Oh, Nintendo... You don't know how tempted I am to use this. There is no reason not to hurry up and release as many games as possible if it's truly that easy. Especially games that have been out in other regions for months, like... I don't know... Game & Watch Gallery 3? I won't do it, but damn is it tempting.

If they put SSBB up, I really hope they keep it identical to disk and don't do something to block Hackless Project M from working. I may prefer Smash 4 competitively, but PM's still decent.

I rented Punch-Out once and I regretted not buying it. So I'm snapping it up while it's cheap.

Ninja Pig, the art style was not changed as you explicitly claimed it was. We can see that clear as day, in the comparisons between the two. While it's true that a palette swap was applied, that's not sufficient to claim something as your own. Unless, of course, all those Sonic the Hedgehog recolors floating around out there actually DO belong to their "owners"?

@StephenYap3: The site isn't closing until July. Mewtwo's window of release has been confirmed to be in Spring; late March to early June.

Also, we knew for a while that the last date to register for the DLC/soundtrack promotion was January 17th.

I guess Mewtwo is their way of saying goodbye.

@Sakura: Sakurai did say an amiibo of his own mii already exists. They are CONSIDERING some kind of custom-order thing.

Hopefully it'll come to North America. The more once-export-only titles make their grand debut on the eShop, the better.

I'm gonna have to agree with the experts on this one. One attack not have both that level of reliability and all-purposeness. It's too safe to use, to the point where people can get away with using it as a crutch.

For those curious, remember that there is one way the game is available to the general public right now.

A remake was included as a full minigame in WarioWare: Inc., Mega Microgame$, unlockable by scoring 25 points on the next-to-last stage. It has Wario's nose on the sheriff himself and he's able to walk faster than in the original, but otherwise, it's a faithful recreation from what I can tell - the L/R buttons even simulate that knob.

Hopefully this means he'll be able to keep Smash 5 on the right track at the supervising level with Sakurai retiring and all.

I don't know why, but I just have the fondest memories of Diamond / Pearl.

The Pokétch being something that really should return is only a small part of the reason.

Yeah, the game's so much more fun when you turn the reticle off. Leaving it on just feels like using a mouse.

If you've bought a Wii Zapper just for this game, remember to use it on other ganes to get the most out of it, such as the Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime games (reversing the controls on the latter). This game IS fun with the Zapper, but not enough to buy a peripheral ONLY for.

I think this is the first week I've ever picked up ALL of the current VC releases.

I milked that promotion for all it was worth. It's a good thing I prefer retail games as digital copies above discs. And I'm a Virtual Console collector. I probably got, like, $50 for free so far.

And still no Ultra SFIV patch. For shame.

We know all those are coming anyway.

My guess is that Pac-Man and Greninja will be the ones we see earliest out of those, because they're starter characters.

Then will come Ness, who's a starter in Smash U but unlockable in Smash 3D.

That's when G-Dubs, Pittoo, and Lucina, the characters that are always unlockable, will start showing up.

Seriously, though, I'm happy about this one. I rented the first in the trilogy years ago and never had a chance to finish it before I had to return it. Now I can find out what happens the way I'm supposed to.

Even without counting Bayonetta/2 and X/Y as separates, that's still 17, over twice what's on the competition. So it didn't really matter that they dual - counted .

Meme Run should never have been given the opportunity to get published, because by definition, everything on it is stolen. Just like everything Ninja Pig does is big, fat plagiarism. Remember IQ Quiz, which is The Impossible Quiz except you have to pay for it? The developer should be blacklisted.

Mario's less the Mickey Mouse who ushers in each new step of development than he is the Donald Duck who thinks he's still a major star but was left behind the race ages ago. New hardware is all well and good, but they should stop pretending that they're ahead of their competitors.

Free tries are available to win for free? That makes it worthwhile. Not locking a feature behind a paywall entirely, just allowing easier access to it for those who pay.

As excited as I am for the game itself, the best part is that this opens the door to more experiments with the VC. Mario Paint with the gamepad acting as the mouse? GBA games with Amiibo in the place of the E-Reader? GAME BOY MULTIPLAYER?
