Re: Nintendo's Doug Bowser Talks About Switch Joy-Con Drift

AnnoyingFrenzy

Well, that's official acknowledgment it exists at least. A step in the right direction? I personally haven't experienced any drift on my switch yet (had it bad on my Wii U's left stick and Xbox One's right stick though, so I know how awful it can be). I'll probably just invest in a pro controller when it does happen though.

Re: Master Chief Joins The Battle In Fortnite

@TheRedComet The Covenant is a great level, probably the best one in Halo 3. My personal favorite level in the original trilogy has got to be Cairo Station from Halo 2, but that's most likely my nostalgia goggles talking since Halo 2 was my first Halo game.

@TheFullAndy Sorry, couldn't resist a little jab. I agree the marketing opportunity is strong, and if any series needs better marketing its Metroid, but still I remain skeptical of Nintendo being willing to do it. We shall see in a couple months probably.

Re: Master Chief Joins The Battle In Fortnite

@TheFullAndy My hangup is that Kratos and Master Chief are appearing in Fortnite on Switch, but I'm not sure Nintendo will allow Samus or whoever to appear on PlayStation and Xbox, just doesn't seem like something they'd do. I guess they could make Samus exclusive to Switch, but is that something Epic Games would want? Stranger things have happened, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Re: Monster Hunter Movie's Chinese Premiere Reportedly Cancelled Due To Racist Joke

AnnoyingFrenzy

Ehhh... people are acting like they put the rhyme verbatim into the movie. I agree that the rhyme is offensive, but I don't think the movie is actually referencing it? The entire point was to make the "Chi-knees" pun. Assuming the character/actor is Chinese in some way it actually works. Is it the "Look at these knees" line? That line combines the "Look at these" and "Dirty knees" lines of the rhyme, but doesn't contain either of the racist elements of those lines. Specifically he neither points to his breasts nor uses the word dirty. I don't know, in my opinion the joke in the movie doesn't reflect a usage of a racist playground rhyme, but I'm not Chinese and can't tell them what they can and can't be offended by so I'll defer to their judgement. Not like it matters the movie is toss anyway.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses Is Now The Best-Selling Entry In The Entire Series

AnnoyingFrenzy

Huh, thought Fates did better than Awakening, then again, they split that one into three games so I guess that would inflate the numbers. Edit: Yeah, just checked a few sites and they all say that Fates did 3.00 Million and Awakening did 2.31 Million. Obviously then, Awakening sold better as an individual game than Fates did, but I'm not seeing a 2.94 Million for Awakening anywhere. Where is that number coming from, I am genuinely curious.
