@SwitchedOn_Games I don’t get the weird fit for switch either. I pick up and play all the time, thankfully my memory seems to be holding up well enough for me to remember what I was doing last time 🙃. This game is well worth a go I think, i have put a good bit of time in and pretty sure I still have a lot to discover yet!

Have to say, I don’t fully agree with the sentiment of this review.

Yes, you do need to pay attention to what you are doing and learning and yes you do need to gather. But when did something being a little harder (and taking a little thought) translate to it being a bad game?

I preordered the game and have been playing it quite a bit. I prefer it to Stardew in a few ways, yes it’s harder and yes some of the quests can take quite some time to complete but you have several on the go at the same time and it gives you time to learn the mechanics.

It reminds me of games like Lure of the temptress back in the day. You aren’t spoon fed how to complete each quest. Besides, saying Stardew quests were quick is bonkers! Some stuff required you to wait whole seasons or longer to complete!

@Wazeddie22 I actually preordered it and then spent the 26th periodically checking to see when it was playable haha!

I am really enjoying it, I hope they add dlc at some point too, I can see them being able to do a lot with it.

@Kidfunkadelic83 😬 yikes!!! I will be keeping an eye on it then, they aren’t supposed to take payment unless it’s a third party seller. I certainly can’t afford to be paying for it right now either.

Well I knew I kept that £20 Amazon voucher for a reason! The Limited edition of this was too hard to pass up, and my finger might have slipped and bought the amiibo too... oopsy! 😍

Having never played any of the gameboy games, I am really excited for this!

@LavaTwilight it is basically a graphically enhanced version of the original game. Well worth picking up if you are a fan of the series. I will be, even though I have lost count of how many copies I have!

Oh graveyard keeper. At last! Need to look on switch and see when it will be fully available, but will probs go ahead and preorder it.

Super excited to see what they do. I loved BOTW. The sandbox style, the need to find weapons, and the characters and landscapes. I have play about 250hrs and still haven’t completed all the DLC and found everything.

I don’t hear any words hat I can distinguish but the impression is of twilight or fi for sure.

I seem to be going against the grain here but I would honestly be disappointed if they gave link a back seat and Zelda the lead... of it ain’t broke and all that. I love Link the somewhat reluctant hero, he always seems surprised at his successes.

All I know is, a dark (and they seem to be promising that it will be the darkest yet!) iteration is going to be fantastic and I really can’t wait!

Soooo not that I am rewatching this lots.... but the music in reverse, I wonder if they are going to do some sort of reverse time to before link was put into his sleep at the start of Breath of the wild... regardless, I am excited!!

I can’t see this being a long wait, this has been bubbling away for a while. LOVING the darker vibe I am getting from it. Certainly looks like they are under the castle, all very exciting. I never got to play Majora’s mask (think I might have been busy with babies at that time) bring it on Nintendo!!

@JasmineDragon a quick swoop round the internet and I think you will be pleasantly surprised, I honestly think the fan base would be up in arms if they didn’t stick to the formula that made the film so great.

I think what the series benefits from is better camera equipment and lighting!

@GrailUK Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Legend, The last Unicorn... I could go on. I have copies of these on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray (yeh.. geek I know, proud of it!)

Reading about the series, it sounds every bit as much a labour of love as the film.

@ThanosReXXX agreed. All you see is moaning about everything being too similar, nothing original. The slap this in and people can’t wrap their head around something different!

@JasmineDragon it’s being produced by Jim Henson’s Company it is also using puppetry, no CGI used. Green screen stuff is being used to remove the puppeteers only.

@Ralizah it’s a thing because the long awaited series is finally being released in August. There was a sequel promise for years but it kept falling through. Fans of the original are understandably excited to see the series and a game is a massive surprise bonus.

@ThanosReXXX I am guessing they don’t know the series, the characters have a very unique look (my little brother was terrified of this back in the day!)

I have been watching and waiting for the series for years. This game is a complete surprise and I really can’t wait! The original film was a puppetry masterpiece.

The Star Wars Lego games were some of the absolute best! I will be buying this for sure.

I come from a position where when I started playing games, I didn’t care about frame rates etc, you picked up w game because it looked fun...

One point I would like to make, in the comparisons to PS4, I have to say I don’t like the shading in the PS4 version for people at least, I feel it looks too bright in sections.

Well that’s a bummer and a half. I was considering buying this as my end of degree treat. I haven’t played the series before (my kids have and loved it) so was keen to get my turn....

Nope... managed all of two seconds... I officially hate ASMR.... it makes me feel like I want to peel my own skin off 😬😬. You could get her mouth noises between words, sorry but that’s like noisy eating.... can’t cope... 🥴🥴

Personally I can’t play games in VR, my husband bought the kit for PlayStation and bought me Skyrim but I just can’t use it, the movement makes me dizzy and nauseous almost instantly. He doesn’t feel quite so bad but can only play things for so long.

I think some people are able to tolerate it more than others but I know that a game like Zelda would make me feel ill rapidly.

Still holding onto the dream that AC will be a big deal at E3 and they will be giving us a close release date...

I will be playing Truberbrook. Started it a few nights ago and love everything about it! The art style is very pretty (think motion stop animation like Coraline) and so far I am liking the characters. It’s very Wes Anderson, and I am so glad I bought the boxed edition.

Once again... another heart stopper moment and then the realisation there is no new news 😩

Bought this first thing and hope to play it over the weekend. So excited by this! If it gets a physical and plays well I might even buy it twice....

Wow. Talk about serious nostalgia trip. One of my first computer game experiences was a text based game on my mums old BBC computer.

A little bummed not to have a box version with that super stunning visual on it. However this game is something I have wanted to play for so long. I can’t wait!

It’s very nice. So far I haven’t bought any other controllers other than the joy con but this is tempting.

This looks good. Haven’t heard of it but puzzles and a lil bit of combat is a win win.

I take it there’s no release date yet?

I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am! I am a massive LOTR geek, owning multiple copies of the books, all the movies in various formats and editions, and the radio plays... not to mention all the merch I own.

Great news but still leaves us with the missing middle....

Our entire local area has shocking internet. Most of Scotland and a fair amount of the UK for that matter struggle. It’s not a viable option for a lot of people at all.

Also, call me an old Dino but I like having a physical copy when I buy something and will still buy special editions of blu Ray movies, cds, of something I really like. Never got on the kindle wagon either, I like my books 🤣.

I think streaming will have its place but can’t see it as being people’s only option.

Certainly would be nice to think they are planning something a lil bit special like this.

Can I just say, that this website has done a good job of making me jump thinking something is going to be announced with all the animal crossing images they have used for stories lately 😝

Look forward to watching. Always up for a good indie title or two.

Currently enjoying flame in the flood, certainly is a newish genre to me and would welcome more like it.

I think the NES one would tempt me. I think they all look great but if I am completely honest (prepare for a boring grown up comment... sorry) I love the look of the switch as is. It looks like such a classy little thing cuddled beside my sky box 🤪
