I would love to see this game on switch, it was one of my personal favourites on WiiU, apart from the Lego games and Twilight Princess.

I know others have said they are concerned it may be the final nail in the Pikmin 4 coffin, personally I think it could be a good sign that things are happening with that title in that we are getting a wee refresher on the series first. I can hope...

@elpardo1984 the only thing that puts me off is the turn based fighting, it’s not a style I like so that kind of puts me off these games.

I haven’t played any of the xenoblade games and have always been a little nervous too. This does look very pretty indeed so maybe it’s time to dip a toe in.

They had me at the name in all honesty haha! Love a skull I do, but the gameplay looks interesting too and the characters look fab, I will be picking this up.

Interesting. Funny too of course! I wonder if this means we will eventually be able to use that fourth level? I find it very odd that we can build but not use it.

@sunnisideup currently keeping her around, wasn’t sure she would be for me with her wee grumpy expression but she’s actually very sweet and funny to watch.

Struggling to see the issue here... it’s a cartoon... fictional, I’m pretty sure I can take this for what it is in terms of just a silly game and not some representation of real life. Unlike as others have pointed out, COD etc which do draw directly from wars.

Is it a tad on the gory side? Yeah, but then so is Binding of Isaac is it not? Maybe I’m the wrong person to comment given that I far prefer Graveyard keeper to Stardew Valley.

If this goes back to the game play of the original Star Wars, the Indiana and the likes of The Hobbit and Lord of the rings game then I will be a very happy gamer. I’m really looking forward to this.

Woke up to it already installed which was a nice wee surprise. Busy day on my island. Ankha is in the process of moving in, the Nooklings are upgrading the store, and Leif is here with wonderful bushy wares. 🥰

I’m beginning to worry that I am a Tom Nookin the making.

My island still looks pretty basic, having put all my time and money into my own house, only just getting the shop upgrade tomorrow.

In terms of villagers I AM keen to get the ones I really want, maybe because I haven’t played the series before so want the best possible experience from it.

With that said though, I wouldn’t be paying for them, will just have to play the long game. I found Ankha today and not sure I want to keep her, so will offer her to others but I won’t be expecting the sacrifice of your first born to take her!

@Seananigans exactly this! The game is completely based around completing tasks and waiting for the results. I don’t feel the desire to time travel at all. If I miss collectibles during events, then so be it.

@nessisonett but this is a desert island escape, I think it makes sense that things become available in a staggered way in this game while you build your new island community, it would feel weird to me to be able to do everything right away.

I have become an official resident in ACNH, spending more time there than in the real world 🙈 let’s face it, it is far more pleasant right now!!

It must be a case of needing the full islands worth of villagers because I know I have completed those criteria and still have the original shop.

Yeah, time travelling is not for me, kind of like peeping at your Christmas presents early, it just doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. I missed out on some of the cherry blossom recipes this year, was that annoying, maybe a little for about 5mins but there’s a big part of me that knows I have them to look forward to next time around.

I had a shower last night, and found three small, one large and two ares fragments, which I think pretty much matches my wishes. Too early to form an opinion though for me really. But my gut feels a little like it’s a game, shouldn’t there be a little bit of chance at play? If we just get loads then it takes the fun out of it for me.

I take it the blossom stuff will happen again next year? Just had a look and I have missed a few recipes from it, so hoping we get the chance again next year.

Wow that bunny is Agro 🤣🤣 makes me laugh so hard when I speak to them haha! Everything crafted and time to sell me eggs now. I will leave the Bunny day horror room for today and then clear it out ready to be a bathroom 🤪. I have fun with this, and think I have all the cherry blossom recipes, couldn’t make the wand sadly, maybe next year.

Anything that gives these sims a little of a weird edge gets the thumbs up from me.

Interesting to read through all the comments. I am an AC newbie, so a lot of the things that are apparently missing, I have never experienced. I find it interesting that people seem to be annoyed at the thought of content being added as DLC. I personally couldn’t disagree more, I’m happy that things aren’t being spoiled for me too much, and that each new thing is a surprise and therefore exciting! The last thing I want is to visit somebodies island and see a bunch of stuff from a festival that isn’t meant to be happening yet. There were a couple of islands that I know people have been time travelling, and it leaves me a little sad about it, my island is coming along now, but I’ve enjoyed having to work for it, that’s half the joy isn’t it?

I was all set to be disappointed with the game, to find it boring or monotonous but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. Maybe too much so, as I’m spending a LOT of time in ACNH while doing my bit and staying in!

Style wise it reminds of The Lure of the Temptress... oops my age is showing 🙃. I like the look of it so far, so will be keen to keep an eye on it.

Seem to me that a lot of people are missing the point of this as a slow paced game. You aren’t meant to be blasting through everything at a crazy pace, personally I think the arrivals thing is pretty cute maybe I’m just not swimming in friends but I haven’t experienced any massive waits due to multiple visitors.

Most of the friends I now have are also strangers apart from online chat here or Facebook, I am yet to have anyone come to my island and wreck it, quite the opposite, we have exchanged goods, chatted about where we are from in real life etc, all pleasant and chilled.

That’s mind blowing 🤯 here’s me feeling all proud to place furniture and have it look good 🤣

@Wormold you can grab an item in your inventory and separate them from the bunch so you could take 5 off your pile of 17 that way before you send. You just press and hold a if I remember correctly

This is the first time I have been able to sit down and enjoy it. Total newbie to it and seem to be having trouble snagging a fish 🙈 I’m sure it’s not meant to be difficult to do haha! It’s a nice distraction for sure.
