I am an adamant Monkey Ball fan, and I approve of this listing. Here's hoping Rumble can take the mantle for "Best Monkey Ball since the first two" (though the supposed absence of target still stings)!

@Darthmoogle @TotalHenshin Good to know, thanks for the heads-up! I'm a huge Demon Slayer fan, and while I like Mario Party okay, I tend to spend a large portion of the matches upset 😅 So if this does get some good DLC and QOL patches (and perhaps a sale), we'll likely snag a copy.

Bummer, this one seemed like a home run with my wife being a big fan of both Mario Party and Demon Slayer. Looks like we'll give it a pass 😞

Update: Just played a few rounds and this game deserved well more than a 5. In a few ways I actually prefer Sweep the Board's mechanics to Mario Party's!

@_Figo_ Monkey Target was a major strike against it, controls being the primary issue in a game about precision, but also lacked both modes of Monkey Target like the OG SMB Deluxe. Challenge mode had no multiplayer, unlockable (and DLC) characters like Kiryu couldn't be used in challenge mode, there's more than just controls that they fumbled. Ultimately when it is an inferior remake of the gamecube originals (or more accurately, a remake of the already flawed SMB Deluxe), it hurt me as a fan 😮‍💨 Despite how it sounds, I do want to see this series succeed again! I don't think Banana Mania is a "bad" game, and it has good ideas, it just could have been so much more.

@Pillowpants I feel like those wouldn't be modes they would hide from trailers considering they have a lot of fan loyalty to win back after fumbling Banana Mania. Also with the large focus on big fast-paced group multiplayer games, sadly modes like Billiards, Target, and Golf don't really fit that format 😞

@Polvasti Yeah there's definitely good models like those in the wild for sure. I expect cheaper alternatives to lack things like an accelerometer and NFC readers, I just never thought of rumble as a premium feature...probably because of third party controllers from previous consoles? 🤷‍♂️

I know nothing of the parts/manufacturing fees for controllers, but never thought rumble motors would be an expensive feature to include, and overall seems to be very rare for these sub-$80 alternatives to include 🤔

Nah. Even if it was lacklustre, I'll always get a kick out of the title "Tank! Tank! Tank!", so the extra enthusiasm doesn't bug me.

It's all personal preference, really. I could have worded it better. I think I was just saying I liked Robobot a lot, but it didn't impact me like Nightmare in Dreamland and Super Star did in my childhood. Super Star SNES is my go-to because I prefer the controls (B to Jump, Y to Attack) and art style. There's no denying how awesome Meta Knightmare was in Super Star Ultra though! Tons of fun with that mode.

Hard to say, really. I like the larger scope of Tears, the ultra hand abilities from Tears, the champion abilities from Breath, the plot of Breath, Tears had funner (but easier) shrines...I guess I like them equally 🫡

@Darthmoogle That's terrible! I also had a few orders go into "limbo" when they didn't actually get stock of the games/amiibo/etc. that I ordered and gave me a "we'll reach out to you if we hear anything"-type of response. So yeah, I'd say ripping them off is justified at this point with trades, especially since they've ripped us off with trade values for years now lol

A shell of the company they once were. Growing up, I could spend hours browsing the shelves of the local EB Games/GameStop. Once they started ridding of vintage games, that started their decline in my eyes. Not to mention the last couple pre-orders I made at a GameStop, where the game didn't get delivered to their store until the evening of release day or later.

MH3U on 3DS higher than Wii U must only be because more people owned 3DS lol Wii U having true online play was a huge leg up.
MH4U is my personal favorite, but they're all bangers!

I'm devastated. I just read through some of his earliest works in excitement for the upcoming Sand Land game. Now I'll play it in tears. An absolute legend, and like many, Dragon Ball/Z was a huge part of my childhood. RIP.

This is cool, I still like X and Y a lot, so I'm down to revisit the Kalos region! Hopefully this one gets the proper amount of time in the oven to either use the Switch or successor hardware properly.

