Re: Rumour: A Metroid Movie May Become A Reality As Two Studios Battle For Rights

AnnoyingFrenzy

As a massive Metroid fan.....I'm fine with whatever direction they take the movies honestly. Obviously, I would LOVE for the movies to be good, but at the end of the day the movies would never re-create what I get from the games; the exploration, the adventure, the puzzles. The movies are a fun side thing to me and whether its good or bad, it will never be able to take away from the experiences I already have had that made me the Metroid fan I am now.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

AnnoyingFrenzy

I don't understand why people keep saying the first movie had no plot. Was Bowser invading the mushroom kingdom to kidnap peach for his wedding while Mario tries to rescue his brother really too difficult to follow? That's more plot than most of the games!

Anyway, I thought it was a 7/10 myself and expect the same from this movie. Good animation, some funny writing, but nothing too special.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Checking Out Switch Online's Virtual Boy Service?

AnnoyingFrenzy

I like the people saying things like "I hope the sales of this flop hard" like this is some release you can buy in your local Walmart. Like guys, this is VIRTUAL BOY on NSO. If you think Nintendo has any grand ambitions with this I have a bridge to sell you. Being NSO + expansion pass exclusive and requiring a replica headset and, again, being VIRTUAL BOY should clue everyone in that is solely a release meant for hardcore Nintendo fans and not the general public, thus Nintendo is eyeing extremely limited sales with this one.

Re: Toad And Toadette's New Voice Actors Have Been Confirmed

AnnoyingFrenzy

I personally try not to form para-social relationships with the VAs of characters I like. I agree with some of the other comments I've seen, its really not that big of a deal. I'm sure Samantha will be able to find additional voice acting work and/or has plenty in savings to survive. Not too mention since they hired four people to replace her that means more people getting paid no?

Re: Microsoft Announces Another Wave Of Layoffs, Over 9,000 Jobs Affected

AnnoyingFrenzy

Say what you will about Nintendo, but I can't think of a single time in recent memory where Nintendo officially announced a game and ended up canceling it outright. At the very least I can trust them to deliver what they tell me (eventually).

The sad part about stories like these is that the community will forget about it in a week and go back to complaining about how intermission tracks are ruining their hobby.

Re: The DK Rap Is Back In Donkey Kong Bananza, But Nobody Told Its Composer

AnnoyingFrenzy

It's one thing for Grant, but lets be real here, its not Grant Kirkhope that this is a major issue for. The guy isn't going to be lacking in job offers or miss having his name enshrined in fans' hearts because his name isn't in the credits for a game he technically didn't work on. No, the real issue with this policy is for up and comer or lesser known composers that could use the exposure. There are a few criticisms of modern Nintendo that come across as more fandom whining that genuine criticisms, but this is not one of them. Really no excuse in my eyes for not giving credit where its due.
