Feels a bit weird they're dropping this now, I know they have the soundtrack out in a couple of months so need to get it out before then, but Zelda is just over 2 weeks after that. I know not everyone is gonna be into that but a good 70% are. Seems as if they're trying to get in ahead of Zelda. I was trying to clear my playlist before TOTK, but whatever, I'll throw this into the mix as well.

It prints money!! Hopefully Nintendo see how viable it is to adapt other popular series to screen. Zelda, Metroid...it may be a bit obscure but even a Kid Icarus series.

Finally!! I'm glad to see XCDE is getting a separate soundtrack too. I prefer the original arrangements but would like to hear the new ones in proper quality instead of youtube quality.

And I thought we knew the last part of the DLC was coming in like December? I can't imagine it'll be ready in a couple of months.

I thought it was a great watch. Obviously dramatised with a bit of creative license thrown in. Found it a bit hard to keep track of who was claiming to own what at the beginning but by the sounds of it, so were the companies involved! A little bit annoying when they made a "that's why Zelda has Link" reference despite showing a clip with two Link's from a game that came out well after the 80s, when Link and Zelda are famously NOT a partnership in the game.

I'm not being funny but why so long? I'd be happy with a 3 minute trailer. I'm aware this is odd to be moaning about getting something that's supposed to be good, but I'm conflicted. We've come this far with knowing hardly anything. I'd be happy enough to keep it that way. But at the same time it only means I'm gonna have to dodge everyone else talking about it from this point on.

Completely forgot this was a thing. All these cool little bits for customisation 3DS had, there isn't a single thing on Switch. Wow.

Pokemon getting best scenario and best character hahahah sure. Heaven Burns Red for best music? We've not had a western release for that at all have we?

Personally I'm quite glad to be kept in the dark as much as possible about this. They could reveal absolutely nothing more about it and I'll still buy it, as would most people who played BotW. Though, it would be nice to see some actual gameplay even if it's just a couple of minutes.

It's cool but you can tell it's fan made. If they really made this there would be a lot more guiding and signposting to make sure you stay on the correct route. Also lots of course hazards. But cool to see someone race around the actual map.

"Print at home" rewards are as bad as print at home tickets. Fewer and fewer people even use a desktop/laptop these days let alone have a home printer, and one in which the ink hasn't dried up from 4 months of inactivity. You're then spending £ on new inks and the right paper to make it look decent. No thanks.

It's not even a limited release! It'll be available for months and years to come. What's the reason behind the US getting it a week before the rest of us anyway? Distribution issue?

I haven't noticed anything major tbh. A little slow down when entering the first seal dungeon when the sand is blowing, but that's it. If they could patch in the original intro music instead of that japanese song that would be lovely. It fit the video so much better.

Doubtful people will agree with me here, but it is a bit annoying these artbooks get released along side the game. Whenever I get one I don't look at it properly for months because it usually has environments or characters from late in the story I'd rather keep as a surprise. Obviously it's not going to matter in this instance now, but I wouldn't complain if when ordering a collectors edition of a game they just sent me the game and then the extras came a month later. They've had to do it for Xenoblade (due to supply issues) and I think they ought to do it for games like Zelda as standard. The other benefit is they often might leave out artwork which is considered too much of a spoiler, so delaying it would allow them to include it.

But besides all that, how about just releasing these books to retail instead of in limited edition collectors bundles? I'd pay for it by itself, I don't often want the stuff like the steelbooks that come with them. And that way, they can control WHEN the book is released much easier and also maybe keep it under wraps from leakers easier.

Anyway, I know people are gonna be reading this going what are you on about mate. But that's my opinion.

Honestly though? It's a positive that the sequel wasn't included. That game is truly truly awful. And one of the worst protagonists of any RPG.

I'm planning a trip abroad this year and I'm obviously going to take my Switch for that flight, and those nights back at the hotel. I've learned a lesson not taking my Switch with my for hotel stays. Usually I take my original Switch, which is an absolute godsend not having to pause progress on a game for a week and then muddle through remembering what I was doing when I pick it up again. But it is rather cumbersome for a flight, right? I have a Switch Lite that doesn't get played, so I was thinking of transferring all the saves to that for when I go. This piece has convinced me it's the right option. Smaller, easier to transport, no need for joy-con. Sorted.

You say predictably, but I had no idea Sunshine was that glitchy. Played through it 3 or 4 times never found it to be that way, whereas Mario 64...

Got a couple of cheap ones for like £12 on eBay. Never had a problem with them. The drift is eliminated in newer Joy-Con anyway, the Skyward Sword ones I've used since launch have never drifted.

This is going to be a long game isn't it? The first one was long, almost too long imo. It's gonna have to be on the back burner as it's a week after Tales of Symphonia anyway

Only from a collectors point of view. Certain Smash characters you just don't get much merch for. Pyra/Mythra for example. But it's starting to get harder as people snap them up to sell on. Already missed out on Sepiroth this year.

It can't be Switch, wouldn't make sense anyway as there's no mic, and despite being "portable" few people carry it around with them all day. It's a perfect game for phones and hopefully they bring back Bark Park, the original StreetPass feature on the DS. Very surprised they haven't already utilised bluetooth for something similar anyway.

Just not looking forward to it being free and then having an option to buy in game currency to unlock stuff, or subscribe to make it quicker to earn. Such is the way phone gaming is these days.

Hyrule Castle please. Not that I ever buy these, I can't justify the price for something I'll just dismantle due to lack of space to display it. Some mini character sets like Mario have would be great though

I mean not only are they going to have compatibility for the old ones, there's obviously going to be a bunch of new ones coming too. You'd be silly to think otherwise.

@Dinglehopper exactly, Toon Link has had so many games. There is no "second chance" as if it's a failed design. Let's have more Twilight or Skyward Link

I don't know how any one of you who played Xenoblade Chronicles 3 doesn't have it as your highest played game. It's huge, I started a week or so after release and I'm STILL playing it 130 hours later. Slowed up because of the release of other games admittedly but unless you skimmed through it or just didn't bother finishing it idk how there's another game you've played more.

@BlueBCA yeah I'd agree with that, that time span of 23 years is way too big to lump all the games together. The Dreamcast-PS2 era should be separate. I'd say Wii up until Forces, then this game is a new era completely.

As much as I'd love to revisit Mira on Switch, I'd rather have an entirely new X game. X2 would be bigger and wouldn't need to try and make compromises to get around the dual screen design of the first game. X is far better than XC2 as well. Going from X to that, it was a real disappointment.

No doubt people will complain these all "look like crap" because it's slightly less textured than the main game's tracks, whilst zooming around at high speed.

Spoilers, but if the series carries on with Viola as the main character I don't think I'm gonna bother. Not only is she incredibly hard to fight with and dodges like a tree in a gale, she's actually a really irritating personality. Moody punk girl with parent issues oh no. The script for Bayonetta has always been one of the best aspects, with the wit and sass and charisma from Cereza. Now it's going to be this bratty P!nk wannabe who lacks all the style of her mother. I'd rather it was a Jeanne spin-off.

What exactly is it people have a problem with Ed Sheeran for? In music terms at least he writes his own stuff. The hate towards him is bizarre, I don't like Sam Smith but I'm not screaming about it.
