Yet another week has flown by, this time full of Pokémon Direct revelations and Animal Crossing pre-order goodies, but it's finally time to sit down and chat about our weekend plans.
Members of Team NL have done just that below and we'd love for you to join in via our poll and comment sections, too. Enjoy!

This weekend I hope to have another few runs at Dead Cells. I picked it up over the holidays and have spent a few stolen hours in the evenings steadily making progress. I surprised myself on one run when I found an amazing shield and totally changed my aggressive devil-may-care play-style, managing to thrash the Timekeeper (a boss who had previously destroyed me a couple of times) through parrying alone. I died on the next level, but still. Great game, that.
I also broke my rule of not rebuying unplayed Humble Bundle PC games in my Steam library and picked up Grim Fandango on sale. Everyone says it’s a classic, so on the backlog it goes. And I’d like to get my last few gym badges in Pokémon Sword. I’m still a long way from catching them all, but I’m enjoying the journey.

I'll probably be left with a saddening lack of spare time to play anything this weekend, but I do have a couple of things in mind if I get a spare minute or two. First up is Animal Crossing: New Leaf; with New Horizons on the... well, 'Horizon', I thought it was about time I gave the franchise the attention people suggest it deserves. I've had New Leaf sitting on my shelf for years but I've never properly given it enough time, so I thought I'd rectify that and see what all the fuss is about.
Secondly, that Pokémon Direct has made me miss Pokémon Sword and Shield and I suddenly want to dive straight back in and catch some more 'mon for my Pokédex. I think I was getting close to catching around three-quarters of them, so at least there isn't too long to go - for now!

This weekend, I will quite literally be going through my entire game catalog and playing every single thing I own - because I finally did it. I conquered my basement and built myself a home theater. I got an amazing gaming projector, and will be playing everything from my old GameCube games to Breath of the Wild to Super Mario Odyssey to Pokémon Shield - I’ll even probably play all of the old NES and SNES games on a giant screen with surround sound, because what the heck! If anyone has any suggestions of perfect games to play on the big screen - mainly on Switch - throw ‘em in the comments for me.

Before the storm hits and we're inundated with games like Animal Crossing New Horizons and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX (what a name), I'm continuing to spend my days replaying some classics. On the Nintendo front, I've started Super Mario Odyssey again from scratch - I think I've spent enough time away from the game that everything feels more or less completely fresh!
Elsewhere, I'm replaying the original Resident Evil 3 ahead of the remake's launch, and I've also started going through the entire Halo franchise for the billionth time! Some folks say I have too much time on my hands, I just don't know what they're on about...

This weekend I’ll be getting stuck properly into all the Labo kits I bought cheap on Black Friday. I built a couple over Xmas, just the easy ones, and it’s been a lot of fun so far but I definitely see a point, as the builds get more difficult, where I’ll need to be restrained from tearing up bits of cardboard and screaming my house down. It’s those little bags of string and extra bits, I can just tell there’s pain on the horizon.
I’ve also finally, just about managed to get to the end of Astral Chain, a beautiful thing which I’m gonna have to return to at some point for a fresh run because this playthrough has been a terribly fractured affair owing to time constraints. Have a good weekend everyone!

The quietude of January endures, providing me with plenty of opportunities to catch a breather and work on my epic backlog. You probably guessed it already: more DAEMON X MACHINA and Astral Chain sessions, along with further SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays (there is new DLC out!) progress and possibly a side serving of the brilliant River City Girls. Unsure how long it lasts, but I will be having some fun with the surprise Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX demo. It made me realize I miss Shiren The Wanderer...
My game of the week is the surprisingly hardcore Ultimate Racing 2D, bringing me back to the simpler days of Commodore Amiga 500 overhead racers with friends. I’m always happy to see this niche genre represented on the Switch and developers now have a new benchmark to beat.
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave a vote in the poll above and a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days...

1. Continuing Disciples Sacred Lands on PC.
2. Continuing Shovel Knight Treasure Trove on the Switch! Currently on Plague of Shadows campaign. AMAZING GAME!!!
I'm about 30 hours into Shin Megami Tensei IV.