It's worth noting that if you're using Joy Con or Pro Controller, the Dpad is a lot snappier than the sluggish analogue cursor when you're playing the solitaire sections (as you'll just snap between the card options instead of dragging a cursor to them).

Gotta swing a 7. Maybe closer to 6 when considering titles I'm actually interested in, but the breakneck pacing of it was extremely nice.

Glad to see another 3DS gem restored! I'll be picking this up for sure.

After Banana Mania, I'm hesitant to get too excited. I'll wait to see some impressions before jumping on it, they just can't seem to recapture what made the first two games (on GameCube) work so well.

@Aurumonado The first thing I did is downloaded my favorite event levels (that awarded amiibo outfits), levels from Koji Igarashi, then the levels from a few creators I followed back then.
Time for me to get some final Splatoon, Triforce Heroes, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate sessions in!

They should have just pulled a FF14, nuked the original game's world canonically and rebranded this updated version.

If they ever patch in the ability to choose the online modes that you want to play, I'll bite. Until then, I'll probably wait for a sale.

I was pleasantly surprised when I booted this up, and I say this not really being a Fortnite fan in general. Frankly I went in so blind I thought this was going to be a Lego BR, but I'm so glad it's not! I do wish you could download this separately without going through the usual Fortnite interface, but it's definitely worth checking out all things considered.

I'm so happy to have these games in one place. I wonder if we'll eventually see an Ace Attorney Investigations collection as well...(pretty please, I want to play an officially translated port of the second game!) 😏

Huh...well I guess making a mode that's just "F-Zero SNES Online" helps accommodate the permanently decreased player count. Otherwise not too much to get excited about unfortunately 😔

The only way to truly struggle at this dungeon is to not complete it in one sitting and lose your bearings. Ocarina 3D resolved the inconveniences, and I've always struggled with the shadow temple more than water.

Shantae was a great start, the rest was a wash for me.

I'm glad they are keeping Tetris 99 alive, but maybe F-Zero 99 could get some themed pilot cards or vehicle skins? I just hope that game isn't left out to dry after the last update 😕

X and Y were truly special. Full 3D Pokemon adventures with a customizable trainer. It was the last time my friends gave the series a shot, with some great trades and battles as we played through it simultaneously. If it had proper endgame content, it would probably be my favorite generation.

I bought one of these for my little brother before the Switch released, but I stuck with my New 3DS XL. If I come across one in the wild, I'll be tempted to pick it up. I always found the form factor to be interesting, and the L/R buttons feel pretty nice.

Predictable with the closure of the eShop for these systems, but this still saddens me. The 3DS and Wii U mark an era that saw my early struggles of independent adulthood, dating my eventual life partner, and starting my current career, among many other life events. Time to meet some more random hunters on MH4U while I still can 🫡😭

It's really hard to say which one I prefer. I leaned towards the original, but they each have strengths! I think the bloom is overdone on HD and some of the color palette changes are a little too saturated, but on the other hand I never thought the color palette of the original was all that appealing either. I do really enjoy the way sailing looks in HD with the cloud shadows!

None of my friends owned Amazing Mirror growing up, so I only ever got to play it solo. I'm very excited to finally play cooperatively!

@FishyS Trust me, surviving a match is half the battle (race?)! It's an especially useful skill for progressing in a Grand Prix!

Pay no heed to the moaners. This is a chaotic and very fun game, and a great way to show Ninty that a new F-Zero entry can succeed 😎 It's very touching that an OG dev even gives it praise!

I loved this series as a kid! I had so many of the action figures and they were awesome. I might have to pick this up considering I never got to play it previously!

Both covers are severely lacking stars! 🤭 Jokes aside, both are solid, but I feel the art style on Japan's is a tad stronger.

I knew something was afoot when the "Alien Hominid HD" tile on my Series S changed to "Alien Hominid 360". I poured a lot of time into both the GameCube and 360 ports back in the day. Especially PDA Games!

Shout-out to Last Hero of Nostalgia. It's a pretty solid souls-inspired game with some decent humor and countless references to other games.
