Hopefully Arcade Archives does Tekken 2 and 3 also. I think a physical release of all three would sell really well on Nintendo hardware, especially after Smash Ultimate added Kazuya.

I know you say that you don't have to remap the buttons, but does it let you remap the buttons? Some controllers like the NSO controllers don't let you.

I really wish they added the Zoness music. That track is my favourite from the original and the one I'm looking forward to the most. What they have here sounds really good though.

The character designs look really good when you put the proper Starfox boots on them.

Anyway, the game looks gorgeous and I really hope they make a proper sequel.

I like the designs but I hate that they took away the boots. The human hands but animal feet just look wrong. The boots were an iconic part of the designs that I don't think they should've changed. They even draw attention to the boots specifically in the movie!

I think it's nuts that we're doing this story a 5th time but yes I'll buy it on a sale. And I really hope they'll make new sequels on Switch 2. I wonder who's developing it.

Edit: The three major gaps in the Switch 1 library was Donkey Kong, Star Fox, and F-Zero. Now in the first year of Switch 2 we have Donkey Kong and Star Fox so I am fully expecting an F-Zero revival.

@Olmectron I said the first game - Starfox 64 is a remake of the first game.

Like most everyone, I'm kind of upset that it's another remake of the first game, but if they make sequels to this game (think "Starfox 2", "Starfox 3") then it will all be worth it. Like Samus Returns --> Dread or Famicom Detective Club --> Emio or Link's Awakening --> Echoes of Wisdom.

Edit: They casually confirmed Solar is a star. I don't think we've ever gotten that confirmation before (it has land sections in Star Fox Command). We also see an actual map of the system that shows all the orbits which we've never seen before. Venom is supposed to be the first planet in the Lylat System but it looks like it's furthest away now.

I'm also kinda upset that it's the same story for the 5th time but if they can manage to make new sequels to this game relatively quickly (think "Starfox 2", "Starfox 3") then it'll all be worth it.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle didn't even have real physicals on PS5 and XBOX which makes the Switch 2 version the only real physical version.

I played as Daisy for the entirety of Super Mario Wonder because I just couldn't enjoy the new voices of the bros. Mario and Luigi both sounded great in Brothership though. And then Mario Kart World is back to wack voices. I'm not sure what's going on.

That can't be right. Whoever Famitsu interviewed must have misinterpreted the "20X9" year. It's clearly before Metroid II like all the other Prime games.

Also is it really another dimension or is it just another planet? The game just talks about "teleporters". Myles reverse engineers it and make mini teleporters. There's even reference to a leviathan seed in one of the boss scans.

EDIT: I read the interview and while it doesn't explicitly say, it feels like it's Kensuke Tanabe answering the questions. Timeline placement still doesn't make sense though.

I'm pretty sure her grandmother is Odyssey Pauline. Donkey Kong '94 confirms that Lady is Pauline and Jumpman is Mario. If Bananza Pauline were a younger version of Odyssey Pauline then main character of Donkey Kong '81 couldn't be Mario. These same devs also confirmed in a previous interview that Jumpman is Mario.

I personally think that Bananza isn't a prequel to Odyssey but a sequel. New Donk City looks way more modern compared to the one from Odyssey and I think that was intentional. If they just wanted to hit the nosalgia of the players, they would've made it look the same as Odyssey.

Think about how amazing it would be if they somehow made it work in 3D with the virtual boy peripheral.

Tip to save money this gen: buy used and don't buy DLC. I did that a lot in the Switch 1 generation, and I'll do it again here.

I got DKB for $60 CAD on kijiji and I won't be buying any DLC. So that's $60 instead of $146.87. I've already moved on to another game.

I never bought DLC for Splatoon 3, FE3H, Luigi's Mansion 3, ACNH, or any other Switch 1 game and I won't do it here either. Save your money to buy more games.

I believe if you were a physical collector at launch then your only options were Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077, and the new Rune Factory. Made it really easy for us.

I couldn't undo 8 years of playing Odyssey. I had to switch A and B.

There isn't really a physical version of this on any system. Xbox and PS5 both require full downloads and the Switch 2 version will obviously be a key card. It's one of the few games I played on gamepass.

New Donk City in Bananza is way more modern looking than the 1930's one in Odyssey. It's for that reason that I think Bananza takes place after Odyssey. Bananza Pauline mentions her grandma a lot so I think that's significant.

Mario Kart World has one of the greatest OSTs of all time and I hope every monday that it'll be added to the app.
