@Sabrewing I’ve never played any of the Mana games but you sold the heck out of this one to me with this comparison!

If they release them, I’ll buy them because I love them. However, I would rather see perhaps Ocarina of time and Majoras mask; the latter being one I haven’t played.

WW and TP have been rereleased already, it would just be nice to have something different.

So long as there’s some loz anniversary goodies (my personal prefs would be ocarina, and majoras… the latter I haven’t played) I’ll be happy, and I’m fully prepared to just enjoy the show 🍿

I’ve been looking forward to this! I was a huge telltale and Lucas arts fan but somehow this particular series passed me by. That’s a fantastic price point for a decent amount of game hours.

Wow I’ve played quite a few of these already and really enjoyed them. Thimble weed Park is on my ‘must get it’ list.

One that’s been missed that I recommend is Tuberbrook, it’s not perfect in terms of story but it’s worth a play throughout the physical version comes with a lovely little booklet 😉

I played ALL the games back in the day, some were great, some not but this series has a very special place in my nostalgia banks 😍. Can’t wait to see what they have in store!

@Coach_A agreed, the linear movement would drive me crazy after a while I think. The visuals make me want to know what’s over the hill but I can’t move where I want to look...

No mention of an old favourite Medievil? That’s got to be a big influence on this game and I honestly can’t wait to dive into this. It looks like it should be great fun, and taps into all the things that made the crazy platforms of that area brilliant in all their crazy silliness.

Am I going to spend money and actually, in this current climate, risk going to the cinema to see this? No.

Will I watch it once it comes to Sky, very likely. It looks like trash, but actually like fun watchable trash... 🤣

@DaniPooo early in movie yes but they are already on the world (notice the great big Diablo)

I fear they have fallen for the age old mistake of thinking that to make it palatable for a wider audience and not just monster Hunter fans, they need to add in the big guns. What a pity. There are plenty people who will willingly watch movies set within a well developed fantasy world but this looks like they have taken fright and tried to ‘modernise’ it.

The art style is nice, I like what I see so far so this will most likely end up on my play list.

@Clyde_Radcliffe I just find Mario a little weightless if that makes sense compared to controlling characters in more modern titles. He can be a bit all over the place until you get used to it again.

So I’m playing Super Mario 64 and having a lot of fun. With that said WOW are those controls fluffy 🙈🤣 so frustrating at times, and proof we have come a long way. Still, it’s good fun and I got goosebumps when I heard Mario welcome me in again 😍

That to me sounds like a life well lived! Good on him, we are only here once.

I mean.... it hurts my eyes to be honest, from a design point of view it looks AWFUL. But they have to do it 😬

@Yodalovesu agreed, the actual narrative is beautiful, it’s worth playing for that alone. The narrator’s voice is so lovely too ❤️ Yes there are dips in performance but they are so fleeting it doesn’t really impact on the lovely experience in my opinion.

I haven’t played any of the warrior games yet, nearly bought the last one several times but always backed out. Kind of glad now because this looks like an epic intro to the games for me!

Hmmm ok Square, that’s massively disappointing 😟. I’m no game dev but I find it strange that they feel these would be too difficult when you see what else we already have.

If we get a tv only ‘upgrade’ I’ll be very disappointed to be honest, I simply can’t get the dedicated tv time to play like that anymore and the whole reason I adore the switch so much is it’s versatile nature. To be able to play on the tv when I can but to just lift out and continue handheld has to be one of the best innovations for some time, one that I’m more than willing to sacrifice some souped up power/performance for...

@Clyde_Radcliffe agreed, honestly all the moaning is actually really starting to get me down... where’s the joy for a total nostalgia trip? That era gave us some of the most fun and immersive games I’ve had the pleasure to play and inspired many more in the same vein, let’s celebrate it people!

It helps perhaps that I really pick and choose which games I spend my money on, I have a fairly meaty Switch game collection but I only spend on the ones I’m certain about, including the indies so the price point doesn’t bother me if I know I’m going to get value for money (which I measure in play time, entertainment value, difficulty etc not how old the game is)

WHY are people so desperate to hold these old games to modern game standards? I’m pumped to get play 64 and galaxy again and sunshine for the first time. For me this is 100% a collectible piece of nostalgia, I’m sure it will play fine, and would far rather Nintendo was using its time to work on those new games we are all desperate for Metroid and BOTW2 for example, than upgrading these massively. Happy to play and remember them as they were.

Well I’ve just preordered 3D Allstars and can’t wait! What a trip down memory lane Mario 64 is going to be, and i havent pkayed Sunshine before. Looking forward to the other ganes coming too. 🙌🏻

Bioshock is well worth the money, I bought the cart a while back and have completed all three, and will likely play through again at some point. I thought the ports were good quality.

Seriously considering Borderlands but still think I would prefer the physical one...

For YEARS people have clamoured for third party support for Nintendo, now we have it, they aren’t releasing enough of their own stuff 🙃 damned if you do, damned if you don’t me thinks.

I mean, the market is flooded with games, not all of them are anything like worth your time but still...

Star Wars is on my must have list, the original games were fantastic, those and the Indiana ones helped me get pretty hooked on the lego games overall. Little Nighmares 2 is a day one; must get the first out again and have another go. Need to have a proper look through some of the others on here too.

The Gollum game and Smalland are my top two here, although there were quite a few that grabbed my interest. Nice wee lineup really!

This looks fantastic, it looks like they have taken the gameplay of the first and really enhanced it with little tweaks to what the characters can do. I loved the first one and was one of the loud voices screaming for it on switch. This will be a day one buy for me.

Let’s hope it is sooner rather than later, I can’t see a better fit for the switch and it’s fab base.

@KryptoniteKrunch not to mention it’s only games they aren’t interested in that people scream about, there seems to be plenty clamouring for the likes of older Mario and Zelda games, some of the Zelda ones would be on at least their third spin too...

For the record, I have no problem with any of the ports, I’m more than happy to see games I’ve missed or particularly loved come back. I tend to sell the my old hardware and software to pay for the new stuff.