I'm not sure how far I'm into the story as I've been having so much fun fusing demons that I've been taking my time with it. I've just got to Shibuya.
Just started The Fruit of Grisaia last night so I'll mostly be playing that for a while. Also still putting a lot of time into Groove Coaster.
I'm actually close to completing my Pokedex in Shield, about 15 left actually. So there's that.
Yoshi's Crafted World ( $1 ), Edith Finch ( $1 ), Broforce, Into the Breach, Stardew Valley
BOTW DLC for myself and LEGO Harry Potter co-op with my sis!
I'm still playing The Witcher 3 and plan to finish it (eventually). I'm also still working on Pokemon Sword too though.
I'm not sure what games i want to play this weekend. 🤔

I guess i will continue Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time PS3 and checking my other town of Animal Crossing New Leaf 3DS
My son is playing and enjoying Pokémon Sword as I write this, and I have been REALLY getting in to Ori & The Blind Forest, absolutely stunning game, so happy it’s on Switch. I’ll check out DOOM again this weekend too, with the updates arriving. Enjoy your weekend everyone.
Original doom, cause of the new updates
Sims 2 on the mac ( i if can ever get the bugger to work thats a game in itself )
Dirt 2 ( mac )
Colin McCrae rally mac ( 2005 )
playing the switcher and luigis mansion 3
...and maybe some Mario maker2 Zelda levels😁🥳🤓
After beating Link's Awakening and Turok on Switch, Turok 2 and cerebral bore fest for me!
Witcher 3 for me. Also got Just Dance 2020 for the family and really impressed. Good selection of songs even though I will never pay for a subscription. And feels like a good workout too!
@ViewtifulJotun my niece got Just Dance 20 for Christmas and her whole family have got involved and they LOVE it! My son was round too playing with them he was pretty good 😂
Splatoon 2 - Haven't played Splatoon for a good while so I'm just enjoying some ranked battles. Losing most of them since I'm rusty and I'm at least S+ in each mode.
Dragon Quest XI - Got this last week. In Gallopolis, helping the prince.
Bunch of other games: Pokémon Shuffle, Radiohammer, Baba is You, Hexologic and Kid Icarus: Uprising multiplayer.
Ring fit for 30 minutes or so and probably some Warframe on PC.
Sword and probably some classic doom
I've started a new farm in Stardew Valley to explore the new update, and also because it's my most played game - 280+ hours. Otherwise, City Skylines has satisfied my city simming needs - picked it up after an irresistible sale price.
Luigis mansion and battlefield one
I'll be another one polishing off the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX demo - it's adorable!
After that, it's back to Astral Chain. I'm early into File 7, and feel like it's only now that I'm consistently getting S+ in the combat sections. Once the move combinations start piling up, it becomes enormously satisfying. Reminds me a little bit of Arkham Asylum in the way it rewards move variety more than outright skill - and I have no problem with that.
Currently playing Road Rash 2 on the Megadrive Mini. I mission today is to reconnect my Saturn in the living room. Having a bit of a retro day
@step_over "into the beach"
Is that an alternative version that I do not know of?
Trying to keep a daily routine going with Brain Training and Ring Fit Adventure. So far, I've gone 6 days straight. Hoping I stick with it
I'll be playing Digimon Story Cybersleuth (wow that game is big), some Links's awakening and Luigis Mansion! Lot's to do. Ooooh, and some Witcher 3 😊😊😊
Fire Emblem 3H and Pokémon for me. Waiting on Animal Crossing.
Just completed 'Fe' which was surprisingly fun and very atmospheric. Might go for 100% and do the collection tasks, otherwise probably a Diablo 3 session and maybe secure my top 5% position in CTR a little more.
@Anti-Matter Just finished play8ng Ratchet & Clank 1 from the HD trilogy last week, hadn't played it since the ps2 days! Crack in Time was one of my favourites, though. The radio jams whilst flying in space <3
@ShaiHulud yep, the sandbox version 😀
I should probably finish outer worlds and shovel knight king of cards but I feel like going back to my ps3 backlog.
So probably something like overlord, the darkness, transformers war for cybertron or prince of persia 08.
@ShaiHulud Misanthrope Pure?
