Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time

@Paulo Rhythm Heaven wasn't shown because it's likely not releasing in early or spring 2026 and the other games are very much something to be excited about for the people who care about these franchises.
Would the direct suddenly be a 7/10 if Rhythm Heaven Groove was shown despite not even being a new announcement just because you care about it more than Yoshi, Mario Tennis or Pokémon?

@SirLink I literally can only think of a hand full of small publishers that don't discount their games much. Almost all big and mid sized publishers including Marvelous discount their games a lot and often give them permanent price cuts. Marvelous does that with their Story of Seasons games. Ubisoft, EA, Take Two/2K, Konami, anything Microsoft owned like Bethesda, Sega and Square Enix are very heavy with discounts.

The only notable ones I can think of that aren't very aggressive with discounts are Spike Chunsoft and Nippon Ichi Software, as the Disgaea games are never more than 35% off, but still very very often and Spike Chunsoft's games take a while until they go on sale, but then they still do go on sale for 40-50% off eventually.
Prototype never discount their games and Factorio afaik never goes on sale.

You're just generally wrong.

@SirLink What policy are you talking about? Nintendo sometimes discounts their games by 33% and not more than that. Other publishers most of the time discount their games much more than after a while and even give their games permanent price cuts after a while. It's very easy to get many third party games for more than 50% off after just a year or two.
Monster Hunter Rise for example went on sale for like 50% off, then got a permanent price cut down to 40€ and then continued to go on sale for 50% off for even cheaper.

@Paulo The Switch 2 chipset is from 2022 afaik and not very similar at all to the PS4 as it's a mobile chipset and the console also has a lot of capabilities that the PS4 doesn't at all.
And this game is just not properly optimized. That's all there is to it. More demanding games already run on the Switch 2 with better performance.

Or are you being sarcastic?

Re: Metroid Prime 4 Rating Spotted On Nintendo's Website

BTB20

@Bunkerneath It doesn't have simulated gambling. That's just a general description of what games can get a T-rating for. It says that in the article very clearly and say and/or for a reason. And most Nintendo games have that "in-game purchases" tag with no actual in-game purchases.

@AG_Awesome Nobody is livid about anything here. Why do you continue to claim that everyone who's replying to you is angry?
"I often forget people don’t allow that anymore."
All of your replies to me come across like actual ragebait.

Nobody at any point even suggested you're not allowed anything. Nobody at any point got angry about anything.

Stop trolling and stop talking passed my point. It's great that you would have preferred Superstars to get additional content, but the amount you said you'd want is not at all realistic.
But I guess me saying that means I'm angry, infuriated and livid or something.

@AlanaHagues "On the hardware side of things, Switch 2 sales continue to climb as the new console has sold an extra 20k+ units this week compared to last — it shifted 152,165 this week compared to 128,643 last week. That's a nice boost thanks to DK, we reckon."

The Switch 2 sold 71.885 units the previous week. 128k was the week before that. I think you skipped last week's article.
