Another week, another dollar - that's how that goes, right? This one has seen Smash Bros. reveals, patches bringing games up to the standard we'd have liked to see them at launch, and more lovely Switch ports heading our way. And now it's finally time to sit down and chat about our weekend plans.

Members of Team NL have done just that below and we'd love for you to join in via our poll and comment sections, too. Enjoy!

Having seen that Neonwall has received a little Labo VR update, I might be tempted to dig out the ol' Goggles and see how its VR experience holds up on Switch. I managed to 'finish' Dead Cells last week (okay, not really - I just completed a run for the first time), so although I'd love to stay the rest of my copious backlog is calling me. Next up is either Hyper Light Drifter or Axiom Verge. From what I hear I can't lose with either, so I'll be tossing a coin.

Having won all my gym badges, I've also got the endgame of Pokémon Sword and Shield to get down to at some point. I say 'endgame', but that's not really true, is it - there's loads of post-game, too. Do any games ever actually end these days?!

This weekend I’m finally getting around to some of those smaller Switch releases I’ve been wanting to play - specifically Little Town Hero, Doraemon: Story of Seasons and Ni no Kuni. They’ve been sitting in my downloads, waiting for me to dig in for months now. Of course, I’ve played Ni no Kuni on PS3 before, but it’s one of those beautiful games you can easily pick up again on another console and enjoy all over again. We’ve got a giant snowstorm coming, so it should be a fairly relaxed weekend of continuing to make progress on the ol’ backlog!

I won't be getting around to much gaming this weekend unfortunately, but I've recently gotten absolutely addicted to DOOM and DOOM 2, so I'll no doubt be booting those up during the quieter moments. I bought both of them when they launched on the Switch thanks to the insanely low price, but something definitely felt really off at the time. Thankfully, with the latest patch, they look and play better than I remember, and I'm loving it!

I’ve been making some excellent progress in DAEMON X MACHINA and plan to continue to do so this weekend. Astral Chain is taking a back seat because I am still hooked to developing new mobile suits in SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays and mixing up squads. I will probably take a stab at Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, too, a game that deserves a second chance at the spotlight.

Game of the week is the stylish and surprisingly relaxing Super Crush KO. Gotta keep those S Ranks flying!

This weekend I'll be trying out Puzzle & Dragons GOLD on the Nintendo Switch. Although I own the two-in-one Super Mario Bros. Edition on the 3DS, I never really played the Puzzle & Dragons part of the game in the end, so I look forward to seeing what this series has to offer in the latest iteration.

Apart from this, I'm thinking of revisiting Fire Emblem: Three Houses after the recent announcements for it, and if I get any extra time I'll see how Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE holds up in its encore on Switch. That's it for me this weekend.

Which games are you playing this weekend?
