Re: Nordisk Games Acquires 40% Of Metroid: Samus Returns Developer MercurySteam

@superguy123 Doesn't read like that, quoting the Wikipedia article on Monolith soft, "Nintendo's purchasing of the majority of Monolith Soft's shares from Bandai Namco Holdings was publicly announced in April 2007. Nintendo became the majority shareholder of Monolith Soft with 80% of shares, while Bandai Namco retained 16% and remained as a development partner. Namco Bandai stated that the exchange of Monolith Soft shares would strengthen their relationship with Nintendo. The remaining shares were divided between Takahashi, Sugiura and Honne. Nintendo's acquisition of Monolith Soft contrasted against the company's previous publicized approach of not taking part in mergers and acquisitions of other studios and companies. In a statement on the matter, Iwata said that the deal was initiated due to the positive relations between Sugiura and Nintendo, and the two companies' parallel design and development philosophies."

Re: Random: Smash Bros. Fans React To Geno's Return As A Mii Fighter Costume

@Specters Don't get me wrong, I found Geno to be boring as well. I agree Mallow had more personality than Geno, who was mostly a stick in the mud, but he just didn't have a personality that I liked. At no point in the story did I ever find him particularly likable. Both Mallow and Geno were kicked out of the party in favor of Bowser and Peach, not because those two had better stats or anything, but because I found those characters far more likable.

Re: Nintendo's Doug Bowser Talks About Switch Joy-Con Drift

AnnoyingFrenzy

Well, that's official acknowledgment it exists at least. A step in the right direction? I personally haven't experienced any drift on my switch yet (had it bad on my Wii U's left stick and Xbox One's right stick though, so I know how awful it can be). I'll probably just invest in a pro controller when it does happen though.

Re: Master Chief Joins The Battle In Fortnite

@TheRedComet The Covenant is a great level, probably the best one in Halo 3. My personal favorite level in the original trilogy has got to be Cairo Station from Halo 2, but that's most likely my nostalgia goggles talking since Halo 2 was my first Halo game.

@TheFullAndy Sorry, couldn't resist a little jab. I agree the marketing opportunity is strong, and if any series needs better marketing its Metroid, but still I remain skeptical of Nintendo being willing to do it. We shall see in a couple months probably.

Re: Master Chief Joins The Battle In Fortnite

@TheFullAndy My hangup is that Kratos and Master Chief are appearing in Fortnite on Switch, but I'm not sure Nintendo will allow Samus or whoever to appear on PlayStation and Xbox, just doesn't seem like something they'd do. I guess they could make Samus exclusive to Switch, but is that something Epic Games would want? Stranger things have happened, so we'll just have to wait and see.
