Red Switch looks nice, but not as cool as my gray one. Not feeling the blue joycon grip or joycon straps.

The switch pro is just the switch just with the Carrying Case and a screen protector.

@PikaPhantom I'm pretty sure the Mario reds were discontinued, but I agree that they would have been the more appropriate choice.

@RupeeClock mine does the same thing with the fan in handheld mode, and it does it sometimes and not others. its annoying that's for sure.

@Burning_Spear I think they were discontinued, which is a shame because I have the Mario red and they look great, but we've had to send controllers in for repair multiple times (one time, they even replaced the Joy-Con outright, thankfully the replacement wasn't like neon red or something). This would've been a perfect opportunity to bring them back

This is so cool! Makes me wish Nintendo went the distance with the Animal Crossing special edition system last year, as well - I would have loved to have an off-white Switch body and grip!

The only thing I'm thirsty for out of the lot is that carry case. That's a nice carry case.

It’s nice, and will be collectible, but it needs a bit more Mario branding. It just looks like a Red and Blue Switch that someone could have customised.

The Joycons needed the iconic M. The Switch Dock could have also had the print that Carry Case has. I do like how when the Joycons are in the Grip though, it all resembles his iconic Dungarees and Jumper.

7.5 out of 10. Too much red. Should be more blue. Like the dock could have been blue and the switch red or vice versa.

This looks genuinely amazing. I'm jealous of anyone who gets this version of the Switch because it looks beautiful. The colors vividly pop and it's perfectly Mario-themed.

I think it looks nice... Until I imagine it sitting on my entertainment center. It would stand out glaringly bright among all the black equipment sitting around it.

It seems we are slowly getting in special edition console territory. As a Zelda collector, i pray that the inevitable zelda edition comes after a Pro model being released and not being the original one

It's actually pretty pretty. Still have my launch day Switch, but when they make a Zelda anniversary one, and / or a stronger model, I'll upgrade eventually. There was a time when I'd have bought this one as well, as well as the earlier "upgrade" and the Lite... That is not now though. But a Zelda one or a new model that has MORE features (not less) and hopefully better analog sticks (because I DID have to SWITCH joy cons more than once for drifting, and I don't like the small amount of travel either,and haven't found any alternatives that have all the good features and better sticks and + control pad and is available in Europe... And in no way am I going to get robbed my masked men at the post office again, holding my parcel hostage to pay "import tax" because THEY opened MY parcel, found nothing they consider bad inside, and just want to extort some money anyway). I don't even live in Soviet Russia, but here, post office robs you.

My launch Switch is knackered so I need a new one, but I just know if I buy this there will be a Switch Pro released a couple of months later!

The kick-stand was already low-effort... now it's even worse.

While my initial reaction was enthusiastic, I assume that the Joy-Con are the dark red ones that released alongside Odyssey.

I just want the Joy-Con straps and that sexy blue grip.

While the red console is nice and all, it probably won't blend well with most Joy-Con colours.

Maybe could have made the analog sticks yellow to look like the buttons on his overalls though. I think that could have been a really neat finishing touch. But I'd have to see it in finished form just to be doubly sure.

I like the look of this, especially with a lot of switches being less colourful, I do love my smash edition switch but I do wish the artwork on the dock was colour and not grey

I'm often tempted by special hardware like this, but I usually get Nintendo consoles day one or shortly after, so actually buying one isn't a good idea.

Not my favorite shade of red (or blue), but the fact that the console itself finally has been given a unique color is a good sign for future special editions, specifically a beautiful BOTW2 Switch.

It's kind of plain and generic...not a fan, they could've done some cool artwork or etchings on the dock or controller or something.

This is the console that should have launched with Mario Odyssey.

The Switch dock would look better if some Super Mario characters were on this in white (similar to the animal crossing bundle) also it would look good if one of the joycons was blue.

I can see colorful Switches being popular for families with small children, they always seem to buy those cheap pink tablets. Nothing for me though, my red joy-cons gives Switch all the colors it needs

@PikaPhantom I was thinking the same thing about the red color being slightly off. I wonder if it's just the lighting/studio in the pictures that makes it seem more orange or neon red than the deep Mario red. We may have to wait and see actual unboxing and comparisons for the true colors.

Not looking too promising for a Switch pro anytime soon, hope I am wrong though.