I recently bought Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate half price with the sale. Played it hondreds of hours back on the 3DS, but don't have it anymore. Also no save to transfer so started from scratch again.
Love the Ultimate version so far.
Fire Emblem Three Houses!!!
I'm close to beating it with a second house
Luigi's Mansion 3, it's been a lot of fun and I'm just finishing up the gems and Boos before heading to what seems like the final boss. I hope if there isn't already that the game gets NG+ (e.g. something like the GC game's second mansion) and someday single player DLC gets announced.
After completing Luigi's Mansion 3 I'm probably returning to DQXI S.
I'll be making a sizeable dent on my Luigi's Mansion 3 adventure, perhaps even finishing it. I restarted it last week after initially playing the first few floors on my Switch Lite back in November. I decided to stop playing it at the time so I could save it for the big screen as it's such a good looking Game. So that's what I'm doing now and I can't get enough of it. I'm on the 10th floor. What a brilliant game!
I'll also be playing some Doom 1&2, the update they received is superb.
A little bit of Rush Rally 3, too. It's a good game but it could be better. It runs smoothly for the most part but it has its moments where it can be a bit rough. That I can live with but there's other times where it's like it skips a few frames altogether. It can be very off putting and it seems to be getting more common as I progress though my career. Sometimes it's done this as I'm turning a corner, causing me to crash. I hope they patch it and get the game running smoothly throughout as it's a really good racer otherwise. Well apart from the game crashing every single time I try to connect online.
Edit, just discovered an other issue with Rush Rally 3 and it's a strange one. If you start the game then try to view your screenshot album it causes the whole system to freeze. I had to hold down the power button for a few seconds to get it to restart. Not good at all.
Pokemon Omega Ruby, training up my Slowpoke in Pokemon Shield and probably some Dragon Quest XI. Still really not sure how I feel about DQ. The story seems quite good, but I feel like the world and music are quite bland. Only about 6 hours in so far so will keep going for now.
Smashbros all the way lol
Something tells me I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the Street Fighter 30th anniversary edition. In particular Third Strike. My main character was Ryu back on the Dreamcast version, I'm in the process of re-learning Chun Li who was my main character back in the original SF2 until they completely ruined her but she's brilliant in this.
Rush Rally 3, AO Tennis 2, and some Football Manager! Too many games to play, love the Switch!!
This week I will be mostly playing
Pokémon HeartGold
Snipperclips Plus
Star Fox 2
Pokémon Diamond
Lucky's Tale is fun and funny. Not too difficult so far--which is fine by me. Grid is as good as everyone says.
Happy gaming everyone!
Final Fantasy VI Brave New World 2.0!
@Jayofmaya Come again?
@step_over Love it!
Still grinding Asphalt 9 and breeding a decent Sheild team.
Want to make a start on some of the 10 cubic games from before xmas
Never put Mario Odyssey as the thumbnail again unless there's news for it. Got it excited for a second there. Lol
Anyways I've been playing Yoshis Crafted World and Tropical Freeze
Just started Dragon Quest XI on Switch. Never got the PS4 version for some reason, seems like a good port and decent game. Getting into Stars Wars Fallen Order. Stunning and even better then Code Vein.
King of Cards, which is excellent. Definitely my favorite campaign in the series.
Also, I'll try to work on some Alien Isolation DLC since I finished the main game.
@Jayofmaya I liked Fe also, it was better than the reviews that I read. I liked the way the visuals, sound and game play all came together. And seeing from the monsters perspective was cool and scary. Climbing the big elk was memorable. The game was definitely worth the time and money.
Have recently got back into Splatoon 2 and hooked all over again. Also will carry on my adventures in Pokémon Sword and some Wario Land on Gameboy.
@KitsuneNight Is there an option to remove the head bobbing on DOOM? I get motion sickness from some first person games.
Definitely Dragon Quest XI S, possibly Splatoon 2. Dragon Quest is so good, I can’t believe I slept on this series for so long.
@OorWullie I've had the occasional crash connecting online as well. Good game, hope the issues get sorted.
Other than Rush Rally 3 I'll be playing Enter the Gungeon and Fight n Rage.
