As a massive Metroid fan.....I'm fine with whatever direction they take the movies honestly. Obviously, I would LOVE for the movies to be good, but at the end of the day the movies would never re-create what I get from the games; the exploration, the adventure, the puzzles. The movies are a fun side thing to me and whether its good or bad, it will never be able to take away from the experiences I already have had that made me the Metroid fan I am now.
Some people will strangely complain despite the fact that neither Peach nor Rosalina's "canon" backstory not ever actually mattering to the games or story and will most likely continue to never matter beyond flavor text which is what they always were.
already pre-ordered. Rhythm Heaven Megamix was a Top 25 game of all time for me and if this can live up to even half that game's quality its already a GOTY contender
I don't understand why people keep saying the first movie had no plot. Was Bowser invading the mushroom kingdom to kidnap peach for his wedding while Mario tries to rescue his brother really too difficult to follow? That's more plot than most of the games!
Anyway, I thought it was a 7/10 myself and expect the same from this movie. Good animation, some funny writing, but nothing too special.
Everyone complaining about Star Fox in Mario Galaxy getting revealed because "spoilers" but suddenly excited that they got spoiled smhmh. I'm pissed off either way.
Everyone going "SPOILERS!" as if Nintendo didn't post about it themselves? It's legitimate news, NintendoLife is pretty much obligated to report on it.
Part of me wonders if Sega was hoping this would be their Smash Bros equivalent. A crossover event that causes the fandom to froth at the mouth with speculation over who is going to get in next, generating hype for the next character announcement by merely existing.
Considering Samus Returns didn't break one million and we still got Dread, as well as Federation Force doing miserable sales wise and Prime 4 was still greenlit, I'm not too worried about how well it does, although higher sales are always nicer.
Pretty obvious Nintendo is positioning the amiibo line as collector's display pieces rather than additional game features like they used to be, hence the increase in price and quality/size of the figures and the decrease in functionality.
I wonder what the landscape is going to look like regarding Game Key Cards this time next year. My prediction is that its going to go the way of "code-in-a-box" and get mild groans of dissatisfaction and eye-rolls due to them just becoming another fact of life.
I won't be picking it up because the main appeal with this and the last one is the story relating to the current world of Zelda, which I didn't care for. The original Hyrule Warriors was very fun, I put over 500 hours on it between Wii U and Switch, but I don't feel compelled to pick AoC or AoI up.
One of my favorite things about this game was watching twitter go from absolute revulsion about the games existence to stanning their top waifus and discussing the meta in the span of about 24 hours.
I like the people saying things like "I hope the sales of this flop hard" like this is some release you can buy in your local Walmart. Like guys, this is VIRTUAL BOY on NSO. If you think Nintendo has any grand ambitions with this I have a bridge to sell you. Being NSO + expansion pass exclusive and requiring a replica headset and, again, being VIRTUAL BOY should clue everyone in that is solely a release meant for hardcore Nintendo fans and not the general public, thus Nintendo is eyeing extremely limited sales with this one.
I personally try not to form para-social relationships with the VAs of characters I like. I agree with some of the other comments I've seen, its really not that big of a deal. I'm sure Samantha will be able to find additional voice acting work and/or has plenty in savings to survive. Not too mention since they hired four people to replace her that means more people getting paid no?
My original Switch 1 Pro Controller never drifted or had any obvious issues. It was my favorite way to play the Switch (especially since the joy-cons had connectivity issues when not attached to the console). I'm not worried about the Switch 2 Pro Controller at all.
Say what you will about Nintendo, but I can't think of a single time in recent memory where Nintendo officially announced a game and ended up canceling it outright. At the very least I can trust them to deliver what they tell me (eventually).
The sad part about stories like these is that the community will forget about it in a week and go back to complaining about how intermission tracks are ruining their hobby.
It's one thing for Grant, but lets be real here, its not Grant Kirkhope that this is a major issue for. The guy isn't going to be lacking in job offers or miss having his name enshrined in fans' hearts because his name isn't in the credits for a game he technically didn't work on. No, the real issue with this policy is for up and comer or lesser known composers that could use the exposure. There are a few criticisms of modern Nintendo that come across as more fandom whining that genuine criticisms, but this is not one of them. Really no excuse in my eyes for not giving credit where its due.

Re: Nintendo & Illumination Are Releasing An Untitled Movie In April 2028
My money is on Mario. Wouldn't be surprised if they started working on Mario 2 and 3 after how successful the first one was.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Yoshi's Universal Gravitation (GBA)
No idea why Europe got so many votes when it has the worse title and the worse boxart (Yoshi isn't even balancing on anything?!). Japan EASILY wins.

Watch it just be Funky Pops and a soundtrack CD and nothing else

Re: Pokémon XD: Gale Of Darkness Comes To Switch 2 GameCube NSO In March
funnily enough, I actually played XD first as a kid because I didn't know it was a sequel. That said, strange decision.

Re: Metroid Prime 4 & Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Sales Get Off To A Slow Start
I'm confused, wasn't there an article just a little bit ago that Age of Imprisonment has sold over a million already.
