Jungle Beat on Wii is a great port, since it basically just plays like a typical DK platformer. Cubivore is also a must play, it's probably the weirdest GameCube game in general, and yet it gets weirdly addictive with how you build up your geometric predator.

This is astounding and fantastic. I immediately subscribed.

@Mauzuri Maybe they're focusing on villains with multiple 'forms'. But agreed this trifecta have been done to the ground.

As a point of reference, when my dad played his 360 he struggled with even mildly demanding gameplay (that wasn't NHL-related anyway) but he adored the creepy atmosphere of several games like BioShock, so he'd watch while I played instead. This would be a difficulty option for someone like him when there's nobody to hand the remote to.

This update singlehandedly reinvigorated my interest in New Horizons. I have more goals to strive for and ideas for island displays and organization. Like Smash, it's sad that it's (mostly) over but also a relief.

@Astral-Grain That was my impression too...if that is the case this is very misleading.

This is something the game needed so badly. I wanted to better see my donations clearly and the camera angles always seemed off or too zoomed out. I'm very excited.

I remember when I first held cats and dogs in Twilight Princess. Such a minor detail and never truly necessary, but insanely cute. And Link didn't just hold them out like a baby with full britches, he hugged them close like a real pet lover.

Pikmin 2 with Wii controls. I'm all over the laid back, underground-focused experience. And in the words of Reggie, "I feel like a purple Pikmin."

I can't really quantify this. I play games to enjoy them, not watching the clock to rank my investment or complain on social media. If I reach the credits and feel content, it's a good game, no matter how quickly I got there.

It looks like both the visuals and combat were completely changed 😒 Nonetheless, playing DQX untranslated for several hours was still enjoyable (even though I couldn't read anything), so I'd still buy this for sure if it gets localized.

I've been tossing around the idea of starting my file over from scratch, just for the busy work of organizing everything differently. Most of my AC friends have since stopped playing or sold their copies...I just want to have fun with it again 😞

So the whole affair is a tame mystery/life sim without any overarching darker themes or anything? Just a jolly jaunt in an English village?