Playing through Yooka Laylee and career mode on AO Tennis 2
Just hit the Wild Area in Sword for the first time, and pretty excited about what lies ahead (as well as about the box link device - after hoofing it around the place to edit the active teams in Blue, Moon and even World of Final Fantasy, I can't help appreciating the detail). I've also seen the fabled trees, and they cemented my doubt that the disgruntled snarkers in the fandom have ever seen an actual N64 game tree.😏
I'm also doing a few more Isaac runs - revisited and lingered with the game these holidays, and I'm still surprised how many playthroughs (comparatively) I actually manage to finish, considering my generally subspar roguelike performance. Perhaps thanks to the game being mostly about item and environment (and, in a way, even resource) management rather than pure reflexes.
Other plans on the weekend's menu include doses and/or bites of Bloodstained, BotW, Disgaea, TWEWY and Dual Destinies (Turnabout Reclaimed). And I'd like more of a sneak peek into Earthlock as well, even though I doubt I'll do a profound playthrough in the visible future.
I've been so good so far this year avoiding the sales but I'm getting weaker. Tempted by so much.
That said, I'll spend my time on Children of Morta which I've almost hit 20 hours on. Loving the stories of the Bergsons.
Going to try wrapping up Luigi's Mansion 3 this weekend. I hit the 10th floor, and I dont think I have much left to go. It's been a blast. Much better than Dark Moon.
I'm also playing some Full Metal Furies with my wife. We discovered there's an easier story mode, and now we're having MUCH more fun, since the default difficulty is absolutely BRUTAL.
Also picked up Donut County in the eshop sale yesterday, so I may start it after LM3. Am wondering as well if I should pick up Team Sonic Racing in the sale. 50% off seems like a pretty good deal.
@Late Helping the prince. It seems so long ago now. So much more to come for you. Brilliant game.
Half way through my 2nd playthrough of Fire Emblem 3 houses, can’t wait for the meat of the DLC content for this game
Lots of good games on the list. I’m doing ring fit atm. I’ve just done Labo kit 4, it was hard, but fun.
I don’t own any games on the list though.
@WiltonRoots I was going to get it at launch but the year was so busy that I decided to wait. I only played third of the demo back when it came out. Now's a good time to play it before the big releases start to come out again.
Liking the game so far. It hasn't done anything special yet but I've heard it just keeps getting better the more you play. Switched the camera to more traditional one since moving around felt pointless. I'm also choosing actions for each party member instead of them deciding on their own. I've never finished a Dragon Quest game, despite owning and playing multiple, but maybe this will be my first.
I've juste decided to go on a journey with Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U. The game was on my shelf since an eternity. I've downloaded the packs to get the smoother experience possible and dived into it.
So far I've juste played 10 hours and I can already tell I'm gonna spend at least 200 others in it. The game is so vast, so complex, so beautifull. Sure, the story seems so-so, but guess what ? It's not the point here.
The point is to explore, to go on an adventure. And boy, what an adventure.
I really, really hope that this game will be ported to switch (why not, if the remake of the first one sells well ?) so more and more people will be able to discover it.
What a masterpiece.
Starting my day with Ring Fit Adventure. It's my third day with the game and I'm loving it. Feeling sore in muscles I don't normally work out with, and very motivated to get back to it.
Later, I'll probably get back to Luigi's Mansion 3 and play some Dead Cells.
Finished pokemon and dragon quest over the last few weeks so I'm seeing what hooks me next. Will probably just play lots of Overwatch as 3 years on and it's still awesome, even on Switch.
I've mostly been playing the recently released Silver Falls for the N3DS. I wasn't expecting much from a late release game from a previously unknown developer, but it's surprisingly... Intriguing so far. Its low budget roots pop up here and there, but overall, I'm enjoying it. I hope this game sells well enough that the developer releases the other 3DS games they have planned.
I’ve headed back to my 3DS for some Monster Hunter 4. As I just finished Bayonetta on the Switch (blasted through that in a few days) I’m in that mood to keep hacking and slashing.
Also doing a bit of Mario Rabbids. I picked that up in the Christmas sale and I’m having a great time with it.
