel so burned, you are going to be in for a rude awakening when you realize all the other lies that are coming your way in life. I’m not defending any of GameFreak’s design decisions, I fully understand the backlash. I just think some people are a little disproportionally upset about it.

@phanboy haha, not sure I understand your comment. But to clarify, if “lies” about video games bothers anyone, real life lies are going to be a slap in the face. Anyway, I enjoy video games as a reprieve from the “real world” so I don’t get too fussed about relatively minor complaints. Cheers!

Still, point taken about the fact that there is different content in each version. But even that is not exactly new to the series, see gen 3 (completely different evil teams).
