Recently got into Ace Attorney and loved it! Got the trilogy on switch and then had to get all the ones on 3DS including Layton vs Wright. Can't wait for these to get localized!

Those heathens, nothing short of grovelling at my feet for a year shall stay my rage from this completely ignoble act of utter malice.

Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass are my second and third least favorite Zelda games. It's a problem I found with most games on the DS that weren't an RPG, Platformer, or Rhythm Game, the controls just never felt good on the DS for those types of games and it really hindered my enjoyment. If this signals a remake that fixes those issues I'll gladly give those games a second chance.

You technically have to "get used" to every game mechanic ever.

This is more of a testament to how well the modder designed potential Mario cactuses than anything else. It's not like the modder owns the cactus designs and besides, now they can brag about how their design made it into official Mario merch.

I never understood how Nintendo could block it. As far as I know they didn't own the rights to James Bond games anymore and its not like they blocked Perfect Dark or Banjo on XBLA.

You know, I think people would want to notice that the servers had changed. It might imply that they're useable now.

The Tomb Raider reboot games are so good. I got addicted to that survival mode in Rise. Would love to have Rise on Switch.

While I did enjoy the original Hyrule Warriors more, I can't deny that Age of Calamity was a blast as well.

Disappointed to see so many people complaining about the article. I found it funny. Yes, Xbox does not have a very strong presence in Japan, but the fact that they launched a brand new console and it still couldn't even beat the 3DS, which was dropped from production, makes it even more hilarious.

The only really surprising thing here to me is FFVIIR not breaking 1 million.

A better Calamity boss than BOTW!

I played Super Mario Party at a friend's house and the most fun we had was with the Rhythm game modes. And I mean we had a TON of fun with it and a decent amount of fun with the rest of it. If the next Mario Party expands on this first one they could have a winner on their hands.

I figured something like this was going to eventually happen.

But when will they release on N64?

GameCube is still my favorite Nintendo console, but Switch is an easy second.

@Minfinity Oh yes I'm aware that they actively don't do that, as far as I can tell that has been their strategy since before they even bought out Retro Studios. But then, why did they buy out Retro and Monolith? Clearly, there are some conditions on which they buy studios, I'm curious to see when the next one comes up.

This makes me wonder if Nintendo will ever outright buy another studio. IIRC the last time they did that was back in the late 2000s when they bought out Monolith Soft.

What's weird is that there are so many video games I feel would make awesome movies, but somehow directors keep screwing it up. Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog are the only genuinely good video game movies somehow.

I also thought Zelda's voice acting (well voice acting for most of the characters) wasn't particularly good. In fact, I'd say some of the voices were full-on grating to my ears and one of the worst parts of BoTW, but I would never NEVER harass them for it, that's uncalled for and contributes nothing.

@Specters Don't get me wrong, I found Geno to be boring as well. I agree Mallow had more personality than Geno, who was mostly a stick in the mud, but he just didn't have a personality that I liked. At no point in the story did I ever find him particularly likable. Both Mallow and Geno were kicked out of the party in favor of Bowser and Peach, not because those two had better stats or anything, but because I found those characters far more likable.

They can't fool me! Obviously, Fighter Pass 9, Botw 2, Prime 4 and a new F-Zero, Rhythm Heaven, and Golden Sun will be featured in a surprise ending. My very irresponsible hype train has left the station! Next stop, soul-crushing disappointment station! WOOT WOOT.

@Specters Not sure if your sarcastic or not, but Mallow might be my least favorite party member in any RPG I've played.

@KingBowser86 Yeah, it was a spur of the moment thing though, my plan going in wasn't to win that way, i just sort of did. I will say that I have beaten Sephiroth "legitimately" (ie: gotten his stamina to zero) since then though. Most recently with Byleth.

@KingBowser86 Yeah, most likely. I beat him with Chrom and managed to get him with Aether offstage.

Guys, he never had a shot. He wasn't the main character of a beloved retro series like Banjo, or a major villain of multiple games like Ridley and K. Rool. He was just a side character in a single game that you could remove from the party and never use again. Face it, Barret was never going to be a fighter.

@sanderev My current record with Very Hard Sephiroth is 41 seconds. Took many attempts and I will admit I got a little lucky.

Edit: Lol, went on twitter and saw so many people beat him in under 15 seconds. Yeah, not good enough to do that.

I know it's due to hardware shortages, but there's something funny about seeing the PS4 ahead of the PS5 on this list (not factoring in the separation of the digital-only one of course).

@rjejr To be fair, he does have people above him. He may be the president of NoA, but I'm pretty sure he still answers to NoJ in some way as that's where the answers to most of these come from. If Furukawa says Doug can't talk about this, then he can't. At least, I'm pretty sure the CEO has that kind of weight over the COO.