@sketchturner it is really really good but I found the card game boring (did not finish it). Story wise my favourites are shovel and spectre and gameplay wise plague and king
Playing lots of West of Loathing! Well, 6 hours since Dec 28...I also have a 6 month old so getting the willpower to sit and play a thing is hard haha
@Balta666 Yeah, I didn't enjoy the card game as much as I thought I might. But thankfully it's easily ignored. The level design is what I loved about it.
Not playing much today as decided to give the car a few km and enjoy the sunny day but I finally bought three houses last week and I am loving it so far and if I have time continue with the Witcher on pc (as I loved the third so much!)
@wazlon
I had a look but there isn't an option.
But are we talking about Doom 1 ( 1993 ) or Doom 4 ( 2016 ) ?
Cause I am playing Doom 1.
I’m up to the (I think) final dungeon in Ashen but it’s really hard so I’m having a break.
I’ve finally got the Dolphin emulator running on my iMac so I’m currently working my way through Zelda Windwaker which is absolutely stunning in glorious HD!
I’ve been chipping away at Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair, as well as getting around to playing the new post game content that got added to Celeste. The former is a jolly old romp, and the latter is phenomenal. I got stuck at one section a while ago and put it down, but having finally mastered (?) some of the new mechanics, working through the new levels has been a dream. Or perhaps, an exquisite nightmare. Either way, it’s been brilliant.
This weekend, most of my free time, will go towards playing Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, been wanting to play this for a while now, so it'll be good to get a chance to do so. Outside of that, I'm also going to try and find the time to start Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy, as well at some point.
1. Disco Elysium
PS4 taking a break till Kakarot next week. Still deciding what my next Switch game will be.
Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair seems like a good choice from comments above
Ori, The Touryst, Luigi's Mansion 3, Witcher 3, Astral Chain, Link's Awakening... I've got too many games to play!
I'm finally getting back to Luigi's Mansion 3. I'll also play some more Yooka Laylee Impossible Lair and some Vader Immortal episodes II and III on my Oculus Quest. I'll probably play some Super Mario Party and Wheel of Fortune with my wife, as well. Not a bad gaming weekend.
I'll be playing more Dragon Quest VIII on the 3DS this weekend; I'm not very far at all yet! I've spent most of my limited gaming time over this past week finishing off A Link to the Past and showed Ganon the door yesterday. There might've been a sword and some arrows involved. Maybe.
On the Switch front, I've still been working on SteamWorld Dig 2 on occasion. I may also give the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX demo a spin. Not sure if I'll get to much else on it this weekend, but I'm enjoying my time with it!
Have a great weekend!
@Late it was my first Dragon Quest too, it’s a long ride but it just gets better and better. Definitely my favourite game that came out in 2019. I’m normally a weekend warrior but this had me playing every day. It’s like following a gripping tv series.
Ring Fit Adventure every day, and then sessions of various other games, such as Dragon Quest II (mobile), DOOM (Switch), Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair (Switch), and The Witcher 3 (PC).
@SterlingEyes Oh cool enjoy. Yeah, amazing how well Dolphin cleans things up. Fan made texture packs are also great.
Once it got really stable, I realize I could trade in my hardware and just keep my games.
Replaying Super Mario Odyssey for the 4th time. Playing the new Doom II levels.
Continuing the adventure in Pokemon Sword. Have three badges now, and am really loving it so far. Will also probably pick up Stardew Valley on sale, and Box Boy on 3DS.
I'm off for a week from now so lots of time to catch up on gaming...starting with Days Gone which is an absolute blast!Thought I was near the end but turns out I just reached the half way point!
Also will be hunting ghosts with Luigi on Switch which I am loving..
I’m going try to finish Oceanhorn. I’ve then decided to go through the entire Luigi’s Mansion series. I’ll be beginning the first one on 3DS. I also play some more of Jedi: Fallen Order.
@Bobobiwan I really enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles X and hope that Monolith Soft brings it to the Switch at some point. The game really deserves more of an audience! Mira is a vast world that just begs to be explored. Noctilum is my favorite continent due to how the area looks at night.
Having beat both Yoshis Story and DKC2 this week I started my first play through of metroid zero mission. Im absolutely loving it and it rewards you often I feel. Thats one of my gripes with metroidvanias and thankfully, this squashes that.
