Pumpkin Jack is preparing for a spooktastic launch on Switch later this week, so what better time is there to see more gameplay footage ahead of the big day?
The game's publisher, Headup, has shared with us this brand new launch trailer, and it's packed to the brim with exciting platforming action. We get to see some of Jack's battle techniques – such as his focus on dodging and timing, as well as a variety of weapons – and some of the eerie locations you'll be exploring in the game.
This PS2 era-inspired platformer seemed to go down really well when we shared the game's release date announcement earlier this month, so we imagine a fair few of you will be thinking of giving it a go when it arrives on the eShop. It launches on 23rd October priced at $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, with a 20% launch discount being available for a limited time.

For the people who loved a Hat in Time.
@HotGoomba Oeh! you have me intrigued.
Same quality?
@Friendly Looks that way, I would venture this game would play more like darksiders 2 than anything else tho.
This looks like my jam!
Oh man that camera looks janky... I don’t know if I could deal with that.
Why is this game more expensive for EU folks? 30 usd is 25 Eur according to my calculator.
@PosterBoy eu price has tax included. Us price is without tax.
@aznable agreed, i hope they will let the camera have a more fixed place on the z-axis...
@Friendly The Demo is on Steam, and I really like this, more so than Hat of time. It was only 30 mins of play but it was fantastic. The developer said it's going be around 6-8 hours completion, so it's reasonably priced as well.
I want a physical edition for this. Hope someone picks it up.
Demo was fun as hell, so I'll be grabbing this!
@aznable The developers call the game a "celebration of PS2 era platformers" so the camera is for authenticity 🤣.
So pumped!!!! Can not wait to get this game
Looks good, but will wait for the reviews as the controls could be rubbish
@Muddy_4_Ever That’s some A grade spin right there
Is this the Luigi's Mansion killer we've been hoping for? 🤪 (click bait title)
Good looking environments. I'm cautiously interested. The sooner the reviews, the sooner I decide to whether to buy.
Is there confirmation that the video is representative of the Switch version of the game?
I'm getting increasingly wary of the bait (trailers) and Switch - Cloudpunk, outer worlds, mothered...
@shazbot good question
Apparently this game is a one-guy effort, which always has me intrigued!
Nicolas seems like a very efficient artist, judging from his Twitter feed, but whether he's a good game designer, time will tell. :3
@shazbot I am wondering the same thing!
I'm staying cautious. The developer hasn't shown any Switch footage so I expect it to run at 10fps.
In the BEST POSSIBLE way, that trailer gives me serious Epic Mickey vibes!
as long as it gets a minimum 7/10 I will get it.
@GannonBanned So... pumpk’ed? Like pumpkin? Get it? 😂
that is a supposedly spookier version of MEDIEVIL
No mention of an old favourite Medievil? That’s got to be a big influence on this game and I honestly can’t wait to dive into this. It looks like it should be great fun, and taps into all the things that made the crazy platforms of that area brilliant in all their crazy silliness.
Cool looking forward to this😀
@BlubberWhale haha that’s a gourd one
Can't believe one guy set out to make a 3D platformer on his own. Wish him good luck.
@Skoffo ha! I see your comment now, I must have been in the process of writing and posting mine
@HotGoomba AHiT is one of my favorite platformers of all time and I played the demo for this game and it sucked imo.
@EdwardElric well that's not a good sign...
@GannonBanned Oh no, what have I started!? 😂😅 Haha, but yeah, this game looks pretty dang fun
@HotGoomba I bought the game and it's pretty good, it's a solid 7/10 for me.
