@darkswabber Mario Super Sluggers is a Wii game. Will probably still come to NSO at some point in the next 10 years though.

@Bunkerneath It doesn't have simulated gambling. That's just a general description of what games can get a T-rating for. It says that in the article very clearly and say and/or for a reason. And most Nintendo games have that "in-game purchases" tag with no actual in-game purchases.

@Not_Soos Yes, this is just a general description of what T-rating means. As the article says, the "rating summary" where they describe the specific game has not gone live yet.

@Ralizah Why was the 1080p screen a mistake? The game runs on PS4, do it should run better on Switch 2 even if only somewhat well optimized. It's obvious they didn't put the effort in. At least that demo is not the final build, so it's to be better in the end.

@Jedrus_Lilac What exactly is "lazy" there? It's a $60 game + it's DLC. That has been normal pricing for games like this for many years now. Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3 are $90 main game + DLC. BotW is $80 main game + DLC.

You're acting like that's not a ton of new content that would basically just be a new game. 8 new boards would be more than any of the three Switch entries have. A few side modes added and you have a full game.

@rjejr Nintendo's DLC most of the time are 10-30 USD. And Mario Party is not just a board game.

@Max_the_German It was compatible but had some minor issue. There were several Nintendo games like that, including Smash Ultimate for example.

@stinky_t That was only in March 2017 and because the Switch was sold out everywhere. Some people went into the store to buy a Switch and BotW and could only find the latter so they bought it in preparation. Since practically everyone who bought a Switch in March 2017 also bought BotW, the game was 20k copies higher than the console. Not really possible with Bananza as not even close to everyone who has a Switch 2 is buying the game at launch or at all. So even when many people buy the game before the console there are many more who have the console but don't buy the game.

@Bulborb It wasn't at 17 million in October 2017 yet. And 5 million Switch 2's was in June.

Regardless this data here is just about the UK retail. Extrapolating to the whole world based on that never works. It's less Nintendo leaning than most other regions and more digital heavy than almost any other country in the world.
So worldwide Switch 1 or Switch 2 numbers at the time of the game's release mean nothing here.

@Smithicus A demo would present the concept and would be short. Super Mario Odyssey is massive and does basically everything that can be done with cappy as a mechanic, both for capturing and as a platforming aid. A demo would only give a snippet of what can be done.

@FaroreAbhorsen Less than 10 million of the copies Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold were sold through the black friday bundles. Nintendo reports how many bundled games got sold in each fiscal year and with all the other bundles combined it's at most a few million in some years and below 1.5 million in others.