On the switch front more witcher 3, the mystery dungeon demo, and if there's time, more Pokemon sword
Started Undertale last night and got hooked....so I'll probably continue that.
Other than that I'll probably finish Inside
Im Mostly gonna play the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Team DX demo, Animal Crossing on Gamecube, and Tony Hawk's Underground 2 on Gamecube as well.
I’m mostly playing a crap-ton of the ridiculously underrated single-player content in Towerfall. Other than that, I’ll be wrapping up Luigi’s Mansion 3’s main campaign, completing today’s Tetris 99 daily challenges and sampling the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon demo. That’ll do for starters!
Mystery Dungeon demo
Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition (Vita) - Literally just started this up and it seems ok so far.
Cut the Rope (Android) - Slowly moving through the first season with my daughter. On Foil Box now.
Hexic (Android) - Playing random puzzles.
@SterlingEyes most people here will know first hand (and legitimately) that Zelda WW looks glorious in HD because of the HD WiiU release! that we paid for
I’ll be continuing Witcher3 and AC4 Black Flag punctuated with GridAutosport and RL.
@ShaiHulud Ahh, Dune! My mistake. Worry not, kind sir.
@dugan Exactly, I was a tad confused on the story but I guess it's somewhat open for interpretation. Saw it on sale not long after it came out but had enough games to play and on the last sale it was even a few quid cheaper than that so finally got it. Can't argue with £6 for such a fun experience.
@beazlen1 hush now sweetheart.
I actually own the game so no problem emulating it for a better experience and have bought all of the Zelda games multiple times.
Finishing AC: Odyssey tonight. I mean really FINISHING it. DLC and all. Platinum. Haven't decided yet which game next. Something a little less long that's for sure. 8-12 Hours or something.
I'll continue FE three houses. I've started with the blue lions after finishing with Claude. I'm building the suspense towards playing with Edelgard.
I'm playing Let's Go Eevee, just doing some shiny hunting before going against Koga. Caught 2 so far while trying for different Pokemon; one is a shiny Nidoran female while trying for the male, and the other was a Rattata while trying for a Vulpix.
Well let's see... I just beat Bloodstained:RotN this past week, and I have a gaggle of downloaded games to play as I await my next GameFly game. My list is any of the following, or I may just dabble a bit in each:
Chasm (only kicked it off)
Batman: The Enemy Within (starting ch. 2)
Forgotton Anne (still early on)
Blaster Master Zero 2 (starting 2nd planet)
I have others, but this has my eye for now. I also am about to pick up some backlogged games that are on sale, such as Exception and Shakedown: Hawaii, so they will likely get air time too. So my memory doesn't erode to much, I may force myself to get back to Ghostbusters and Starlink-- It's been long enough now.
I've had the Rocket League bug for the past few weeks. Spent some time with a couple training packs. Starting to grasp aerials. I'm very avarage, sometimes squirrely, but my goalie game sometimes stands out in casual 3v3 since many in casual are weak at clearing the ball. Just ranked up to silver in 3v3 ranked, but getting crushed in there. Probably will get knocked back down.
It’s Dragon Quest XI S for me. I finally started up the post-game section, only to discover, the post-game is just more game! What an absolute delight that game is. I’ve put over 140 hours into it, and just when I think I’ve seen everything there is to see, it finds some new way of surprising and delighting me. If you have ANY interest in JRPGs, you owe it to yourself to play it.
F-zero on SNES online
Shovel Knight King of Cards
Crash Team Racing Nitro adventure on medium
Not playing anything this weekend.
At Miku Expo 2020 in London.
No time for games.
Project Diva rules.
Witcher 3, Pokemon, and maybe finish Untitled Goose Game. Finally making some progress on my backlog, albeit slow, but it’s progress.
@Tyranexx Clearly, this game cannot just stay in the history of the Wii U. I get it now, Wii U is dead, and that's a shame cause I loved this console (and I still do). But now, with the Nintendo Switch's extraordinary success, all I want is that more and more people are given the possibility to join the party. Mira cannot stay in the past, it just can't !
@Jayofmaya Ah, you must be talking about the band! Not too familar with them I must say.
If I get any time this weekend, it'll probably be devoted to Diablo III: Eternal Edition, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
@Bobobiwan I liked the Wii U too, and I agree, at this point Nintendo just needs to rip off the band aid and port the rest of the titles over to the Switch. Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wonderful 101, Twilight Princess, Windwaker, Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3. Bring them over.
1. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Recently rejuvenated my love for the star wars franchise and am having a blast with this game.
2. Wrapping up some feats on Specter of Torment. After King of Cards released, I decided to 100% the franchise but backwards, and I think I can finish my remaining Specter feats over this weekend.
Some Tetris 99, and either some DQXI or some Wargroove. Also wanna check out that Mystery Dungeon demo....
A Link to the Past. Finished Misery Mire last night and just have Turtle Rock, Ganon's Tower and the final boss left. I'm missing 8 heart pieces so I might go for those too. Got the piece from the chest mini-game first try (thanks to the rewind function. I don't think it's cheating )
Probably finish Luigis Mansion 3 and continue Final Fantasy VIII, Manticore GoF and the Contra collection. Might jump back into Pokemon Shield as well.
Smash Bros, Astral Chain and maybe jump back on the Sega Genesis Mini.
Pokemon Sword and Shield have taken over my free time
I am playing pokemon shield and super Mario u deluxe.
Pokémon Sword - Really need to find someone with Shield to trade the exclusives and complete my Pokédex.
Where can I buy SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays? I don’t see this game in U.S eshop
Witcher 3, I’m also addicted to Overwatch!
I'm completing my pokédexes across Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and Alola and making deposits at my Pokémon Bank as i'm collecting and trading away on Pokémon Platinum, White, Y, and Moon
Literally just bought Bloodstained Curse of the Moon & Sayonara Wild Hearts as they're both on sale. Was able to beat them BOTH in just a few hours! (Nice surprise considering my backlog). Really liked Curse of the Moon and would recommend it to anyone that likes (or wants to get into) a good Metroidvania style game. The music was awesome! Will now get back into some DQ11 for Sunday.
Started playing Timespinner - never felt so bored.
Invited a friend and we started playing RE6 - what an awesome coop game!!
The remake of the old Disney classic PC game, Toontown Rewritten! Trying to max out my Sellbot suit, at lvl 42 (max is 50) so I'm almost there! Have a great weekend everyone!
@Bobobiwan I likewise love the Wii U and really wish more people had experienced the system, but it's hard to deny that Nintendo made some missteps there. I personally don't mind that a lot of its best games are making the Switch; many of them deserve a larger audience.
I’ll be continuing my Pokémon Shield adventure.. I’m having mixed feelings about it so it’s been a slow go for me. Also playing Wolfenstein The New Order on Xbox which is a blast. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age (Switch)
Sundered Eldritch Edition (Switch)
World Of Final Fantasy Maxima (Switch) with my daughter before bedtime.
Finished Luigi Mansion 3, collected all the gems...skipped the boos.
Finished dragon quest ix on the ds. Great game. Spent a day or two grinding and destroyed the final bosses with ease.
Started Ori and the blind Forrest. Only played for about an hour or so l, but like what I have seen so far.
The Direct got me back on Pokemon so I finished the main story in Pokemon Shield, now filling up dex and doing all the extra stuff.
Still playing through Jedi: Fallen Order as well. What a great game.
Moon Cresta.
Just discovered this old arcade fave. I plowed many coins into this at a kid on holiday. An early, early game obsession. $4 well spent
honestly, i am having still dead by daylight fever hahaha 1k hours and counting ... but i wanna start botw again . bought the season pass finally during the christmas sale - but everytime i start my switch, i end up playing dbd xD . and tetris 99 of course ;D also bought the big block dlc and i try to unlock every theme with those stupid tickets hehe
Getting close to completing Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible lair, so will be playing clean-up with some of the remaining TWIT coins I missed. Also started Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the first time yesterday, so I’ll be continuing that too of course!
PS4: God Of War
Wii U: Yoshi's Woolly World
Switch: Diablo 3
Got Marvel Pinball for 3DS in the sale.
I have been addicted to Superhot and have played that for nearly 5 hours in the first week.
And also been playing Return of the Obra Dinn, boy that is one hard game. It's definable better to play it slower and understand it. Then too rush through it.
1. Pokemon Shield
2. The Sims 2 and/or The Sims 4
@KitsuneNight Thanks for responding, I was referring to Doom 1.
@wazlon
I honestly did not notice any headbobbing, but there is no option to turn it off .

Game like no other
@ShaiHulud Not bad if you like melodic hardcore. Though, some songs are more catchy than others. I mostly listen to Monumental Hearts or Misanthropy Pure.
@Jayofmaya Ah, not really my cup of tea normally (I mostly listen to metal and classical music), but might give them a go just because of their name.
@ShaiHulud Nice! I also listen to those genres. Name me a few artists if you have time!
Late to the party, but I played A Link Between Worlds at length and it was a glorious time. Love this game.
@Jayofmaya Oof, that would be a massive shout in de dark considering the width of these genres! What do you like? Classically I mostly listen to baroque and romantic stuff, metalwise it's mostly black, prog, death and doom.
@ShaiHulud Well, I am starting to record a progressive metal song myself this week with my friend who does producing! I have a midi preview up on SoundCloud. The representation of the singing vocals obviously isn't good in it haha
Well, I think at the moment I listen to Auras and Aviations (if you prefer more heavy melodic Auras "Chimerical" but maybe Rush heavy prog rock influenced with more major melodic sections then Aviations "Captain No Beard" but the entire "Light Years" album is amazing).
As far as classical I'm really looking to expand as I only listen to Mozart and Bach really. I know there are modern composers and less known ones I need to try! If you also like midern death metal I like Black Dahlia Murder and Fit for an Autopsy.
@Jayofmaya Nice! I haven't recorded anything for a long time but I used to do some vocals for a mate of mine.
Thanks for the tips, hadn't heard of either of them! If you're into your djent/prog you can't go without mentioning the godfathers Meshuggah, who you probably know already. I quite like Inmazes by VOLA, which is a more mellow version of the genre. Otherwise Pelegial by The Ocean is terrific, which is more of a concept album with more hardcore-like vocals.
Have you listened to the Rachmaninoff piano concertos? I've found that most people seem to like them, even if they're not that familiar with the whole genre.
I'm not too much of a fan of death metal core I have to say - although I'm all over the place for things I do like Bands like Immolation, Bloodbath, Sulphur Aeon, Nile etc.
@ShaiHulud Ahh, cool dude. As I'm writing and recording all instruments by myself I could do with a vocalist and a whole band otherwise no live shows haha
I live in a small part of the UK, though.
Meshuggah are fantastic, I used to be a drummer before primarily switching to guitar and I have tried the kick pattern in "Bleed" on friends kits now and then. Not happening! Haha
Also, I got to see VOLA at a festival (Radar UK) my friend helped organise last year. They were fantastic.
I don't know The Ocean so I'll have a listen in a sec.
Also, nope I will listen to those classical pieces too!
I'm familiar with Nile, but not the others.
Perhaps you would like tech death, Beyond Creation and Archspire?
@Jayofmaya It think it's been 10 years or so, so not sure if my growls are still working decently! Whereabouts do you live in the UK?
I've drummed a bit as well but no way I could drum something as Bleed
That latest Achspire album was brilliant! Good album cover too. Haven't heard of Beyond Creation, but I can see on last.fm that similar artists feature Necrophagist, Obscura and Gorod, which is a good thing
I live in Guildford, Surrey. Though, I'm also a bit further south a lot. What about you?
Nice dude! Did you ever learn any full songs? The toughest I can play is Insistence Phase by My Bitter End, probably. That's a nice melodic death metal type song if you haven't heard it. Has a few power chord pattern moments but not much
Oh, yeah dude. Check them out, I suggest "Surface's Echoes".
Also, I listened to The Ocean. Fantastic. Reminded me a bit of Tool, here and there, also reminded me of heavier stuff, even Shai Hulud in places and almost like it was all topped with Chris Cornell coming in and having input with some old Soundgarden style vocals and riffs.
